Works really well for invoice management if you're running a startup. It covers the basics like invoicing and the estimating feature stood out to me, being able to create estimates is important both for individual customers and for tracking project work.

Starting with it through the free trial made it simple to test out the product and once we felt confident, we could adjust and commit financially for the software. The realtime invoice tracking is especially useful and feels like one of the best features.

Still doesn't offer direct integration with other CRMs and that's something I'd really like to see improved.

When I'm visiting customers, I don't have to worry anymore about how to follow up on expenses. Moving my back-office admin work to it has reduced that workload a lot. Everything feels more organized and structured now which used to be a major time killer for me. Going electronic with my finances also means I don't have to chase or store piles of paperwork like I did before. It even helps me get a clearer view of how I'm allocating my time so I can estimate billable hours and hourly rates more accurately for both current and upcoming consulting work. That's better for customers and better for me. In a highly competitive market, pricing accuracy really matters and FreshBooks supports that.

Cons

Support and customer service have been working well and it's there when I need help... especially during new software setup. Honestly there isn't much to complain about here. Kudos to it for doing a great job.

I use this software every day for work and it's been genuinely solid. I've tried a few other tools like it but they didn't feel as dependable or useful. This one really does the job so I can't compare it in a fair way, Its usefulness stands out. I've had a positive experience with it overall. If you're considering it, install it and give it a try, you might forget about the other options afterward because it's that worthwhile.

As the owner, this was the first tool that helped me learn more about finance than I didn't already know. It provides fresh books reports and downloads at a convenient speed, without any hassle. It also has an excellent automated system for processing credit card payments, complete with helpful reminders. Overall, there are plenty of positive features that make day-to-day tasks smoother.

Cons

The main downside is the limitation on the number of clients. I also don't like that they removed PayPal integration in the newer version.
