everything centralized in one spot

Pros

One of the best parts is how flexible it is. You can tailor it to match your workflow and keep everything in a single place instead of juggling multiple tools.

Cons

At the beginning it can feel a bit overwhelming because the interface includes so many features. It can also be a little slow or occasionally buggy especially when working in larger workspaces.

Served busy teams well

Pros

Among the project management tools I have worked with this is one of the most adaptable. It lets us create systems that fit the way our team actually operates instead of pushing us into a fixed setup. We use it for multiple clients as well as internal processes and being able to tailor views, statuses and task structure has been a major advantage. It works particularly well for fast-paced teams that need visibility into lots of moving parts since everything from big-picture planning to everyday execution can live in one place. Once it's configured properly, it really becomes a central operational hub.

Cons

There are two noticeable downsides. The first is the lack of subfolders which starts to feel limiting once your client or project setups become more complex. It often forces you to come up with workarounds for organization that aren't always very user friendly. The second is stability after major updates. Whenever a big release comes out, there tend to be bugs that can interrupt day to day work. If your team depends on it as a core system even minor issues can end up slowing everyone down.

very powerful tool

Pros

It is flexible enough to fit different teams without forcing everyone into one complicated way of working. The task management and collaboration tools are reliable and the automations really do save time once they are set up properly.

Cons

At the beginning the amount of options can feel like a lot to take in. It also slows down from time to time in larger workspaces and the mobile app still seems a bit outdated in places.

Effective tool

Pros

Across the company it helps me keep workflows organized and running efficiently. It also gives real time task analytics which supports better development decisions. The setup was simple and customizing it to match our business needs was just as manageable.

Cons

It has been an excellent tool overall and its performance has helped boost productivity across most departments. The few issues I ran into were handled quickly by the customer support team.

Operations remained organized

Pros

Our Operations team stays on track and organized with it. Any task that comes up goes straight into ClickUp, whether it's a one-off item or something that needs to repeat regularly.

Cons

At times it almost seems too powerful haha. There are so many ways to manage tasks that it can be a little overwhelming sometimes but honestly that's probably a positive overall.

crowded layout

Pros

ClickUp can be adapted to just about any workflow and that flexibility is both its biggest strength and part of the challenge. Having task management, docs, goals and a calendar all in one platform sounds excellent in theory. The level of customization is honestly impressive and the pricing is reasonable for everything that's included.

Cons

There are so many features that they sometimes seem to compete with one another. The interface feels crowded and getting new team members fully onboarded takes more time than it really should.

annoying plan updates

Pros

The platform is packed with functionality so it handles a wide range of tasks in one place. You can track time, build workflows, store documents, set goals and monitor progress without needing separate tools.

Cons

A big downside is that they can change your plan or cut back features without giving any notice and you're basically left to deal with those account changes on your own.

overall cluttered feel

Pros

ClickUp brings a lot into one place for task management, docs and team collaboration. It's highly customizable and the automation options along with the visibility it gives teams across work are really strong.

Cons

Getting comfortable with it takes time because the learning curve is pretty steep and the interface can feel cluttered at times. It can also become overwhelming, with occasional lag and slower performance when working on larger projects.

Packed with useful tracking features

Pros

It is very comprehensive and gives me a lot of tools for tracking things. I also like being able to attach documents and use its internal guidance.

Cons

To me it looks far too busy and puts too much in front of you all at once. It would be better if it were more focused and if I could change one thing, it would definitely be the UI/UX.

all in one control for projects

Pros

Having everything centralized was the biggest advantage for me. It helped keep tasks, projects, deadlines and team communication in one place instead of jumping back and forth between multiple tools. The customization was also a big plus especially being able to arrange views, statuses and workflows so they matched the way the team actually operates.

Cons

At times the platform can feel a bit overwhelming especially when someone is new to it. With so many features and settings available, there's definitely a learning curve. Sometimes even basic task management felt more complicated than necessary and the interface could come across as a little cluttered.

real time visibility across all teams

Pros

Across our company this tool has been really valuable because it keeps everyone involved in a project informed and updated in real time.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about. The way we use the platform is pretty fun and we have not run into any issues or concerns so far.

Improved collaboration well

Pros

ClickUp is a very powerful platform for project management and team collaboration. It integrates well with whichever calendar you use and that really helps keep everyone accountable when working together.

Cons

Things can slow down quite a bit when several people are working in the same area from different computers and the auto-refresh could be better. The AI features also never really worked for me, partly because I didn't fully build out ClickUp since I didn't feel the need to.

allowed full customization

Pros

Running my small business has been much easier with this platform. It's incredibly customizable and replaces several separate tools which makes it a really worthwhile investment.

Cons

No complaints at this point. The Kanban boards, time tracking and task automation really help organize our workflows and make our small team more efficient.

Flexible workflows served every team

Pros

One of the best parts of the platform is how flexible it is. You can customize workflows, views and task structures in a way that fits different operational needs so it works well across a variety of team setups.

Cons

A downside is the limited visibility into backups and the change history or audit trail. That makes it harder to track edits and maintain data accountability especially when dealing with important tasks and records.

worked amazingly for us

Pros

It is pretty easy to use. I can assign tasks to my team without any hassle and the back-and-forth commenting keeps everyone aligned and on the same page.

Cons

One thing I'd like to see is built-in integrations so I wouldn't have to rely on Zapier to connect it with other CRM platforms.

Fast setup with decent training

Pros

Getting ClickUp up and running for our team of ten happened really quickly. The trainer they provided was incredibly persistent which helped make sure everyone eventually got comfortable using it. Even the Slack integration turned out to be much less painful than I expected.

Cons

At times the whole screen freezes when I am dragging cards around and it's frustrating enough to make me want to toss my mouse. I also wish the proofing add-on supported frame-by-frame review because in its current form it just isn't detailed enough for our video team. On top of that there are way too many menus to dig through and search.

good for team tracking

Pros

Across a team this has been an amazing project management tool. It's especially useful for connecting related tasks and activities and assigning clear owners so everyone knows what they're responsible for.

Cons

Getting the most value from it does require ongoing effort to keep everything updated and maintained. At times the UI feels like it works against me a bit when I am trying to stay on top of projects.

Collaboration and automation provided boost

Pros

I love how it lets teams collaborate on projects and the automation features take a lot of the manual effort out of the process.

Cons

There's definitely a bit of a learning curve with the software but thankfully there are plenty of articles and how-to guides that help you get up to speed.

Powerful features with adaptable views

Pros

Something that really stands out is how many flexible ways it gives you to visualize your work. The AI features are used really well and can produce impressive results without needing any coding knowledge. On top of that the free version includes enough functionality to cover what most users are likely to need.

Cons

Because the feature set is so extensive, getting started can feel a bit overwhelming for new users. The app can also become fairly sluggish on certain projects which affects the experience. And if the standard free plan doesn't cover everything, the extra add-ons can get pretty expensive.

Customization offered at fair price

Pros

The thing that works really well is how much you can customize across the platform and the pricing is affordable for small businesses.

Cons

On the downside it comes with so many features that it can feel overwhelming at times and the interface is a bit difficult to understand.
