Hightail has been supporting my business for years

Pros

I love that I can easily send audio files to clients through Hightail, including readings and recordings of private consultations. It provides me with a link that I can share multiple times for group recordings. The speed and absence of an expiry date are major advantages.

Cons

It's becoming easier for clients to understand how to download it, although some are still hesitant about the technology. I often find myself repeatedly explaining to people how they can retrieve their file. It would be helpful to have clearer instructions for the receiver to download or listen to the file.

Hightail Review

Pros

When it comes to sending large files to clients, it is incredibly easy to use. I also like receiving email notifications when someone downloads a file, being able to preview files before downloading, and the quick drag-and-drop feature for sending large files.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the email component as it lacks formatting options. Clients sometimes get confused about whether they need to create a login to download the files I send them. Additionally, Hightail doesn't integrate with my Outlook email program, so I have to send a follow-up email to inform clients that another email with download links will follow.

Hightail review by Hit Trax MIDI Files

Pros

The convenience and ease of use are remarkable. Recipients have no trouble downloading the files we upload and vice versa.

Hightail My experience

Pros

What I like the most is its simplicity, the availability of delivery notifications and the optional link that I can share with my clients for them to send files to me.

Cons

Navigating the dashboard has been a bit challenging at times, especially when trying to locate previous items.

Hightail - a business tool I can't live without.

Pros

As a freelance Creative Director, I absolutely love how easy it is to use. It allows me to customize content for each of my clients while keeping everything in one accessible location. This streamlines my process and allows me to seamlessly transition from one job to another. Additionally, I can share large files for instant feedback and have discussions right on the platform, keeping everything conveniently bundled together.

Cons

I have encountered issues where clients don't understand what they're supposed to do with the invite or link. I have also heard cases where they were prompted to download the software on their first visit, and one person ended up with a recurring charge after accessing the link. While I haven't personally faced these problems, since I have been using Hightail for years, I am quite concerned about the client experience. Most of these concerns come from clients who aren't tech-savvy, but they are still important clients who need proper guidance. Is there a way to simplify the process even further for them?

One of the best collaboration tools out there

Pros

I love the idea of having dedicated 'Spaces' for each of my clients, each with its own unique URL.

Cons

I really wish I had the option to create folders or "sub-spaces" within a space. Currently, I have to constantly delete old files from each space to keep things organized when uploading new files. Having sub-spaces would allow me to maintain organization even as I add new files.

Great for sharing big files

Pros

I am a big fan of Hightail Spaces because it makes sharing a group of files much more convenient for clients.

Cons

I wish we had the ability to choose the thumbnail image for QuickTime files. It is a shame that it's automatically selected for us.

Easy to use - tough to review who downloaded and when

Pros

It is very much easy to use and uploading files or folders is also a hassle free task with it.

Cons

It would be helpful if, after sending a file or folder, I could access a page showing me the download history, including who downloaded it and when. Currently, I have to opt for an email to be sent to me, which makes it difficult to review the information months later.

Hightail User

Pros

The most remarkable aspect of this product is the ability to create a custom link, allowing my customers to verify that they are sending their files to me. Additionally, the transfer speed is impressive.

Cons

Nothing really, the software is pretty easy to use, and the price point is fair.

Stepping Up Provide for Customer Needs

Pros

When I need to deliver a large file, whether it is a graphic or media file, HighTail delivers speedily, efficiently and reliably.

Cons

When I need to deliver a file to multiple clients, I can't create a group. I am forced to manually type in each email address every single time. It's quite time-consuming, and I have more important things to do. There used to be a group option, just like there used to be folder options. I've contacted support and expressed my concerns, but I've been told "sorry, we can't do that" and "sorry, we don't offer that." These answers are not satisfactory. As my clientele grows, Hightail is becoming a hindrance. These are basic requests, and I hope Hightail will prioritize them. Otherwise, I'll have to find another solution. I hope you're listening to this feedback.

Couldn't work globally without Hightail

Pros

Hightail makes everything pretty easy for me. It allows me to share high-quality graphics, video clips and text in very large files with clients and colleagues worldwide. The ability to receive feedback and updates quickly is also priceless.

Cons

There are numerous features and functions that I haven't explored yet, so it's too early for me to criticize.

Reliable Media Sharing Platrom.

Pros

We have been working with Hightail since its YouSendIt days and have continued using it after the rebranding. Their uploading services have always been reliable and their regular updates and new features have kept our creative studios workflow efficient and up-to-date. The receipt we receive in our main inbox every time we send a file is great for project tracking and provides peace of mind that the file was successfully sent. The expiration option ensures that we maintain optimal storage capacity without overload.

Cons

Viewing videos on mobile devices through their app is not the best experience and could be better optimized. There is no true full-screen mode, and it feels a bit clunky, but it's nothing that can't be easily worked around.

I couldn't work without Hightail.

Pros

Hightail is very user-friendly, as recipients don't need permission, additional software or anything else to access my files. It is also easy for them to forward the email to someone else, which is quite helpful when sending large files to clients for printing. They can simply forward the email to their printer.

Cons

Occasionally, clients encounter problems when uploading files to Hightail - Uplink. I have had several clients complain that they can't upload more than 7-8 JPGs at a time. It's quite frustrating for them, and they usually resort to using Google or Dropbox instead.
