“frustrating navigation issues”
Pros
It's available free for more than one user which makes it a practical option for small teams.
Cons
Using it feels frustrating because the user experience is poor. I ended up spending more time hunting for features than actually getting anything done in the app.

“clear task breakdowns”
Pros
One of the best parts of the app is the way it's organized, letting every task be broken down and viewed clearly.
Cons
I just wish there were better controls over the kinds of communication I want to receive because the notifications can sometimes feel a bit excessive.

“Feature packed project organizer”
Pros
As a project management platform it works really well and comes with a huge range of features. It can be a strong fit for certain teams though it may not suit every workflow.
Cons
At the same time the number of features felt a little overwhelming and the default notification settings were pretty obnoxious since alerts were coming through for practically everything.

“Capable tool”
Pros
It has been a really capable platform for coordinating projects. It's highly customizable to match the way I personally work and the interface seems very user friendly. I also share access with some of my clients so they can create, edit and update tasks themselves which has been incredibly helpful. One of my favorite parts is how well it pulls stakeholders out of the endless email chaos.
Cons
The one thing I'd love to see is a mid-tier pricing option for entrepreneurs who want a few pro-level features without having to jump to the fairly expensive full upgrade. I can absolutely see the value in upgrading so it's not that the price is unjustified. I just wish there were a way to pick the specific features that would help most and pay a lower amount instead of buying the whole package for only one or two things I really want. It kind of feels like back when you had to buy an entire album just to get the two songs you actually wanted, lol.

“fantastic for project tracking”
Pros
Using it as an end user has been really easy. It makes project tracking very simple and it works especially well for design tasks since you can upload JPGs of artwork and get approvals right there. Having a free version available is also a big plus.
Cons
The admin side can be a bit confusing to me although I haven't actually served as an admin before. Whenever I've tried setting up jobs myself, I've usually made mistakes. That seems more related to my lack of experience than to any issue with the software.

“clean workflows and handy forms”
Pros
It has a clean, user friendly layout with clickable fields all over the place which makes moving through tasks feel natural. Permission limits are also shown very clearly so it's much less likely to click something by mistake when a user doesn't have admin access. The customizable fields are useful, the color design is appealing and sorting items is easy. The forms feature has been especially valuable since submissions turn into jobs immediately and it's even better now that they've made it available across all subscription plans.
Cons
One thing that still feels outdated is how poorly the site responds to browser width. Even back in 2019, that seemed strange. I often have to scroll sideways just to view all my fields because the project name column stays wider than most of my actual project names need. On top of that I can't set up a project description to fill my screen in a narrow browser window and keep it off to the side while I work. Because of the responsiveness problem, I'm stuck dealing with cut-off views and a layout that won't collapse properly.

“handy task sorting and notes”
Pros
Task management works well here especially the task view and the option to organize items by assignee, owner and similar fields. It's particularly useful for recurring daily work. Adding notes to tasks and attaching files is also really convenient.
Cons
The interface can feel a little cluttered at times. When working inside a task or subtask, it's not always visually clear where you are within the larger project. More visual structure like nested boxes, flowcharts or similar project mapping would make navigation better. The newer layout improves this somewhat and the board view helps too. Another feature that would be useful is a way to view the full project and access all attachments tied to it in one place.

“timely notifications, difficult navigation”
Pros
One thing Asana does well is send reminders at the right time and I appreciate that it stops nudging you once a task has been overdue for 3 or more days instead of continuing to spam you.
Cons
That said the icons are quite small, moving around tasks feels awkward and tracking down closed tasks is really frustrating unless you already know the exact task name. On top of that the interface just doesn't look very appealing.

“versatile team management platform”
Pros
Asana works really well as a project management platform for teams of any size. The free plan is especially useful for smaller teams that need one place to organize tasks, projects and shared files. On the paid side, it covers a lot for small to mid-sized businesses, whether that's hiring, client management, IT or product rollout. It also integrates fairly well with other apps overall.
Cons
One thing I'd still like is the ability to download or copy the timeline for reports or presentations. More templates would also be helpful although it seems like that area has improved recently. The integrations could use some work too especially when it comes to Gmail.

“fast and responsive task tracking”
Pros
Using it feels incredibly quick. The interface is responsive thoughtfully designed and the subtasks are especially useful. Sharing links is also simple and convenient.
Cons
The thing it's missing is cover images which would make items easier to spot at a glance. That said the search is quick and works really well so it helps make up for that.

“backlog-to-done visibility”
Pros
Instead of spending time on status reporting, I can stay focused on the actual work. With this tool, I just move an item from the backlog to completed and everyone can immediately see it's finished without me having to give an update.
Cons
It has been working very well for what I need. I haven't really used the descriptions or some of the more detailed features though I can understand how those would be helpful for others.

“simple workflow with handy integrations”
Pros
The interface is simple and pleasant to use and the integrations with Gmail and Slack work really well. The mobile app is also very good and recurring tasks are probably my favorite feature. On top of that the notifications are reliable across email, Slack and the mobile app which helps me stay on track.
Cons
The only downside for me is the reporting. The built-in reporting tools don't really meet my needs and reporting is very important for my project. Because of that I had to rely on an extra add-on.

“Feature packed and budget-friendly”
Pros
It is very easy to use and the free plan is a big plus for smaller companies. Even without paying it still includes a surprisingly good set of features for a free tool.
Cons
The downside is that many of the more important features are locked behind the paid plans. That said it still costs less than a number of competing options.

“client-friendly project tracking”
Pros
We use it to keep track of our marketing work with clients and we recently rolled it out for one of our clients as well. They've been very happy with it and really enjoy how simple the functionality is.
Cons
I wouldn't say this tool is better than Jira as it's really built for a different type of user. We still rely on Jira for development-focused projects.

“flexible project tracking for global teams”
Pros
Working with distributed teams across different regions is much more manageable with this tool and the interface is easy to pick up. A few features I've really liked are the Adobe Creative Cloud integration, the option to create and lock custom fields, user provisioning and access management, simple data export into other formats and the ability to view Gantt charts, timelines, dashboards, status updates and metrics directly within the board.
Cons
One downside is that the free version includes very limited functionality. To unlock the more useful features, you have to move up to the Premium or Business plans which can get expensive depending on the size of the company.

“beautiful views and smart shortcuts”
Pros
The keyboard shortcuts are a standout and the interface looks really modern. I also like the variety of views especially the calendar view. On top of that the detailed task breakdown keeps everything well organized and makes it easier to stay on top of work.
Cons
One thing that didn't fully click was team adoption. For some reason my team hasn't really found it user friendly enough to keep using consistently. It may need a stronger onboarding experience that helps teams understand the value faster and makes them more likely to stick with it though that's just how it felt from what I saw.

“simple task tracking win”
Pros
The tool is easy to use and administering it is just as simple. Task management doesn't need any extra steps and everything stays organized within the customer file.
Cons
Because it focuses so much on simplicity, it is a bit limited when it comes to more advanced project management features. That said for the price, it's absolutely worth it.

“Top task planning tools”
Pros
The calendar integration is well thought out and assigning tasks works really well. I also appreciate the automated reporting especially since I can get it through a free third-party tool.
Cons

“task assignment and handy links”
Pros
Assigning work to teammates is really convenient and I appreciate being able to tag posts and organize bigger items with parent tasks and related subtasks. One detail I genuinely enjoy even if it sounds minor, is that links open in a new browser page instead of pulling me away from whatever I'm currently working on.
Cons
This could partly come down to how my company has set it up but the interface feels very cluttered without surfacing the information that matters most. I don't understand why overdue tasks aren't visible on the homepage or why I have to click through multiple places to find the items that should be front and center. It's also hard to locate a clear record of work I've already finished. At my company we're expected to reassign a task to the next reviewer instead of marking it complete so I keep getting notifications for tasks I actually finished days ago, while also losing track of what I recently worked on. That becomes really frustrating when I'm trying to see where my time has gone.

Pros
Its a user friendly system and the interface is simple to understand. It also integrates with a range of other platforms which makes it practical to use across different environments right away.
Cons
