ticket tracking that works

Pros

Opening tickets is easy and it does a good job of helping keep track of issues.

Cons

Every now and then it has to be restarted because it crashes and some pages either load very slowly or don't load at all.

agile tracking win

Pros

Right away, the strongest part is the range of features it brings for day-to-day team work. Boards and issue filters make searching for issues very convenient. It's also useful for logging hours spent on tasks. Tasks can be broken down into subtasks without much effort which helps a lot when distributing work across team members. Another helpful feature is the ability to size stories and assign points which is very valuable for Agile teams. The software also includes multiple board views and configuration options that are especially handy during stand-ups and for tracking progress. On top of that, users can tag teammates and send emails to the relevant people in the organization to keep attention on active issues. Since most engineers are already comfortable working with Excel, the option to import issues from Excel is a big help in daily activities.

Cons

One area that can be difficult is test case management especially when Zephyr is not being used for that purpose. Compared with this, tools like Integrity handle test case management better when it comes to suites, linking test plans with test suites and connecting test cases for requirement traceability.

simple tracking

Pros

It ties the different pieces of agile development together really well. Connecting defects, stories and other agile items feels easy and the interface is pretty simple to work with.

Cons

At times, getting defects and similar items routed to the correct team can be a bit tricky especially when you do not have the right permissions for a specific team. It is also not always obvious who belongs to a team or who the right person is to assign work to.

great team notes

Pros

Starting out on bigger projects felt a lot less overwhelming with this software. It does an excellent job of project management by helping me keep track of each individual step and clearly showing where my work fits into the larger picture. The communication tools inside the platform are also really useful since project managers can check in on specific items and all the notes stay organized in one place.

Cons

It does come with a bit of a learning curve although that really depends on how complex you need it to be. If you begin with the basics and build from there, it becomes much more manageable and your own use cases naturally push you to learn more over time.

perfect for integration

Pros

Working with this has been really positive especially because it connects so well with other products. It also comes with a wide range of features, automation rules and integrations and it handles a lot of complex use cases without much trouble.

Cons

That level of capability also adds quite a bit of complexity which can affect the user experience and make administration and settings harder to manage. For a smaller organization, it may simply be more than you actually need.

setup needs improvement

Pros

At this point, I haven't come across anything in this product that I don't genuinely enjoy.

Cons

Starting a new project and locating an IT ticket could be handled much better. There are quite a few areas that still need improvement.

helpful client follow-up

Pros

From a sales perspective, I don't use it heavily but the dashboard gives me a clear way to keep track of my key customers and stay updated on what's going on. It also makes it simple to pass along my clients' requests to the technical team so support can follow up with them directly. Everything is logged and that really helps us maintain strong, high-quality customer service.

Cons

I haven't used it deeply enough to point out any major issues. The only minor difficulty was getting comfortable with it at the beginning but with help from a colleague on the support team, I quickly got the hang of using the basic functions.

Strong features but minor limitations

Pros

The task management features, the GUI and the timesheet concept are all great parts of the software.

Cons

One issue with commits is that the commit message does not show up under a task unless the task name is included in it. On the timesheet side, it needs to be more flexible for mobile use and it would help to have a blank column not tied to any task so people can log what they worked on when they did not have a specific task assigned.

strong team management

Pros

It's been a really great tool for managing teams and keeping software development work organized.

Cons

One issue is that progress indicators can be a bit difficult to maintain and sometimes I still need to rely on an external tool like Excel for analysis.

confluence integration bonus

Pros

Connecting it with Confluence has been really convenient. It automatically picks up any Confluence links that get shared which saves time and the ticket cloning feature is also very useful when we need to duplicate similar work.

Cons

Where it falls short is in the support and the guidance around standard usage. It's also difficult to track down lost data and while the UX is fairly simple, it doesn't alert us when an important piece of information is missing.

flexible backlogs

Pros

Customizable fields make it simple to adapt this software to the way your team already works. You can run a kanban setup, a sprint-based process or even use both side by side. It also connects really well with other products which helps create a more complete solution overall. Collaboration across teams is easier to coordinate and the visual layout of the backlog and to-do list is very helpful.

Cons

Managing permissions can get tricky when you're dealing with especially complex group structures. There are also some edge cases where you may want to build a very specific workflow but the system doesn't fully support that level of customization.

team tracking win

Pros

Keeping everything organized in one place has been a huge plus. It lets you manage a team, see everything that was done on a specific task, communicate with everyone involved and share progress clearly with management. For a business setting, it really feels like the right tool for the job.

Cons

Since we moved over from Excel documents, there was naturally a bit of an adjustment period. The team had to learn how to use the platform properly and break the habit of automatically going back to Excel for tracking. Aside from that transition, it has been a very well-built solution.

helpful dashboards

Pros

One thing that really works well with this tool is how it helps track service requests and change requests. The workflow setup makes it simple to follow a ticket through its different stages which is very useful. Watchers is also a nice feature because it keeps us involved in tickets that matter to us. On top of that, the dashboards and reports are very helpful features too.

Cons

I feel this tool already includes all the important features needed for Incident Management and Change Management.

powerful task tracking

Pros

There's definitely a learning curve at the beginning especially if you're not coming from a technical background. Still, once the system starts to make sense and you understand how the parent task and sub-task structure works, it becomes a really useful tool for tracking work.

Cons

At first, the software doesn't feel especially user-friendly because the interface is so wide-ranging and packed with options. It can seem like too much upfront and it would probably be better if the setup could be narrowed down more for each customer.

clear project visibility

Pros

One of the biggest benefits is how simple it is to keep track of a project, set realistic deadlines and let even someone who doesn't know the project well quickly understand its current status.

Cons

If everything isn't structured properly, it can become very complicated to manage and requires constant updates to keep it useful.

versatile incident tracking

Pros

How flexible it is for logging and tracking incidents. The layout feels simple and it's simple to follow tickets and separate them properly. The Kanban feature is another part I really enjoy using.

Cons

A drawback is that regular bug or product releases aren't very easy to track. The reporting side could definitely be better too since working with the data, compiling it and even accessing or extracting it felt difficult. Integrations with other ticketing tools can also be unreliable at times especially with Freshdesk in our case. Another thing I'm not too fond of is how it bundles multiple products into one larger platform, like Confluence being under the same umbrella. We also ran into login credential issues and when working with customers who use it as their primary ticketing system as well, our own platform credentials sometimes got mixed up with the customer's. It also takes more than average technical knowledge to really configure it the way you want so it would be better if it were more accessible for non-technical users.

reliable workflow tracking

Pros

Every day, my team relies on this product for project management and it has been a really great way to keep track of tasks and manage our workflow.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the reporting side for management especially around project burn rates and churn rates.

workflow powerhouse

Pros

Across the last several companies I've worked at, this has consistently been the platform teams rely on and its ability to handle very different workflows across completely different environments feels unmatched. The biggest selling point is how well it connects with their other equally strong products which really makes the whole ecosystem stand out.

Cons

It can be somewhat heavy to manage and upgrade on the admin side and it tends to consume a lot of resources.

custom dashboards keep things clear

Pros

Having control over the customization is easily the strongest part for me. It helps a lot with my daily workflow because I can set up a dashboard that fits exactly what I need and quickly see where different projects, tasks and open tickets stand at any given time.

Cons

A feature that could still be improved is the option to change the reporter. I understand why that may not be available right now since it could get messy but in our company there are times when the original reporter has already left. When that happens, user-based filters can become inaccurate so being able to update reporters for inactive users would make things much more practical.

reliable issue updates

Pros

It does exactly what we need it to do. We use it to keep track of bugs, ideas and other items and being able to watch an issue and get updates helps me stay in the loop.

Cons

One thing that has always felt lacking is the search functionality. It would be much better if you could search by something like "last 6 months" or set a specific date range.
