fantastic team organization

Pros

Asana has been excellent for keeping our team's work organized. It saves us a lot of time and that really matters when there's always more to get done. We're able to move through tasks faster and stay on schedule much more consistently. The real time progress tracking is especially valuable for our managers since they can instantly see how things are moving. The design is also very good and visually appealing which feels refreshing after working in Jira, a tool that never looked particularly good to me. Having the mobile app is another big plus and I use it a lot when I'm working from home.

Cons

There are still a few features from Jira that it doesn't offer and I do miss those from time to time although it's definitely not enough to outweigh the benefits. I'd really like more options for setting and filtering by priority level and it would also be helpful to view a calendar that includes every task across all projects in one place. That kind of visibility would save us a lot of time.

deadline tracking and team coordination

Pros

Being able to set deadlines and keep my products and orders organized has been really helpful. It also works very well for team use since I can assign projects to other people without any hassle.

Cons

there is nothing about this product that I dislike. It has impressed me more than almost any other product I've used.

clear intro, lacking depth

Pros

The introduction is clear and straight to the point, without a lot of extra fluff getting in the way of the main content. Also it is pretty simple and not especially flashy but I still like that approach.

Cons

At the same time it didn't seem to measure up to some of the more widely used alternatives. It never really felt as advanced, whether in terms of overall functionality or in how consistently the key features were handled.

beautiful and Feature packed

Pros

The platform looks modern, seems user friendly to work with and comes packed with useful features. It has made managing both my own workload and my team much simpler such as deadlines, projects, priority levels, automations and pretty much everything else feels more organized and easier to handle.

Cons

A few of the most valuable features sit behind the paid plans which I understand from a business standpoint. Still, for a small team, that can make getting started a bit more challenging.

task assignment keeps everything organized

Pros

Being able to assign tasks and upload files without hassle has been the biggest advantage. Since each client task often comes with several working documents, having everything tied to the task helps me stay organized and on top of my work.

Cons

My only complaint is a pretty small one. The home screen focuses on Upcoming Tasks Due which is definitely useful but I'd also like to see a reminder for any overdue tasks there as well.

flexible task views that deliver

Pros

One thing that really works well in Asana is how flexibly you can organize your work. A big project can be laid out on a Board, split into smaller tasks or just kept as a simple running to-do list for the day, depending on what makes the most sense.

Cons

I honestly don't have any real complaints. The free plan is naturally more limited than the paid version but it still covers what I need well enough.

task tracking that delivers

Pros

Keeping work organized in Asana has been really helpful. I can set up tasks, assign them to specific users and keep an eye on timelines and status updates without things getting messy. The integrations with Teams and Salesforce are also a big plus and fit nicely into the way we already work.

Cons

One thing that would make it even better is the ability to assign a single task to multiple users. It is not a major problem but it would definitely be useful.

centralized progress made migration effortless

Pros

Having all our progress in one central place was a huge help. It made the transition to a new association management platform much more manageable.

Cons

I really don't have any big complaints, aside from the free version feeling a bit limited.

organized teamwork and clear task flow

Pros

It's been really helpful for keeping our team organized. The interface is simple to use, the layouts are well designed, the mobile app works really well and the overall workflow seems hassle free. Also it makes it very convenient to keep track of completed tasks.

Cons

We haven't been using it for very long yet but up to this point we honestly haven't run into any complaints. It has already helped us stay more organized and improve productivity.

User friendly interface

Pros

From the very first use it has a modern design and looks really nice. The interface is user friendly, navigation is easy and the experience stays consistently good across different platforms which I really like.

Cons

At times it can feel a little limited when it comes to functionality especially with things like not being able to share across platforms. It also doesn't include enough integrations with other productivity tools yet and I'd definitely like to see more of that added over time.

stays on track beautifully

Pros

Asana does a really good job of keeping everything on track. The to-do list feature is especially helpful because it makes it easier to organize tasks and get things done at the right time.

Cons

The only downside is that some projects can't really be displayed in a way that allows people to comment on them. Adding that in the future would make the platform even more useful.

color coded project bliss

Pros

Creating new projects takes hardly any effort and adding team members is just as easy. The color-coding feature is another thing I really enjoy because it keeps everything visually organized.

Cons

I haven't been able to find anything wrong with the software. I genuinely love everything about it.

excellent free plan for teams

Pros

Having a decent free plan and a mobile app is a huge plus. The platform is simple to use and works really well for team management. It creates a collaborative workspace that makes working together feel more organized and convenient. The task management tools are especially useful making it easy to follow projects and keep track of individual tasks.

Cons

Its functionality feels mostly centered around task management so there is room to expand beyond that. I also think the customer support could be improved.

well-designed and dependable

Pros

This software seems like something that's been thought through carefully from a design perspective. It's modern, very stable and fully functional. The free plan offers real value too which is a big reason I'm now thinking about paying for it since I've been able to use it properly for a long time instead of being limited to some short 7 day trial. It does exactly what I need it to do.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is that the description fields don't follow markdown syntax. Writing in markdown feels pretty natural At this point though I can also see why they may have chosen not to support it that way.

powerful project tracking boost

Pros

Getting my schedule organized and staying on top of projects and deadlines has been much better since I started using it. It's a really powerful tool and if time management is a challenge, this app can make a big difference.

Cons

I haven't run into any major problems to mention. If anything could be improved, it would be the interface since it may feel a bit confusing for first-time users.

excellent team task organization

Pros

One thing I appreciate most is the overall quality of the software. It does a really good job of helping manage work, tasks and projects online especially when collaborating with a team. It also makes it simple to organize both personal responsibilities and team activities so everything stays aligned with business goals, project deadlines and daily tasks.

Cons

Since I started using this software, I honestly haven't run into any real issues with it. If I had to point out the one limitation, it would be that the free version is only available for teams of up to 15 people.

stays on track every month

Pros

Being able to create personal tasks for myself and also assign tasks or subtasks to other people makes a huge difference when I'm working through a larger project or event. I can keep moving once others finish the pieces I'm waiting on and that helps everything stay organized. It's especially useful for teams that aren't always able to meet face to face. We can coordinate across campus, keep communication in one place and stay updated on progress without things getting scattered. I also really appreciate the recurring task option for monthly responsibilities like accounting exports, payroll imports and board reporting. That feature helps me stay on top of routine work and makes sure nothing gets missed.

Cons

One thing I wish worked better is the ability to quickly view all completed tasks alongside the ones that still need to be done in a single place. Having that would make weekly reporting much more helpful since I could clearly show what was finished and what is still coming up. Another frustration is when I'm checking off several tasks at once and the list refreshes and shifts around which sometimes causes me to click the wrong item by mistake. There is an undo option which helps but I'd rather the task list stay in place while it updates.

fantastic for team coordination

Pros

Asana has been a really valuable tool for larger teams managing a high volume of projects. It works well for project-based collaboration and helps set clear cadences and milestones so everyone stays aligned.

Cons

The interface can feel a little overwhelming at times. Without proper onboarding, it's pretty easy for things to become disorganized inside the app.

helpful card view collaboration

Pros

Having a UI that works across all departments has been really useful and the card view for development was especially important for our company. It makes collaboration simple and allows everyone involved in the RACI to stay connected and keep multiple sets of eyes on the same project.

Cons

One thing to watch out for is that as soon as a task is assigned to someone, they can see it Right away so it helps to understand the functionality well before using it.

affordable nonprofit plan and custom fields

Pros

Having a nonprofit discount was a big reason we moved over. Wrike got rid of that pricing so switching made sense for us. It also helps that custom fields are included in the lower-cost plan, whereas with Wrike we would have needed to upgrade to a higher tier to get the same feature.

Cons

The thing that still feels limiting is the lack of nested folders. Since everything has to be set up as a project, they start piling up quickly and there is no good way to organize them by topic. Teams exist but that seems more geared toward sharing access with different groups of people than actually structuring content.
