“Task updates are genuinely very helpful”

Pros

Keeping track of tasks in this app has been pretty easy and I get updates on progress right away which is really useful.

Cons

A few pages and what they're supposed to do weren't completely clear to me. At times the layout feels a bit confusing.

Pros

Task creation is very quick and managing them is easy especially when making bulk changes. It works really well for sales and commercial teams on the management side.

Cons

Searches can be slow and activity updates also take time to refresh. It feels less suitable for software development, while being much better aligned with commercial use.

Pros

Working with a remote team feels really convenient in ClickUp. It makes collaboration simple, updates are quick to handle and having all the records in one place is very helpful.

Cons

At times editing information can be a bit tricky and navigating around with the mouse doesn't always feel very comfortable.

“A flexible all in one workspace solution”

Pros

One thing I really like about it is how much it packs into one platform. It covers a wide range of needs you'd expect from a project management tool and the customization options are a big plus. It's also fairly simple to work with. I wouldn't call it the most user friendly tool out there but it still feels easier to use than several other platforms I have tried.

Cons

Because it can do so much, it can also feel a bit overwhelming. Even after using it for around five months, I still had the sense that I wasn't taking full advantage of everything it offers. I have also run into some lag at times although I am not completely sure whether that's due to the software itself or my MacBook Air M1 while running design applications.

The functionality is amazing and the simplicity makes it pleasant to use. It's really helpful for organizing work, splitting tasks across the team and I also rely on it for taking quick notes.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is an option to choose my native language.

Pros

Being able to connect my email and send messages from the same history is really useful. It gives me a much clearer record of everything that has been shared with the client and that saves a lot of time.

Cons

The thing that's missing is being able to see my client's reply inside the same tool. I can view the history of the emails I have sent but not their response so I still have to open my email app to check it. Also, when entering a contact's country code, the system doesn't recognize it automatically so you have to delete the code and manually choose the country flag.

The ability to keep my day to day organized, both in work tasks and personal ones, makes a big difference.

Cons

Its time tracking feature sometimes fails when I have more than one window open. Like it does not start or stop correctly in any of them and ends up continuing to count for too long.

Pros

Working together on individual tasks is where this platform really shines and the dashboard builder is especially valuable. It makes it possible to group similar tasks and get high-level summaries across folders which helps a lot with tracking work and staying aligned.

Cons

I noticed that its usefulness really depends on how much effort you put into setting it up. Creating a structure that fits certain roles can be challenging and in the nonprofit world, where people are already stretched thin, there often isn't enough internal capacity to build a system that works well across every team and department.
