“Worthless switch to "new" platform.”

Pros

I used the Classic version for almost eight years finding it perfect.

Cons

The forced transition from classic to their new UI disrupted business at a critical time.

“Simple to use and intuitive”

Pros

The mileage tracker feature is why I use this software as it perfectly records business mileage. Im transitioning from another product to use FreshBooks for invoicing and banking reconciliation.

Cons

I havent seen an import feature that allows switching from another product which would save a lot of time.

Pros

FreshBooks meets all my needs for record-keeping invoicing and revenue tracking in my small business. Its an excellent option for those starting out and not ready to invest in QuickBooks.

I honestly cant find many faults with FreshBooks it meets all my needs.

“Organizes billing and bookkeeping”

Pros

It was simple to pick up and roll out in our office for day-to-day bookkeeping. As a designer, I usually dread the business side of things but this tool made it far more manageable so it doesn't feel like a chore anymore. We're able to send invoices to clients, pay vendors, monitor project profitability and handle other key tasks all from a single platform.

Cons

Getting comfortable with the software as someone outside of accounting takes a bit of effort at first. That said, once we figured out the workflow, everything got a lot smoother. One thing I'd change, it would be nice if multiple users could work in the middle tier without paying additional fees.

“Can only have 5 clients in lite package”

Pros

While I appreciate the features the pricing doesnt align with my needs as a small web developer.

Cons

The pricing structure especially limiting to five clients for $10 seems off. Unlimited clients for $40month is a significant jump.

We use FreshBooks solely for Accounts Receivable for tech service invoices and it works perfectly for our needs.

Cons

Adding Accounts Payable would enhance project management and costing capabilities.

FreshBooks is a logical choice for small businesses offering competitive pricing and robust features. I appreciated testing it and the option for custom packages for larger organizations.

Cons

The reporting feature while good could be more robust especially for tracking unusual commissions.

Pros

I use FreshBooks to bill clients send invoices and track time and it performs these tasks incredibly well. It exceeds all my expectations.

Cons

I may find a need for additional features in the future but for now the software is perfect for my needs.

The Project Tracker and job profitability feature is excellent.

Cons

The bank feed limitations especially only importing debits are frustrating and could be a deal-breaker.

As a freelancer FreshBooks made invoicing simple and getting paid even simpler.

Cons

I started with the Lite plan but found it too basic so I upgraded to the Plus Plan and am satisfied.

FreshBooks simplified bookkeeping in our office making tasks like billing clients and tracking project profits much easier. It streamlined the business side of things for us.

Cons

Learning to use it without an accounting background was challenging but once learned it streamlined processes. I wish the mid-tier allowed multiple users without extra cost.

“I like the interface”

Pros

The standout part is the visualization and overall look and feel. The interface is really simple to use and I didn't need much (if any) training because every button and feature is pretty well designed and adaptive.

Cons

To get paid via credit cards, along with bank transfers, seems to depend on the country. I should roll out those payment options to more countries worldwide so more customers can use them.

“FreshBooks was a great starter product”

I loved how easy FreshBooks was to set up and start using for AR and AP activities unlike other tools Ive used.

Cons

While its user-friendly I wish it offered more customization and functionality from the start.

Though it occasionally has bugs theyre usually fixed promptly though it can be frustrating.

FreshBooks offers many integration options like Gusto for streamlined payroll tracking making accounting operations seamless from invoicing to automatic reporting.

Cons

The application should be more flexible regarding fees and handle large data quantities better to avoid crashes.

Biggest win for me is how easy it was to use. Getting started was simple and I was up and running quickly for AR and AP activities. Compared to the other tools I've tried which took a lot more effort to configure, this one felt far more painless.

Cons

There are definitely trade-offs, some functionality, customizability and overall power are limited compared to more complex solutions. I wish it had offered more customization right from the beginning and then still kept the user-friendliness, adding extra customization after setup would've been the ideal approach.

Project Tracker and the job profitability feature have been really helpful for keeping tabs on each job and understanding how things are performing.

Cons

Bank connection behavior is a deal breaker. On the first run, I only saw the date picker and account selection and after that it never showed up again... so I had to manually feed transactions. Even then, it only imports debits and not deposits which is completely unacceptable.

The best thing about FreshBooks is its user-friendly interface and visual appeal. Every feature is perfectly designed eliminating the need for extensive training.

Cons

Expanding payment options like credit card and bank transfers to more countries would be beneficial.

“solid accounts receivable support”

Pros

We're using this package just for Accounts Receivable.. specifically for tech service invoices while working on site. Setup feels simple and it's been reliable for us.

Cons

It would be better if it also included Accounts Payable so we could manage the full project workflow along with costing in one place.

FreshBooks is incredibly easy to use offering convenient payment options and a lovely layout.

Its incredibly user-friendly and customizable making it easy to send and receive invoices.
