“Made onboarding simple”

Pros

Actually feels like it's built with real people in mind. During signup, it prompts you for the key details right away and then guides you along before anything gets urgent. The dashboard is genuinely motivating, laying out the most important metrics at a glance so it's easy to stay on top of what matters. Email templates are customizable too, including custom signatures which makes the whole process feel more personal for your business. Profitability tracking has been working flawlessly for me.

Cons

Pricing is a bit discouraging, it comes across as quite expensive.

“Clean UI”

Pros

Really loved its visually polished interface which I genuinely enjoy. Even after a long day, opening it up doesn't leave me feeling worn out. Once I sign in, the dashboard puts the key details front and center so I'm not hunting around. It fits my design business well, handling my work from start to finish. I can track time, generate estimates, send invoices, set up projects and even manage recurring retainers.

Cons

Automatic payments can get confusing at times. The mobile app also still needs a lot of improvement. Also, customer support isn't where it should be yet. I'd also prefer for the add-ons from the pricier plans to be available to everyone.

Pros

The entry-level pricing is the best part and getting started is affordable. After adding more users though, the costs jump quickly even when the features stay the same which creates more operational risk than with other solutions.

Cons

What bothered me most is the lack of accurate balance reconciliation. It requires contacting support to get it fixed and since this feature is supposed to be the core of the product, that's not acceptable.

Pros

Hits the sweet spot for me with its simple interface and the wide range of features. It lets me send estimates to keep project timelines on track, generate invoices and get paid. I can also reconcile income and expenses and pull detailed reports showing where my money is coming from and going especially since it connects to my business bank account. After I prepare an invoice, often based on the time tracked for each project or client, it's automatically emailed to the client and I can include reminder emails when needed. Overall, it's cut down a lot of the "administrative" work and makes it more simple for clients to pay me.

Cons

There aren't any major problems with the software.

Pros

I was looking for an online way to handle my accounting... income, expenses, profit and losses. That's when I started using it. What sold me first is the free trial since it lets you test the platform before committing. The user interface feels really simple and it works on both desktop and mobile. Everything is cloud-based so I can quickly add income and expenses and get clear tracking of my profit and loss without much hassle. There's also solid client support, I can add clients, send invoices and collect payments. My invoices end up looking professional and it cuts down the time I used to spend on billing. Another helpful part is being able to bring my team into the workspace so they can collaborate on projects. Also, it integrates with tools like Gmail, Zapier, Acuity, Dropbox and more. There are also plenty of payment, business and accounting features that genuinely help me save time.

Cons

No downsides so far, every feature I've used has been great.

Pros

It has been really solid for me, using it feels simple and the range of features is impressive. I can send estimates and proposals to clients, log and track time for projects, create invoices and then collect payments. It also makes it simple to reconcile all my income and expenses so everything stays organized.

Cons

Setting up client invoicing from time entries can be a bit tricky. The time tracker has been slightly glitchy at times and I've occasionally been charged more than expected based on how many clients were on my account at the time although it looks like that issue has been fixed now.

Pros

Creating new clients and sending invoices has been simple and the whole workflow feels a lot faster than using spreadsheets manually. There are several payment options available which helps me get paid sooner compared to slower bank transfers. It's also nice that my clients get to pick the payment method that fits them best. Another big win is invoicing in multiple currencies since I work with clients worldwide. Right now I use the system for sending invoices and keeping track of expenses and I'm planning to rely on it even more when tax time comes. Overall, it's made my invoicing process less stressful and more efficient than doing everything in Google Sheets.

Cons

The only real downside I've run into is the pricing tiers, the Lite plan covers up to 5 billable clients and then the next step jumps to 50 on the Plus plan. I'd prefer a middle option since I have a mix of long-term clients and plenty of one-off projects and the jump forces me to choose the higher tier more often than I'd like.

Includes everything I need and the setup was simple, plus it integrated cleanly with the external apps we already use.

This tool feels very user friendly and simple to use. The support team is clearly dedicated to customers' success and they've been great whenever I need help. The whole setup is adaptive and it's genuinely useful, being able to handle time tracking, expense tracking and invoicing customers without extra hassle saves me a lot of time.

Cons

I haven't run into any downsides in my case. The support team is responsive and ready to address our needs and issues get resolved on time.

The only thing I'm dissatisfied with is their pricing; they should reconsider it. There are many other tools offering similar services at a lower price. I stick with FreshBooks because of their exceptional customer service. Otherwise, everything is fine.
