Teamwork automation is a win

Pros

Collaboration across teams is amazing and the process automation is a huge help. Whenever a new event contract gets signed, the marketing design tasks are automatically assigned which keeps everything moving without extra manual work.

Cons

The tradeoff is that the platform becomes less simple because of how much customization it offers and the calendar view can start to feel overwhelming and lag a bit when managing several event schedules at the same time.

Small teams tracked tasks well

Pros

ClickUp worked really well for task tracking in our office. We were using the free version and it fit a small team nicely.

Cons

Once our team started growing, it didn't feel advanced enough to handle the more complex task management and systems we needed to keep track of.

reliable product

Pros

Working with this software alongside a third-party vendor helped us keep projects and workflows organized. It was simple to navigate and handled exactly what we needed it to do.

Cons

At times it generated too many emails and we kept running into recurring issues when trying to close out projects each month. Still, looking at the bigger picture, there really were very few major problems, if any.

easy to use tool

Pros

Having everything for tasks, projects and deadlines in one place makes staying organized so much easier. It's very flexible, easy to work with and helps my team collaborate in a simple and efficient way.

Cons

The number of features can feel a little overwhelming and the interface takes some time to learn. Once it starts to click though it becomes an incredibly powerful and useful tool.

work the best for us

Pros

Across both tiny team projects and my own solo work, it has done a really good job adapting to different needs. Whether it's a company wide effort or something I am managing alone, it offers the tools needed to keep work organized. I also value the automation features even though there were times I felt boxed in when the specific automation I wanted wasn't possible. I tend to prefer more of a sandbox-style setup where I can fully customize how automations work.

Cons

Its pricing tiers are unnecessarily confusing. Even as a solo user or part of a small team, there were features that would have been genuinely useful but were locked behind much more expensive plans. Paying significantly more per user just to access one or two features didn't feel reasonable for our situation. The tier structure seems to assume feature needs increase neatly with company size and that just isn't always the case. Some tools are valuable no matter how big or small the team is. For instance conditional logic on forms is only available in the Enterprise plan and you cannot even view that pricing without requesting a custom demo. That really doesn't make much sense. To be fair, I don't know how much more it costs than Business which was $12 per user per month when I wrote this but those features still feel like they shouldn't be restricted so heavily. Overall the billing model comes across like it's pushing every type of user toward Enterprise which is pretty frustrating. On top of that I ran into recurring glitches when using more advanced automations. It seemed like the system, possibly the caching, struggled to process automations in real time and often needed extra time before showing the correct results. It wasn't constant so it wasn't a dealbreaker but it happened often enough that I sometimes had to abandon automations entirely. One more thing, if you're working solo or with a very small team, the platform can feel overwhelming at first because of how many features are packed in. It helps that a lot of those can be toggled on or off by workspace but if you don't already know where to do that, the out of the box experience can feel like a lot.

Meets our needs

Pros

In our company each team works a bit differently and it has been flexible enough to adapt to all of those needs. It's easy to use while still offering a high level of customization. The visual layout is also a big plus and the automation options save us a lot of time on recurring work.

Cons

User experience feels a bit overloaded. Moving between views can get confusing especially when a page contains a large number of items. Managing long icon lists can also be frustrating and when you set up many different options, the platform doesn't do much to help handle duplicates at scale.

Help us stay organized

Pros

Project collaboration has been a huge win for my team. This platform keeps our work organized and gives us one place to track deliverables, timelines, setbacks and a lot more. It has honestly been a lifesaver for us and we fully plan to keep using it going forward.

Cons

There really wasn't anything specific we disliked. it's been an excellent tool for us. Before we started using it our workflow struggled because we didn't have a central place to store information and collaborate as a team.

customization remained flexible

Pros

It is fairly easy to use and the pricing seems fair for what we get. There are plenty of customization options to match the way you want to organize tasks and projects including features like nested tasks which makes it really adaptable.

Cons

At times the desktop app can run a bit slowly although it usually isn't noticeable enough to be a major issue. When that happens, the browser version is a good alternative.

all in one workspace proved effective

Pros

I like having everything in one platform as it really helps with project work and team collaboration. It covers task management, process automation and collaboration tools all in one place and the level of customization is a big advantage.

Cons

There's definitely a steep learning curve and getting everything set up can feel pretty complex at first. It can also be a bit laggy in some situations and for larger organizations, the customization options may still not be enough.

Workspace gave a good boost

Pros

Having docs, tasks and chat all in one place has been a big plus. The AI saves me a lot of time with summaries and the custom views make it possible to set things up exactly the way I prefer to work.

Cons

Well keep in mind that there's definitely a learning curve at the beginning. The app can feel a little slow on larger projects and the mobile version still doesn't measure up to the desktop experience.

It's a powerhouse

Pros

The thing I like is having everything in one place and this is what makes it stand out to me. It's incredibly comprehensive and really doesn't get enough recognition for just how many tools it brings together under one roof.

Cons

The downside isn't really the software itself but getting everyone at my company on board. Since I have not been able to convince the whole team to use it, I still end up juggling Notion, Google Sheets, Linear and Slack alongside it.

great value for price

Pros

ClickUp has been an absolute favorite of mine. The flexibility, customization and countless ways you can tailor it to fit your exact needs make it an obvious choice. For such a small cost, the amount of value you get from it goes far beyond what similar tools usually offer.

Cons

Even though it's very user friendly and simple to adjust, there can still be a bit of a learning curve for people who aren't as comfortable with technology.

Task planning served teams excellently

Pros

At work we rely on this software to keep our team tasks organized. It lets me set up a calendar with everything we need to get done which makes collaboration across multiple projects much better and helps automate part of our workflow. The free version has been more than enough for our needs so we have not had to spend anything. I have not needed to contact customer support yet. Overall it's a decent solution for our team and it's simple to use.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is a cleaner, more user friendly interface. At times I have to look more than once to find exactly what I need.

There is room for improvement

Pros

One thing that works really well in ClickUp is how many ways you can organize and format things. Whether something makes more sense as a folder or just a list, you have options and the structure can still work either way.

Cons

That same flexibility can also be the downside. There are so many ways to set things up that it's pretty easy to get lost and build something in a way that doesn't work well later. The templates also feel underdeveloped. On top of that some features are there but the UX is really poor especially the mind map and the whiteboard feature which are very difficult to use.

decent workspace

Pros

Right away the fast and responsive interface stood out to me and I have not run into any glitches at all. It looks reliable and appealing while still offering a lot of features.

Cons

There's not much to complain about though I'd still like to see a few more integrations especially with Insider and Magento since we rely on them for our ecommerce and marketing work.

Booking calendar kept us organized

Pros

The calendar has become a key part of how we plan bookings around maintenance work. It helps us avoid scheduling the same property twice while repairs are happening and that's extremely important for our operation.

Cons

The only downside is that there are so many features that it can be confusing for my part-time staff, who really just need simple rosters. On top of that customer support hasn't been very responsive when syncing issues come up.

Client project visibility stayed flexible

Pros

Running a software development agency means juggling projects for multiple clients and the flexibility here has been one of the biggest advantages for me. I can manage different client projects in one place and let clients check the project status without having to pay extra for separate access. The customizable views are also really useful because they let me tailor how each client sees their work.

Cons

Sprint management still doesn't feel as strong as what tools like Linear offer. On top of that it seems to be behind when it comes to newer AI trends especially things like MCP and agents, where competitors such as Linear appear to be moving faster.

improves productivity

Pros

With how busy everything gets, time matters a lot and this has been a real game changer at the office. It's a one-stop tool that keeps everything in one place, the reminders are genuinely helpful and I especially enjoy the checklists and how quickly I can see progress at a glance.

Cons

At this point I honestly don't have any drawbacks to mention. If anything, I am just disappointed I didn't come across it much sooner.

Useful tool

Pros

Having docs, tasks and whiteboards all in one place has been really useful. I can keep my model documentation alongside my tasks instead of jumping between tools. The notepad is also a nice touch for quickly writing down thoughts while I am coding.

Cons

The downside is that it can be pretty buggy. Pages often take a while to load and the mobile app crashes at times. There are also a lot of features I never use which makes the interface feel crowded and busy.

Fits our team

Pros

The app's modular setup was a big plus for me because I could tailor it to fit exactly how I work. I juggle several projects across different responsibilities so having a virtual command center that brings together timelines, tasks and protocols in one place has been really valuable.

Cons

It does take some time to learn although that comes with how flexible and customizable it is. The interface can also feel a little crowded visually at times.
