Every day I rely on ClickUp to build to-do lists and stay on top of my progress. Setting up tasks and workflows is really easy and the fact that it's free is incredible. As a solopreneur keeping costs down matters a lot so this has been a huge help. It really gives small businesses a more professional feel. I never could make sense of Asana and this has easily been the best option for me.

Cons

I have not run into any problems at all. Everything has worked flawlessly and far better than any other software I have used.

“Clean dashboard with useful tracking”

Pros

One thing that really works well about this app is how much time it helps save. The interface looks amazing and the key actions are clearly visible right from the dashboard. Keeping up with work is also easy thanks to the progress bar and the option to add subtasks under each task gives plenty of room to explain assignments in more detail.

Cons

The downside is that syncing on Android mobile devices tends to take a bit longer than expected before it completes successfully.

The interface is modern, the board-style management works really well and having integrations with all my to-do tools in one place is a huge plus.

After six months of using it, I honestly have not run into any issues. The software is very simple and consistent.

One thing I really like is that ClickUp has apps for pretty much every operating system which makes it convenient to check and use it on whatever device I have.

The iPhone app's UX could definitely be improved especially if it looked and felt more native to iOS.

ClickUp comes with a very powerful feature set and its integrations with tools like Zapier are excellent.

One thing to keep in mind is that there can be some performance lag. Sometimes a change takes a couple of seconds to register so if you're not paying attention, you might accidentally create something twice.

They've been quick to roll out integration updates and keep releasing improvements on a regular basis even though an occasional bug shows up here and there.

Cons

The spreadsheet view still has some catching up to do compared with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

Keeping in touch with my employee without sending tons of emails has been a huge plus. The planning, sharing and ability to link with outside sources are incredibly valuable.

At the moment I cannot think of any downsides.

Compared with Jira which used to be our main project management tool, this one gives us a lot more flexibility and customization while still keeping the interface fairly simple to use and the pricing affordable. That's a big reason why we decided to switch. One feature that has been especially useful is the built-in chat room since it helps improve communication across the team. Overall it isn't drastically different from Jira but we can still track daily tasks, monitor time and manage workflows in a way that helps us stay more efficient.

Cons

During the time we've been using it, the platform has worked quite well overall. The only minor issue I'd like to see improved is that notifications do not always come through in real time.

“Different views help team collaboration”

Pros

Having multiple ways to view and filter tasks makes the platform really useful. I can also see what my teammates are working on and collaborate with them directly. There's a lot you can do with it and I have watched different teams adapt it to their own workflows which makes it a worthwhile investment because of how flexible it is.

Cons

One thing I am still missing is a recurring task scheduling option. I'd love to set something like a task that repeats every Tuesday for a certain period of time. If that feature is already there, it hasn't been obvious enough for me to figure out.

The interface has a modern look and feel and I really appreciate that the platform keeps getting updated regularly.

After using it for a while I can honestly say I love it. It has genuinely made me more organized and productive, as overused as those words may sound. The task and subtask customization is one of the biggest reasons why and working with my team inside the platform has been really convenient. The Spaces feature has also been especially useful for us since we can separate work by function like marketing, content, development and more. I also like how flexible the tasks are when you need to break work down further or involve other people. On top of that the interface is quite user friendly and the support team has been excellent. Overall I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone searching for a reliable task management tool and it's definitely worth trying out.

Cons

There really isn't much for me to complain about but one thing that does get frustrating is the occasional heavy lag when there's a lot of data on the content board or in the document editor. That becomes especially annoying when you're in a rush. Another issue is that the content board can start to feel cluttered because completed tasks from 3 or 4 months ago still remain visible. As time passes, that buildup makes the dashboard look messy. I really wish there were an option to automatically archive finished tasks after about a month and a half so the workspace stays cleaner because a cluttered dashboard definitely doesn't help when you're trying to stay focused.

This software is incredibly simple to use and the layout makes everything easy too. Plus it comes with plenty of features that make organizing tasks and managing projects both enjoyable and effortless.

I honestly don't have any complaints about this software as I love everything about it.

It's become a regular part of how I manage both people and projects. I can set goals, assign tasks and keep everything organized in one place. Really amazing product.

Our team definitely had to get through a bit of a learning curve at the beginning but the payoff has absolutely been worth it for the productivity gains over time.
