Excellent client management with robust remote access

Pros

The best thing about Clicktime is that it allows remote access and my team can enter their time and expenses from wherever they are using the app or website. All the client invoices and payroll are easily manageable, thanks to amazing integration with Quickbooks and timely reminders about deadlines.

Cons

There are plenty of quality features but many of these are not necessary for all my employees. For example, cost tracking. The problem is that it’s an all-or-nothing subscription so we are forced to pay for all the features for everyone. It will be great if the vendor can introduce custom pricing plans, where we can choose only the features we need.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use in all areas. The reporting feature is very impressive as it allows me to showcase important information during our management meetings for project billing and the company's profit and loss.

Cons

During the trial, we experienced a few issues due to incorrect setup and had to clear the cache multiple times to update client billing/budgets. However apart from that, the setup went smoothly during the trial and was great.

Basic functionality, nothing to write home about

Pros

I like the straightforward process and the fact that software updates are occasional, avoiding the need to relearn how to use it.

Cons

I wish there were more visual cues to prevent getting lost among the numerous rows of time entries. It would be helpful if it were more apparent how to enter time in one view and submit it in another. Additionally, I would like the option to hide weekends (when I don't work) or display them in a different color. Having some favorite settings to avoid adding my main categories each pay period would be great. It would also be cool if my salary was integrated so I could track how much I spend on a specific client.

Review on ClickTime

Pros

This application is user-friendly and easy to use. Being an administrator is not difficult either, thanks to ClickTime's fantastic support team. They take the time to listen and provide assistance to the best of their ability. I've found the application to be highly intuitive and straightforward. Every time I reach out for help or have a question, the support team is professional, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. We primarily chose this product because of its integration with Quickbooks, which functions seamlessly.

Cons

An upgrade is needed as it can be quite expensive and time-consuming. One disadvantage is the requirement to select a client before making an assignment. It might be challenging to create custom reports. Copying/pasting/adding repeated tasks is not possible. Each entry must be filled out individually.

Excellent tool to keep track of hours with a great mobile app

Pros

The mobile app is undoubtedly the best feature. It allows you to easily and swiftly track your time with clients and the data syncs instantly with ClickTime servers. Once synced, you can access a wealth of advanced features and send invoices on the ClickTime website. Besides the mobile app, the ClickTime website is incredibly robust, offering all the features necessary for time tracking and invoicing management.

Cons

Navigating the ClickTime website can be a bit difficult due to the multitude of options for managing clients, reports and invoices. The layout of the site itself doesn't help simplify things which gives an overwhelming experience.

Great Time Keeping Software

The software fulfills all our firm's needs. It serves as our primary time tracking software and is also used for payroll processing. The reporting feature allows us to utilize it for project management as well. It's an excellent tool at an affordable price compared to other overly complex systems.

Cons

The time entry portal limits a day to 24 hours. Our firm utilizes tasks beyond man-hours, such as specialized computer time. It would be beneficial if my employees could log more than 24 hours in a day. For example, 13 man-hours and 12 specialized computer hours.

Satisfied Longtime ClickTime User

Pros

This application collects a vast amount of information while remaining simple for users to fill out. Managers have access to a variety of reports that allow them to view data by task, person, project, etc. The ability to export these reports and lists of projects or users into different formats such as HTML, PDF, or Excel is effortless. The Advanced Tools feature provides admins with ease in altering past data for corrections, such as adjusting incorrect tasks, hours, or projects.

Cons

Creating custom reports can become challenging. Managers have the ease and speed to select the most suitable preexisting report for their needs. However, it would be beneficial to have clearer and faster previews. I wish there was a user-friendly built-in feature to track projects on a budget-to-actual basis. Currently, we're exploring the Project Insights Tool, which meets many of our requirements but lacks certain features we need to make it truly useful.

The only thing i wish to have is that I would like a copy-paste feature for a days timesheet. Pulling reports is a breeze, with a wide variety of options available. It would be beneficial if companies could select specific reports they require and hide the ones they don't use.

Cons

For individuals who only need to input their hours, it should be easier to log in and add their time on a daily basis. How can we reduce the time it takes for users to input their hours? The website design feels outdated; updating the user experience through design and layout would be beneficial. Adding a one-click option to access the timecard directly would be helpful. Additionally, improving the process of revising a rejected timecard would be appreciated. The search function within the timecard should be more intuitive (e.g., recognizing "P&G" when written without spaces).

Clicktime is packed with features and designed specifically for Nonprofits. It caters to Fund Sources, Programs, and tasks, aligning with accounting standards and software. Unlike other products that require workarounds, Clicktime streamlines the handling of Fund Sources and Programs. This tailored approach is a major advantage. Besides payroll, it also offers robust expense reporting. Both payroll and expense entry were a breeze for our staff. The approval routing features and accurate reporting have greatly enhanced management effectiveness, enabling us to complete grant reimbursement and performance reports effortlessly.

Cons

Clicktime lacks an interface to integrate with payroll and/or accounting software. Users don't have the option to personalize their pages with images or backgrounds.

Pros

Previously, my company relied on Excel Sheets for payroll submissions. ClickTime has streamlined the process, providing a more user-friendly and reliable alternative. I appreciate the ability to review and edit my own submissions as well as those of my staff in my supervisory role. Having expense sheets and weekly time sheets in one place is convenient. Uploading receipts for expense sheets is effortless. One of the standout features is that ClickTime worked with my company to customize options for therapy/educational purposes.

Cons

Occasionally, ClickTime deletes the administration notes which are key for our billing and customer service purposes. The search function within the service options is not user-friendly either. As a supervisor I would prefer the ability to edit timesheets without having to click on each day, as it takes a long time to load.

ClickTime Applicability for a Small Nonprofit

Pros

ClickTime offers a practical and streamlined solution for managing staff and program budgets. The Reports feature, in particular, is extremely valuable for tracking and reporting on grants. We can generate reports for the entire grant project or break it down into specific jobs and projects, both in terms of staff time and associated expenses. The range of report options is extensive, and the system is easy to navigate. Recently, our organization upgraded and added the Insights feature to our ClickTime account. This addition provides more in-depth budget tracking and a convenient overview of all grants from a single screen in real time. It not only allows for more comprehensive analysis of specific budgets over the duration of a grant but also saves time by enabling quick financial check-ins between more detailed reports.

Cons

Regarding the Insights feature, the budget summaries and analysis don't include any associated expenses, so a separate report needs to be generated for a complete budget picture. While it adds an extra step, it's not a significant issue in relation to ClickTime's overall functionality. It presents a small opportunity for ClickTime to further improve this feature.

Cons

There are a few features I'd like to have: 1. The ability to search through comments. 2. The option to move entries to a different client/work order without having to recreate them. 3. Grouping entries in customized categories would be helpful, such as "Client of type A" or "Client of type B." 4. Having the ability to export to XML or a similar format. 5. The mobile app is quite complex, and I've never been able to use it. Additionally, there are no options to easily repeat dropdown boxes week after week.
