Pros

The ease of use is exceptional. Setting up business invoices for clients is a breeze.

Cons

It would be a time-saving feature if there was an option to generate an invoice directly from the client master list instead of having to navigate to the invoice tab after creating a new client.

Pros

As a freelancer I appreciate the ease of use and navigation in this software. Invoicing and payment processes are worry-free which is my favorite feature.

Cons

While I'm impressed with this program I would appreciate faster updates and less confusion regarding automatic payments.

Pros

I'm using this for freelance work and it's been pretty simple to navigate day to day. The invoicing and payment flow is handled in a way that means I don't have to constantly babysit it which is honestly the feature I appreciate most.

Cons

Even though I've really gotten into this app, I'd love to see quicker updates and fewer points of confusion around automatic payments.

Pros

Billing service is excellent and the whole setup feels well-designed for very small enterprises and independent contractors. It's simple to use day to day and the customer service has been genuinely outstanding whenever I've needed help.

Cons

There are limits on how many customers and users you can have. Also, the base package doesn't include accountant access or bank reconciliation features.

Pros

I was genuinely relieved when I switched over to FreshBooks. The pricing lined up well with the time it saved me and it's been worth it. The software is simple to use and the customer service has been outstanding anytime I run into something. Overall it feels very user-friendly which I always value when I'm managing my business.

Cons

Honestly there's nothing I'd change right now. It has had everything I need to run my business with confidence and keep things moving.

Absolutely love how simple this program feels. There's no need to install anything on my computer which makes it super convenient and quick to use right away.

It could be even better if it offered more API tools for connecting third-party tools especially if you want deeper integrations.

From the start, it's extremely simple to use, there are no major complications when you're integrating the books and everything feels really smooth. Managing accounting projects works brilliantly as well.

Cons

Updates take too long in my opinion. Everything else has been perfectly fine.

This is one of the best accounting tools I've come across and it feels solid for everyday use. I'm seriously considering buying it and I'll likely go ahead with the purchase.

Cons

There's room to improve the UX since the interface doesn't feel as polished as it could. I also noticed a bit of lag when logging into the system.

Even though it's still fairly new in the UK market, it's already holding its own as a solid option in the bookkeeping software space. It's particularly strong when you use it alongside Barclays Bank and Barclays customers can use it for free which makes it even more appealing.

Cons

Doesn't link directly with HMRC or other tax/accounting production software.

Pros

What i appreciate the most is the simplicity. Creating and sending an invoice to a client takes almost no effort. Also, it can connect with a variety of other services you may already be using which helps organize the whole workflow even further.

Pros

Using it feels extremely simple and it comes with loads of features that help you run your business in a short amount of time. Customer support is also solid. One of the standout parts is the mobile app, plus the UI looks really attractive and modern. They also create nice-looking invoice requests for clients.

Cons

The only downside is that it can feel a bit pricey for subscribers.

It feels like it's built with freelancers in mind which is a big plus. That freelancer-first focus makes the whole invoicing workflow feel more relevant and designed to how independent workers operate.

Coming from the older version, I got a bit thrown off by how much they changed in the latest update. It took me a little while to adjust to the new layout and flow.

Pros

Simple to use and works well even if you don't have any accounting background. It's also compatible with what I needed day to day so it didn't feel overwhelming to set up and start using.

Cons

Does require some designing for certain business types, travel companies in particular. I also wish it had more detailed handling for forex payments since that part needs clearer coverage.

Pros

Covers a lot of the usual accounting needs for small businesses. I can generate and send invoices and it also makes getting paid much more simple. There's also support for tracking additional sources of income beyond just sales.

Cons

"Other income" section still has to be entered manually. Also, the import tool hasn't been dependable for me and it doesn't properly consider tax-related information when bringing data in.

Lets me generate invoices for my products and it also helps me keep tabs on my time so I can stay organized.

Cons

Direct payments from clients don't seem to work which is frustrating when I'm expecting funds to come through automatically.

Actually keeps my remote work and personal life balanced and feels pretty mainstream in day-to-day use. The software is simple, it tracks my time and it handles my invoices without turning into a big hassle. When something comes up, customer support is quick to respond and stays involved while troubleshooting until it's sorted out. Overall, it's been a solid choice for getting my bookkeeping done and keeping things fresh.

Cons

One thing that's been annoying is the limited number of clients allowed,once I hit the cap, I may need to create a new account or switch to a different bookkeeping tool if I've run out of space/data.

“Responsive support”

Pros

I really like how adaptive the app feels and how quickly I can get things done. The invoicing, payment processing and accounts receivable tools are simple but still powerful enough to handle everything I need in that area. Also, the support team has been excellent... friendly, quick to respond and genuinely helpful. It's made a big difference in keeping my one-person operation running smoothly from an accounting standpoint.

Cons

There isn't anything I dislike about the software at this point.

Creating an invoice and sending it to a client feels really simple and it fits nicely with several other services you might already be using. That combination helps everything run more efficiently.

Cons

Works well with other services and stays trouble-free when you connect it to more than one tool.

Pros

App has a standout point of interaction that makes it feel really simple to use, plus there's a strong set of templates you can start with right away for different bookkeeping needs. It also works well when you connect it to other apps which makes it a genuinely useful tool. Being able to create invoices, send them out quickly and then keep an eye on the status and performance afterward is exactly what I recommend it for.

Cons

So there's a Chrome extension for time tracking but it doesn't function as reliably as the time features inside the app. The extension was updated recently and now it's not working the way it should. When you type the project or venture name, it doesn't auto-suggest properly so you end up scrolling through everything to find the right one. I'm sure they'll fix it soon. Occasionally there are also issues syncing costs and I'd love to see more features that make categorizing faster and simpler.

Pros

It handles time logs reliably and makes billing customers for tracked hours simple. The customer service feels better than what most competitors offer. There's a mobile app so you can manage accounting and billing while you're out. The time tracking itself just works. The user interface is clear and easy to understand. You can choose from multiple templates and fully customize them, generate recurring digital invoices, apply discounts and get instant notifications when invoices are viewed or paid online. The mobile app mirrors these same features too.

Cons

Doesn't include quarterly tax reports like QuickBooks Self-Employed though it can generate sales tax and cost reports. Pricing is a limitation, adding more users costs $10/month and depending on the plan, you're capped at 5 or 50 clients on the lower tiers. It's not set up to track income/expenses by class. And even though the premium price feels reasonable for many small business owners, the $15/month+ cost is still hard to swallow when you look at the restrictions on cheaper plans.
