“quick to setup”

Pros

It handles most of the process for you so all you really need to do is enter your data. That single step ends up saving a ton of time and prevents a lot of the usual back-and-forth frustration.

Cons

Occasionally it has frozen on me and I've had to go through the process of re-entering all my data.

I really like being able to send edits and keep track of my business right from the app. The phone experience feels solid and it would be awesome to have more of the same options available on mobile like the desktop version offers.

This was the first accounting/invoicing tool I used for my consulting business and it matched my needs really well. The customization options were solid, the backend did what it should and overall it covered all the boxes I was looking for at the time.

Cons

Usage became impractical pretty quickly because moving from the free plan to the paid tier, even for the smallest upgrade, felt like too big a jump to justify the cost. These days, it also seems like other cloud accounting options have moved ahead.

Pros

I've worked as an accountant for a few years and used it to manage my day-to-day bookkeeping. The platform made it simple to bill clients, set up recurring invoices, handle tax calculations and track payments. Overall, it has become a must-have tool in my accounting toolkit.

Cons

Pricing options are limited which can make it hard for smaller businesses to figure out the most cost-effective plan. I also felt the lack of a solid mobile app for working on the go, at least when I used it, it didn't have one yet.

Pros

Mostly, I use this for invoicing and recurring billing and it's been refreshing to run across an option that actually handles auto pay. A lot of tools can set up recurring invoices but they stop short of automation on the payment side, it manages both so the whole setup feels more complete for ongoing charges.

Cons

The cost is a bit steep since I'm mainly using it for standard invoicing. If you only need basic billing, there are other options that work with PayPal or similar payment routes which can be more budget-friendly.

Pros

Has a lot going for it when it comes to creating, managing and sending invoices and the overall invoice workflow is really efficient. It also ties in nicely with employee work time tracking which helps keep things in one place. Also, the platform handles payments well and supports receipt management for both payments and expenses.

Cons

Biggest issue we ran into is how it handles credit cards, support there feels lacking. It also doesn't offer as many payroll management tools as some other accounting services and it wasn't syncing smoothly across all of our devices.

It's simple to use and the cloud platform makes it really flexible and accessible no matter where you are. Collaboration tools are solid and make it easy to work with others together. The pricing also feels fair so overall the value is excellent.

I think it has a really nice feel to it. Our accounting team also noticed that the time and effort required to get reports ready was reduced. The whole workflow feels quick and flexible and the support team has been genuinely helpful, responses come in very promptly.

Cons

Mobile app still needs some work. It doesn't live up to the desktop experience and with a bit more optimization for performance, it could turn into a much stronger companion app. Pricing is also decent so it's not a deal-breaker.

Setup and day-to-day use were surprisingly simple, even when we were still getting comfortable with bookkeeping. It also has solid responsiveness from the support team which helps when you're learning the basics. Overall, it's a great fit for anyone new to accounting or bookkeeping.

Cons

A few features we later needed weren't included and that limitation pushed us to move to another tool after about nine years. Still, the experience was positive enough that the switch felt more like an upgrade path than a regret.

Pretty easy to set up, honestly. And I'm able to upload my logo so each invoice looks personalized. It also lets me export invoices as PDFs, resend them when clients request and email them directly from within the software.

Cons

It's a bit tricky to manage invoices that weren't created, those can end up out of sequence unless I renumber them and re, Import them into the new format.

The flow was simple to follow and quick to use, nothing felt overly complicated. It's a solid fit if you run your own business with low overhead and don't have much bookkeeping experience.

Genuinely, it is simple to use and manage and it's something I kept in my toolkit for a long time. I could handle payments, track time and send invoices all from one place which I really appreciated. Billing could also be done in a few different ways, giving me some helpful flexibility.

Cons

Back then, it didn't provide a way to track incoming payments to my bank account unless they came through their invoicing flow. That limitation was honestly pretty frustrating since I ended up entering any other payments manually, like when a client paid by paper check, I had to create an invoice and fill everything out.

Pros

I've been using it for around 10 years and the newest version has clearly improved things. Creating a professional-looking invoice is something I genuinely enjoy because it's quick and simple. The online payment options are also a big win since they help me get paid faster. Also, the recurring invoicing feature is exactly what I needed for ongoing clients. Overall, I can't recommend it enough.

Cons

All good, nothing negative comes to mind. If anything, the only thing someone might mention is pricing but it still feels reasonable considering everything it includes. I'm just really happy with the product.

It’s been ten years that I’ve been using FreshBooks, and that’s for a reason. It is easy to use, it has so many great features, and serves well. It has an online payment feature, which gets all the payments fast, without any delay. It generates a professional looking invoice. I highly recommend this tool to everyone.

Interface is pretty approachable and the core features work well enough for someone using it for the first time.

It's been glitchy, support/customers service hasn't been very helpful and it seems like my documents don't reliably save or keep their memory.

Billing setup feels really clean and polished. Getting invoices and estimates generated and shared is simple and the layout looks well thought out.

Cons

A few important reporting features are missing and the system seems geared more toward services than selling actual items. Also, they keep rolling out integrations that require extra payment, I'd rather see more core functionality included in the updated pricing instead of pushing additional integrations as add-ons.

Pros

This has been the best invoicing and accounting tool I've used so far. I was able to get the hang of how it works almost immediately. Everything feels well-organized and the interface is genuinely user-friendly.

Cons

Sync/refreshes are painfully slow especially when loading up to complete a process. Also, the tab I'm working in jumps back to the top which gets pretty frustrating.
