The system is too simplistic and I dislike the childish prompts and hints that clutter every page even if I've already used that feature. The general ledger is poorly built and challenging to use. There are limited customization options for invoices and estimates.

There is nothing that I like least about FreshBooks. It works well from my perspective.

Creating proposals invoices and accepting credit card payments is a breeze with FreshBooks. It simplifies collaboration and streamlines workflows.

I love FreshBooks but it doesn't seem to handle accounting well for our large business. We've hired a professional accountant to help us with the numbers and she often finds errors in the reports from FreshBooks. It's frustrating because I spend a lot of time managing our finances and need an app that aligns well with our existing processes.

I started with FreshBooks Classic but after a few years the lack of accounting features became too noticeable to ignore. Combined with frequent price increases it became too much for too little.

Pros

Strongest part of this software for me was the professional way it helps with creating invoices especially with tax support. It also stays accessible and user-friendly while covering a lot of areas, payroll management, inventory management and project/time management. Handling large databases feels manageable and the reporting side is solid, reports are easy to generate and invoice tracking updates in real time. The overall setup and implementation felt smoother and simpler than expected and the cloud-based support has been very helpful.

Cons

A few things held it back. The biggest gap is the WePay integration, plus the user manual is limited and doesn't have enough coverage in English. Time tracking within projects is missing and recurring project budgets aren't handled very well. Another annoyance is that it's hard to carry a customer's last balance over to a new invoice. Also, it doesn't integrate well with QuickBooks which makes accounting workflows more difficult.

“Makes invoicing and quoting easy”

Pros

Handling financial challenges in my project is really simple with this FreshBooks app and it works smoothly. I can quickly create quotes, send bids and manage all kinds of finance-related tasks without much hassle.

Cons

Occasionally the app has downtime that really disrupts my workflow. It would be great if they could fix those reliability issues in future updates.
