“agile-friendly time management”

Pros

Using this tool makes it simple to manage both your own time and your team's time in an efficient way. If you work with Agile, it's definitely a platform worth considering.

Cons

It does its job really well overall. The only thing I'd add is a bit more customization in certain areas but it's not a major issue.

Pros

Working with it has been really easy and the free version fits our team perfectly since only about five of us use it at work. Being able to duplicate projects and create recurring tasks saves a lot of time. It makes handling 20+ accounts per analyst much more manageable.

Cons

There have been a few occasions when the platform went offline for a couple of hours and that definitely slowed us down. Even with that happening once in a while, it still feels like a better option than other free tools out there.

Pros

Being able to create tasks, assign dates, set reminders and keep up with follow-ups was the most useful part of the software for me.

Cons

It isn't the most user friendly tool and some people had a harder time learning it than others. It feels fairly complex and could probably be simplified or condensed.

Pros

This product required no training at all which was a big plus. It is very easy to use Right away and I still rely on it today to keep my projects organized. They also offer a free version which makes it easy to try out before deciding.

Cons

Because it runs in the browser, it can feel a little confusing from time to time. That said it seems to get regular updates so I'm sure those issues will continue to be worked on.

Pros

Working with my team in Asana feels really natural because it makes collaboration and communication around each task very simple.

Cons

At first I was getting way too many notifications every day on both my phone and email although there is an option to reduce them to a weekly limit.

A few years back, I used this system and absolutely loved it. It's incredibly simple to jump right in, assign tasks, share updates with team members and plan out work without much setup.

Cons

It's an excellent tool for handling tasks, projects and related work but like any platform, it's only as useful as the information put into it. Everyone on the team needs to keep it updated, add details and make edits for it to work the way it should.

Pros

Running a team in the music industry can get pretty complicated and this has made it much simpler to track my team's work and report on data. The project tracking feature has been especially useful for keeping everything organized.

Cons

The interface looks really nice but I do think it could be refined a little more to make it quicker to navigate and use.

Pros

Being able to color-code entries is the part I like most and it makes sharing and viewing them with team members very easy.

Cons

The biggest limitation is that I'm not able to copy and paste recurring entries and there's no option to schedule them to repeat automatically.

Rolling this out across a team has been very easy. With so many other tools out there, this one has easily been the fastest to set up and get everyone using.

Once you start building things out more, it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming or confusing.

One thing that works really well with Asana is the clean interface. It lets you organize a lot of projects and tasks into separate sections without everything feeling messy or overwhelming. Having a personal task dashboard is also a really nice touch.

Cons

Compared with something like Trello, getting started takes a bit longer. Trello seems more stripped down and easy, with fewer features to navigate and that simplicity is really part of its appeal.

Asana is a very user friendly tool for team collaboration and workflow management and the free plan has been a really nice fit for our small team.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve at the beginning since it can feel confusing At first and it's also not the best option for projects that involve graphics.

Pros

One thing I really liked is that they offer a truly free plan, not just a limited free trial which is a big plus for small businesses. The integrations are also very strong as it integrates with Slack, Salesforce, Outlook and a long list of other tools. On top of that it comes loaded with features and add-ons for project management, including Kanban boards, Gantt charts, dependency tracking, time tracking and reporting.

Cons

That said it felt too complicated for what I needed. Projects could become overly complex and a bit confusing and I honestly didn't need that many features. There were times when I just wanted a easy way to manage a project and it wasn't really the best fit for that. Another limitation was that tasks could only be assigned to one person, at least when I used it and having the option to assign them to multiple people would have been much more useful.

Asana helps our team stay on top of everyone's tasks and gives us a clear view of how work is progressing. Being able to break tasks down into subtasks is especially useful because it adds more accountability and makes the whole process more transparent.

Cons

The email integrations still have room for improvement and the pricing feels a bit expensive.

Keeping lists structured in it works really well as it seems like a to-do list tool with a lot more power behind it. Being able to break lists into sections is also very useful and helps keep everything organized.

Cons

At the same time it felt a bit limited in terms of functionality and I eventually moved to another platform that let me attach more items and details to each list entry.

Pros

It does a really good job of organizing projects and managing teams, no matter how large or complex the work gets. You can break projects down in just about any way that makes sense which gives a lot of flexibility. The notifications and task-tracking options are also very helpful. They keep everyone on schedule without making the process feel overly controlling. Team members still have enough freedom to handle their work independently, while managers and stakeholders stay updated on progress.

Cons

Getting started with it takes a little time because it is not as user friendly as some simpler platforms. There is definitely a learning curve but the added functionality makes that tradeoff worth it. Even then, it is not overly difficult to learn and with a bit of training, most team members can use it effectively.

Visually, Asana is attractive and it clearly has a strong reputation. The part I appreciated most was honestly the positive impression I had of it before I started using it. That probably sounds like a backhanded compliment but I don't mean it that way. In practice though, there just wasn't much about the product itself that I genuinely connected with.

Cons

After spending a few weeks with it, the overall experience left me feeling mostly indifferent and at times even a little put off. Writing that out sounds harsher than I intend but it's the most accurate way to describe it. I can't point to anything specifically broken or badly designed and I'm fully aware that plenty of people and teams probably get a lot of value from it. It likely is an excellent tool for them. For some reason, it just never clicked for me, to the point where I found myself avoiding opening it. That wasn't because I didn't want to work on the projects I was managing either quite the opposite. Once I moved to a competing app that fit my style better, the whole process felt much better.

Pros

Having everything organized in one platform has been really useful for our team. We can assign tasks to different people across the organization, keep departments and projects together in one place and set deadlines for ourselves as well as for others.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating is that you can't add something to multiple projects at once. Having to stop and click the + sign on the right every time takes extra time. It would be much better if we could use tab or commas to add items to more than one project.

The charts and color coded tabs make it simple to stay on top of my daily task lists and figure out what needs attention first. Everything seems well organized and both the web and mobile versions are pretty easy to move around in.

Cons

The features and overall look are really appealing but I do wish it were free or at least came with a longer trial period.

Having one place where I can pour in what feels like a million ideas and tasks makes a huge difference. The platform is flexible and it does a really good job of keeping everything organized.

I genuinely love using the software. Every now and then the interface gets a little glitchy but it's not enough to be a real problem.

One thing that really works well about it is how organized it keeps the whole team and it lets us track every single task we need to handle. I also enjoy the smaller details that make it nicer to use day after day. The little celebration animations, the snowfall in the background or even bats flying around with different themes add a bit of personality. Those small touches make a difference especially since I spend so much time looking at it throughout the day.

Cons

At times it can feel like we end up with unnecessary tasks or just one never-ending list that keeps growing. That might come down to how we're setting things up on our side though. It also seems like some useful features aren't promoted very well and we'd probably get more value out of the platform if we knew about them and used them more.
