Coming from using both Asana and ClickUp, ClickUp feels a lot more cost-effective for what you get. The interface is quite similar to Asana but it packs in more value. It makes it simple to stay on top of every project, add comments to tasks, keep files organized and one of the best features is being able to embed Google Docs right inside a project.

Cons

There honestly is not much I dislike about it. The only real limitation is that the built-in time tracking is only available on a paid plan but Clockify integrates well so that works really well as an alternative.

Pros

Being free to use is a huge plus and the integrations work well. The interface is decent and enjoyable to navigate and it includes features you really do not come across in many other tools.

The mobile version still feels limited especially when it comes to functionality and initial setup.

After the initial learning curve this really becomes an all-in-one workspace. It's highly customizable and the available templates help a lot when getting started. It works very well for planning and collaborating with teams. Creating tasks and connecting them to each other is easy and you can add deadlines, tags and pretty much anything else you need. The different views like list, board, Gantt and calendar, make it much easier to understand the bigger picture. On top of that the platform is updated regularly which is a big plus.

A few very useful features are locked behind the paid plans. Also, the setup can feel a bit overwhelming at first because there are so many options and features to go through which can be confusing in the beginning.

It has been a fantastic productivity and project management platform for handling projects and tasks in a really simple manner.

Getting started with it can feel a little overwhelming because of how much it offers but once you spend some time with it, it becomes something you really enjoy using.

ClickUp works really well for managing all kinds of projects and collaborating with remote teams is very easy. The automation features are a huge plus too since they free up time and let you focus on other tasks.

There is definitely a bit of a learning curve at the beginning before everything clicks and you can fully understand how to use all of its features.

Its interface works well as a Kanban board, much like tools such as Jira which makes switching over feel a lot more hassle free.

The visual layout makes it appealing to work in and there's a good range of customization available, even with the free plan. It also comes with a variety of templates which helps when you're getting started.

Getting everything set up properly feels a bit fiddly and it takes some time to get comfortable with how it works. Honestly, I probably wouldn't use it again without starting from a template. Even then, the ones I found did not really match my type of work so I still ended up customizing them quite a bit.

It's been a really useful tool for keeping conversations organized among team members around the different needs and projects across the company.

ClickUp gives me a really simple way to stay on top of all kinds of tasks, whether they are for personal use or for my business. It helps me keep track of the projects I am handling for customers and makes it much easier to make sure everything gets finished on time.

At this point I honestly have not come across anything negative to say about the software.

Task and project visualization is one of the best parts and everyone on my team can jump in to edit, view and add new tasks without any trouble.

It's packed with features which makes it feel pretty complex and that usually makes the learning curve harder for new people on my team. The guest editor mode also has poor project organization and the project bookmark feature never seems to work properly.

ClickUp comes with a lot of powerful tools that other platforms usually lock behind paid plans like Gantt Charts, Whiteboards and the simple way Docs connect with Tasks.

One downside is that it can be slow to load. It feels like the platform may be trying to roll out too many features at once and that seems to be affecting overall performance.

The bi-directional sync with Google Calendar has been excellent and makes keeping everything aligned much more convenient.

Out of the similar tools I have tried, this is the one I'd choose every time. It's simpler to set up, easier to use and quicker to get running than the others and the pricing is about the same or even a bit lower.

The number of notifications can be a bit much for what I need. I know the notification settings can be adjusted but changing them feels tedious and it's not always clear which option controls which alert.
