Pros

It gives a lot for the price and that's one of the biggest reasons I enjoy using it. It's highly customizable and even the free plan includes nearly everything you could realistically need. When it comes to project management, it covers just about every feature you'd want.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve because it comes with so many features to explore. That said the upside is that the platform is fully customizable so you can set it up in a way that fits your team's specific workflow and needs.

ClickUp gives us the flexibility to build custom workflows and views so the whole experience feels much more tailored to the way we actually work. Its detailed reporting and analytics also give the team valuable visibility into what has already been completed and who the top performers are making it easier to make decisions based on real data.

Cons

The mobile app can be less efficient at times compared with the desktop version although tasks can still be handled without much trouble thanks to the range of functions available in the app.

Right away the clean and user friendly interface makes this tool enjoyable to work in. It's very simple to scan tasks by priority, status and feature type all at once which helps a lot with staying organized. The design also looks modern so using it actually is rewarding. Even with multiple sprints happening at my company, it's still easy to look back and identify tasks that were completed in the past.

Cons

One downside is that updates happen pretty often and from time to time the interface gets worse temporarily. Lately, the filter row suddenly started taking up too much space which makes it harder to see several tasks at the same time.

The automation is what really sells it for me. It lets you make almost any project workflow run well without needing to create a custom solution from scratch.

One issue was that some of the employees didn't speak English and since the Spanish version wasn't available until recently, that led to a lot of mistakes.

Between the Gantt charts, dependencies, timelines, alerts, step reminders and reusable templates from one episode to the next, it covers everything I need for online lesson production. It really handles the workflow the way I want it to and compared with it, everything else feels like just a standalone spreadsheet.

Cons

Getting started as a new user can be genuinely overwhelming and it really doesn't need to feel that way. Its University helps guide people through it fairly well although it was still incomplete when I first started using the platform. Be ready to spend some time learning its full power and flexibility and definitely make use of the social media user communities because they're incredibly helpful. My recommendation would be an onboarding experience that begins with a simpler, more basic interface and gradually adds complexity as users get more comfortable and start exploring new options. Right now, it feels backward because you see everything upfront and then have to trim away what you don't need.

Compared with when I first used it back in 2019, it has become much more feature-rich. It's clearly improved a lot and the development team seems to have paid close attention to user feedback. The mind-mapping tool is especially clever and the way agile marketing sprints can be set up is very well thought out.

Cons

Some parts of the functionality aren't immediately obvious in terms of where to find them. The platform does a good job of looking clean and organized but that seems to come at a bit of a UI/UX tradeoff. When we were trying to locate It University, the onboarding training guide, it was tucked away in a submenu that was really difficult to spot. Small things like that could definitely be better.

There's a lot to take in at first and everything takes some time but it becomes really valuable once the information is shared in a way that's easily accessible to everyone.
