Cons

The pricing structure of Freshbooks is a major drawback. Its based on client number rather than offering monthly pricing based on functionality. This means you may have to upgrade to a higher-priced plan even if your needs dont increase. This can be costly compared to competitors like QuickBooks.

We rolled out the "Classic FreshBooks" setup and the interface felt clean and predictable, mostly workable via keyboard navigation, with stability and solid performance. It fit our workflow for nearly 10 years.

Cons

Has started forcing the new interface on everyone and it's been noticeably buggy and slow. We've hit frequent downtime during critical periods like month-end which means customers sometimes can't access or pay invoices. The financial fallout for our business has been significant because of this reliability problem.

What stands out to me about this software is how little effort it requires for paperwork. FreshBooks is incredibly user-friendly making tasks like time tracking and receipt management fast and straightforward.

The lack of payroll functionality is the only downside for me. If they offered payroll Id fully switch back.

I'm able to keep all my recipes and client details neatly stored in it which really comes in handy when tax season rolls around. My bookkeeper appreciates it too, It saves time during tax prep. Beyond that, the support team has been genuinely pleasant to work with whenever I need help. Accepting online payments is simple and uploading receipts is also quick. Even though I'm not great at organizing, it makes it much easier to stay on top of everything.

Cons

No real downsides come to mind. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a simple way to track and manage their transactions.
