“automations that actually work”
Pros
After freelancing for over 20 years, I've always found the finance side the most exhausting part... especially invoicing and waiting to get paid. That changed when I moved to this tool more than a decade ago and I haven't had a reason to switch. During tax season, it seriously makes everything smoother. I also keep it connected to my business credit card so it automatically tracks my business expenses as they come in.
Cons
I offer a few different kinds of services so it would be really nice to save multiple invoice templates and pick the right one depending on the client and what I'm selling. Still since they've continually improved the product over time, I'm assuming that feature may show up eventually.

“DYH Freshbooks Review”
Pros
The best part is being able to integrate the tool with Stripe and link it to my bank account for real-time financial updates.
Cons
The price especially for the pro version seems too high for me although Im still a new user.

“helpful auto late-payment alerts”
Pros
So I don't actually rely on every feature since my day-to-day work is pretty specific but the part I'm genuinely happy with is the automatic email notifications for late payments. Being able to customize the message text and set the timing trigger is really useful and saves a lot of follow-up.
Cons
A colleague I interact with is very particular about receiving a PDF invoice. The software can generate a PDF for me but it still requires sending it through a separate email. As a result, the client typically responds to that manual email rather than the automated one I could send and I end up losing some invoice history. It also ends up looking like the system email was never opened, even though the invoice exchange happened.

“works so well”
Pros
For a typical business owner juggling a bunch of tasks, handling billing can feel like a chore. As a small business owner, I appreciate that I can enter just the basic details and quickly generate an invoice. Recurring billing is easily the standout feature! It keeps the whole process simple and feels pretty foolproof.
Cons
Billing reminders aren't my favorite part of the app. It's not immediately obvious which clients will receive a reminder, you end up opening the client's info screen and hunting for that small checkmark. I'd also rather receive the reminder myself and have an option to forward it on. That would help avoid the awkward situation where a reminder goes out even though the client already paid by check but the payment hasn't been entered into the system yet.

“Takes all the drudgery out of billing.”
Pros
Billing can feel tedious for business owners juggling multiple roles. With FreshBooks minimal information is needed to quickly send an invoice. The recurring billing feature simplifies the process and minimizes errors.
Cons
The billing reminder system isnt user-friendly. Its unclear which clients will receive reminders without checking each one individually. Id prefer to receive reminders myself for better control.

“Continually Improving & Listening to Customers”
Pros
Although I dont use all the features I appreciate the automatic emails for late payments. Being able to customize the email text and timing is a great feature.
Cons
One client insists on a PDF invoice but then I have to send a separate email. Its frustrating because they only respond to that email missing the automated one.

“made finance management easy for me”
Pros
Really enjoy using this software, it's helped my startup grow by letting me send invoices quickly and without hassle. I can also track every cost I've made and get a clear view of my company's finances and everything feels nicely organized. Processing through it is quick so I spend less time on admin and more time focusing on the business.
Cons
No real problems to report. It works well for me and I don't see myself switching to something like QuickBooks.

“clean invoicing with great integrations”
Pros
It has been a solid fit for handling all my business invoicing in one place. The interface feels really polished and it's simple to work through, plus there are plenty of integrations to connect with the other tools I use. Even if someone is new to accounting, the platform doesn't seem overly complicated to get started with.
Cons
The only real downside is the monthly price which can feel a bit high compared to other competitors.

“strong features”
Pros
Really solid suite of features overall. It keeps accounts neatly organized which helps a lot when you're dealing with compliance requirements. The platform is also well-aligned with trusted, reputable software solutions so it feels dependable. Customer support includes instant call assistance and the whole setup ties in nicely with invoicing and great project management. Payments are handled through a secure gateway that accepts Stripe so collecting payments is simple. The 30-day trial is genuinely impressive too, no credit card is required which makes it much easier to test drive the software. It's a good fit for self-employed solopreneurs, agencies and consultancies.
Cons
Would be nice to have more payment processor options for flexibility but aside from that there isn't anything notably bad to report about the software.

“easy invoice automation”
Pros
So simple to use, its interface feels self-explanatory and doesn't come across as overly complicated. The built in features let me automate a lot of different parts of my business without much hassle.
Cons
Right now it doesn't integrate with other tools I rely on, like ReceiptBank. If that connection were available, it would be a perfect setup for me.

“fast and simple”
Pros
Invoicing tools are easily the best part. The whole process is simple and you can put together and send your first invoice within minutes without much setup or hassle.
Cons
It'd be nice if the more basic, lower-priced plans included a few more features since upgrading to higher-tier plans feels necessary sooner than expected.

“UI is great”
Pros
Classic was absolutely spot-on and I used it for nearly eight years straight.
Cons
They pushed everyone off the "classic" version onto their new UI which felt genuinely awful. They also rolled out the change at a really bad time of year, right in the middle of business and it kept interrupting work.

“mileage tracker does the job”
Pros
Mileage tracker is exactly why I chose this software. It matches what I need for recording business mileage. I'm also switching from another tool so I can use this as my main invoicing system and for banking reconciliation, all in one place.
Cons
I haven't spotted an import feature that would let me move my data over from another product. That kind of import would be ideal and would save a ton of time during the switch.
