simplifies task assignment

Pros

Assigning tasks to different clients is very easy which I really liked. Also it made time tracking simple and helped keep everyone's tasks clearly organized so it was always easy to see who was responsible for what.

Cons

I didn't enjoy the description section inside each task. Formatting text and links there was tricky and it usually took a few attempts before everything looked right.

helpful AI features

Pros

Right from the start the interface look user friendly and simple to work with without needing much setup or training. The hierarchical structure is clear and easy to follow and the terminology actually makes sense so getting comfortable with the platform doesn't take long. The AI Brain feature adds a lot to the experience as well especially by generating content templates that help you get started faster. ClickUp University also turned out to be genuinely useful and finishing both the Novice and Expert certificates in a single day gave me the knowledge I needed to begin using the platform confidently.

Cons

At this point I really have not come across anything I dislike. Even as someone who has only been on it for about three months, my experience has been extremely positive overall.

integrations worked well

Pros

It's been a really amazing platform for working across different projects with both internal teams and external users. The interface is simple to navigate and the integrations are pretty easy to integrate which makes collaboration much more efficient.

Cons

There really aren't many downsides to it. The only thing I have noticed is that the platform can get overcomplicated pretty quickly but when everyone sticks to the same process, it works very well.

Feature rich but performance is slow

Pros

An amazing concept overall with lots of features and a flexible system that can cover a wide range of business scenarios. It can even support some ERP-style use cases which makes it a strong companion tool or for service-based businesses almost an ERP alternative if you're willing to put in a bit of custom development. That's obviously not its main purpose but it does create strong links between tasks, projects and other entities. The AI still needs work though it's already occasionally quite useful.

Cons

Performance is noticeably slow. There are also a number of software bugs and some are fairly obvious ones that become increasingly annoying over time. In just a few months of use, we already experienced two outages, with the most recent lasting around two hours. The interface can also feel a bit confusing at times and importing data from other tools, including similar platforms like Notion, is handled very poorly.

tracking executed right

Pros

Keeping up with every change request is simple and the collaboration features on each item are thoughtfully designed and very user friendly.

Cons

There's no direct Copado/Salesforce integration for handling deployments although I was still able to track everything without too much trouble.

Includes everything

Pros

Beyond handling BPA, project management and time management, it also includes invoicing and collaboration features that really help improve business processes.

Cons

Up to this point I have not run into any issues while using it to plan, track and manage projects.

Organized projects with CRM hub

Pros

ClickUp has been a really good way to keep almost everything organized. I mostly use it as a CRM database and also to stay on top of projects.

Cons

With so many features packed in, it can feel a little overwhelming at times. It definitely helps to keep everything neat and well-structured, otherwise it can start to get messy.

Good but not the best

Pros

Managing tasks across sprints is really easy. The flexibility around task statuses is also a big plus since you can build the exact workflow that fits your team and changing or updating a task's status is not a hassle.

Cons

One frustrating thing is that when I create a task directly inside the current sprint, it sometimes seems to vanish. Because of that, I usually have to create tasks in the backlog first and then move them into the sprint which becomes pretty annoying.

Ticketing finally clicked for me

Pros

Compared to all the jobs where I had to use Jira and ended up dreading it this felt like a refreshing change. The tool is easy to use and still does exactly what I need from a ticketing system. It's simple without losing effectiveness and honestly it's the first ticketing product that made me actually enjoy using one.

Cons

Notifications were probably my biggest frustration. I got flooded with alerts for tickets I had only commented on and even after removing myself as a watcher, I would sometimes still keep getting them. On the flip side, there were also cases where a ticket was created and assigned to me but I never received any notification about it at all. I also wasn't a big fan of the threaded comment style though that part really comes down more to personal preference.

Highly customizable software

Pros

One thing I really like about ClickUp is how customizable it is. It's simple to access, works really well for sharing updates and the AI feature has been especially useful for keeping our team informed and up to date.

Cons

My biggest frustration is that everything seems to be structured as a task. Also I wish there were a better way to store client information in a separate portal of its own. On top of that it can be a little too easy to make mistakes.

calendar is approachable

Pros

Coming over from TeamWork as a newer project manager, it has felt much more capable and useful for the way I work. Their customer support has also been very helpful especially when it came to making sure my certifications were handled properly. I have been able to keep SOPs and onboarding processes in one place and connect them in a way that improves collaboration across the team. That has helped us cut down on messy manual workflows and speed up automation without needing a lot of effort. The calendar is very user friendly too so managing time slots and bookings is much more efficient and client onboarding moves faster as well. Because it's so user friendly even casual users could see it as a very practical option for both work and personal organization.

Cons

The platform can feel overloaded with features. On a personal level, I sometimes need to justify using everything that's available.

plenty of amazing features

Pros

Right from the start I find it easy to use and it comes packed with rich features that fit a wide range of use cases. It really gives the impression that they've thought of just about everything which is a big plus.

Cons

At times the sheer number of features can feel a little overwhelming. Thankfully, they also provide a fantastic Knowledge Base that makes it much easier to find your way around.

highly modern interface

Pros

Right away the clean and modern interface left a good impression. Once I became familiar with the layout, getting around the platform felt natural and being able to tailor workflows and switch between views like list, board and calendar was a major advantage. Assigning tasks and collaborating with the team worked well and helped keep everyone on the same page across our projects. With the amount of flexibility and features included, it gave us good value for money for our team and project needs.

Cons

Getting started was the hardest part especially for new users. There are so many features built in that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first and it took me a few weeks before I fully understood the system and got our setup running the way we wanted.

Top tool for sure

Pros

One thing that really stood out to me was how flexible the platform is. Nearly everything can be customized, from task boards and statuses to automations and reminders. Having task management, docs, time tracking and team communication all in one place is a huge plus. It saves a lot of time and cuts down on constantly switching between different tools.

Cons

At the beginning the interface felt a little overwhelming especially as a new user. It can take time to figure out where certain features are and finding what you need quickly is not always easy. I also noticed occasional slowdowns when working with a large volume of tasks or when updates were happening.

Tracking aligned our teams

Pros

Managing projects in it is very easy. Plus it helps organize tasks, assign owners, update statuses and keep an eye on overall project progress without much effort. It also works well for team collaboration and is simple to use across a group.

Cons

It was a bit confusing to tell which projects in the workspace belonged to me and which ones had only been shared with me. I also wish tasks included a built-in to do checklist feature so each item could be checked off directly, rather than having to list them in comments.

PM hub proved powerful

Pros

It packs an enormous amount of functionality and can handle just about anything you'd want from a project management system. It really feels like a single tool that can do it all.

Cons

That level of power can also work against it. The initial setup is incredibly complicated and it took our team weeks to get things configured, to the point where it barely felt worth the effort.

Versatile views with clear tracking

Pros

Having multiple views available makes it simple to switch perspectives without losing track of anything. Creating subtasks and checklists is fast, custom fields are genuinely useful and assignments stay very clear. It also works well for keeping small internal documents in one place.

Cons

Once we start enabling too many features especially automations, the platform begins to feel heavy and it takes more time to figure out where to click.

offer great customization options

Pros

The full functionality and customization in this software is something I really appreciate. It's tough to come up with a workflow or use case that it cannot handle which makes it incredibly flexible for different needs.

Cons

Pricing can climb pretty quickly as your team grows and some premium features are locked behind the larger subscription tiers.

loved it

Pros

Its messaging is the standout feature for me. It handles pretty much everything which is exactly why I prefer it. There are way too many apps out there that only cover pieces of what you need but this one brings it all together in a single place.

Cons

Getting started can feel like a lot because there's quite a bit to learn at first. It would be even better if they could keep all the flexibility while making the UI a little easier to use. Pricing is also a factor.

Missing transparency

Pros

ClickUp works well for marketing projects and the project management features themselves are amazing. It's fairly simple to keep projects organized and the dashboard looks user friendly too overall.

Cons

At the same time it's difficult to understand each team member's workload which creates a real lack of transparency. Another frustrating part is that some features that were previously available were downgraded later on.
