“Amazing”

Pros

This has been working well for our setup since our team is mostly contractors and freelancers so we're not stuck paying for every single person as an individual. It also makes invoicing and billing simple and the recurring payments feature is a real time-saver for ongoing work.

Cons

We ran into the client limit and moving to the next tier would cost us more than double which ends up being too expensive for our budget right now.

“I liked it”

Pros

All credit goes to their customer support, it's genuinely superb. They even helped get me set up quickly. I'm using the tool for invoicing our clients and for accounting purposes and it's been working well for that. Setup was simple and the user interface feels well-designed and simple to navigate.

Cons

The one area I'd change is the pricing. Their pricing model feels a bit steep compared with other tools that offer similar features for less. I chose it mainly because their customer service has been excellent so everything else works fine but the cost could be more competitive.

I've been using it and it feels really user friendly. Tracking my time, logging expenses and staying on top of client invoices has been simple and I didn't run into any major learning curve.

Really happy with this software, it's both better and cheaper than QuickBooks. We initially switched over from QuickBooks Online, paying $9.99/month and now our bill is over $50. This alternative is a big improvement without the steep costs.

Only thing that could be improved is the Graphic User Interface, it doesn't feel as polished as the rest of the workflow.

Invoicing features are seriously strong and a lot more capable than what I've used before. It works well for small to mid-sized construction teams that don't have many staff. The mobile app also makes it simple to capture and upload vendor sales invoices straight into the system from anywhere which saves a ton of hassle on busy job sites. Also, their customer support has been responsive and genuinely knowledgeable about how to use the platform.

Cons

Lower subscription tiers feel a bit restrictive when it comes to the number of users and clients. It could stand out more by expanding those limits on the entry plan since that would make it more competitive with tools like QuickBooks Online and Xero.

I really like how simple everything feels. Also, customer service has never let me down. It makes me feel confident that I'm handling my business tasks the right way.

Something I still haven't fully figured out is the receipt upload feature for expenses.

Everything lives in a single program which makes it much simpler to manage invoices. Looking up an invoice is simple and the status view makes it easy to see exactly where each one is in the payment process.

Cons

The only thing I'd change is how quickly payments show up. It's not a deal-breaker since waiting a day is still fairly reasonable but faster would be even better.

Pros

Super simple to use and getting invoicing plus time tracking set up took very little effort. I also like that it automatically records recent activity, including who you've sent invoices to, along with the current invoice status.

Cons

There's a small learning curve when configuring invoice templates so they show the right details for specific clients. Once you get through that initial setup, it ends up being pretty simple.

“Impressive!”

Pros

It has a really clean, friendly interface and it feels like some of the most up-to-date financial software out there. It also runs on the operating systems I use and their customer support has been excellent. One standout feature for me is invoice deadlines, once I started using it, I no longer need to chase clients for payment because the reminders are handled automatically. Project accounting is also a big win. Overall, getting accounts done takes far less time now which lets me focus on other parts of the business.

Cons

What keeps coming up is that I have to reconnect my bank repeatedly when I use the expenses feature. It would be better if they could keep the connection stable. The website can also be a bit laggy at times.

Liked it quite a bit, everything feels affordable. The interface also comes across as clean and user friendly which makes daily tasks less of a hassle. It includes 13 features overall so it works as a true all-in-one solution for accounting, invoicing and bookkeeping, plus several extra tools that fit businesses of different sizes.

Cons

No major complaints from my side. If anything, I'd suggest refining the Android app a bit to make it even better.

FreshBooks is cloud-based so it's accessible from pretty much anywhere you have an internet connection. It really stands out for nailing the core features, receipt, invoice and proposal creation are some of the best tools I've used and the whole thing feels surprisingly simple when it comes to entering, tracking and managing expenses. It also handles time tracking and mobile mileage tracking in a simple way and the UI is clear and adaptive which makes day-to-day use much easier.

Cons

Every plan comes with a client/user limit and you'll need to pay for extra people using it. Phone support is only available during US business hours.

“real-time invoice tracking is great”

Pros

Works really well for real-time invoice tracking. Setup felt simple and the interface is genuinely adaptive day to day. I also appreciate how quickly I can access the email records sent to each customer, right from within the app. Creating invoices is fast and doesn't feel like a hassle which speeds up my workflow a lot.

Cons

Mobile app is missing a few functions I'd like to have.
