clean interface and integrations

Pros

Right away, the interface feels clear and comfortable to read. Compared with other software I've used that felt cluttered, this one is much cleaner. It also sends email notifications for even small changes in requests or bug tracking which helps me stay updated.

Cons

I don't have anything to complain about with this software. It gives plenty of clarity when working on tools, lets you add your own files and screenshots and it can also be integrated with a version control tool.

helpful planning tools

Pros

From a support team perspective, the planning and organization features are really valuable for tracking development progress and keeping work visible. We use the software to submit bugs, feature requests, usability issues and general tasks and the Capture tool along with templates makes that process much more manageable. There is still some manual effort involved but Capture makes a big difference and helps the team log tickets in a much more effective way.

Cons

Getting started with the platform can be challenging and it takes quite a while to understand all of the product's complexity especially for someone on the support side rather than a software developer. I also wish the Zendesk integration were stronger since a few limitations mean we can't really use it right now. As I've become more involved in prioritizing support tickets, I've also run into a few issues trying to make some of the organization features fit our workflow though that may be partly because we're stretching the tool beyond its intended purpose.

handy daily boards

Pros

Keeping daily work organized is pretty easy with this tool. The combination of multiple boards and different contexts makes it practical to use every day and the overall setup feels simple to work with.

Cons

Sometimes navigating through it and locating older tickets I want to reference can be a bit difficult. It also took a while to realize that certain states aren't available depending on the current value entered in specific fields.

dashboards with full control

Pros

Right from the start, the level of customization has been one of the best parts of using it. You can build your own dashboard the way you want which makes daily work much more convenient. I've been using it for around one and a half years now and it has handled everything well. Another useful thing is that I can assign a ticket to myself and also act as the reporter so there's no need to switch between different tools for those tasks. Managing worklogs is also very convenient. On top of that, tracking tickets is very easy, if a ticket has been assigned to someone, you can still follow the entire roadmap, monitor progress and update it whenever needed.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about this tool. It covers everything I expect from a project tracking and management platform.

agile boards that shine

Pros

One of the biggest strengths for me is the Agile board. It really helped me stay aligned with the Agile methodology throughout my project. The board shows all the key details I need, such as the current task status and progress, expected completion time and the effort or estimation required to finish each task. The bug tracking is also very strong, with useful options for setting bug priority, checking current progress and linking each bug to the related user story or requirement. Another helpful feature is assigning released versions to bugs which makes things much more manageable later during project releases. On top of that, it connects well with external tools like TestRails, Bitbucket and several others which makes overall project management much better.

Cons

Getting used to the user interface can be quite challenging especially for someone who is new to the tool. Another issue is that there are no proper warning or confirmation prompts when making changes to a ticket so if something is updated by accident, it can be hard to undo or restore afterward.

highly customizable

Pros

There's a ton of room to customize it based on what your project actually needs. It's a really flexible tool that fits teams of any size even if you're working solo.

Cons

It can feel pretty overwhelming because the terminology and setup process take some time to understand.

essential for product teams

Pros

For any product team, this feels absolutely essential. I honestly can't imagine how teams manage roadmapping without it alongside Confluence.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve though. Without proper training, it can feel like something impossible to get under control. I spent my first three months in the role just trying to figure out what it actually did and how to make it useful for my workflow. After that, I finally reached out to an expert to really understand how the product works. Also, I'd love to see the old UI come back because it was better than the current one.

setup takes effort

Pros

There's definitely no shortage of features here and on paper it has a lot that should make project management easy. The mobile app does the job and the website performs well enough for day-to-day use. It also gives you plenty of places to enter and manage data although that ends up being part of the downside. When everything is configured properly, it can support project management well. But if you're using it more like a basic out-of-the-box Agile tool, it doesn't keep up as well as some competing products.

Cons

One of the biggest frustrations is the sheer number of configuration options because it can take a very long time to get everything working the right way for your team. On top of that, the UI has been changing a lot lately which has made it harder to tell where certain data lives and, not surprisingly, has slowed our workflow down. If the interface were more consistent, I think this could turn into a much better product overall.

great tool overall

Pros

This is the best tool I've used so far and it feels like it will continue to be very effective for users going forward. It already works really well though making it even more effective would be a nice improvement.

Cons

I really don't have any complaints about it because everything feels well done and pretty much spot on. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.

development gold standard

Pros

Across several organizations and teams of all sizes, working on different kinds of software, this has consistently been the gold standard for software development. After using a lot of tools in different environments, I can confidently say it's the best option available.

Cons

One frustration is the lack of fine-grained control over notifications and emails. It's hard to tune them the way most people want and I end up getting hundreds of emails every day.

simple tracking win

Pros

Right from the start, the interface felt very simple which made the platform simple to use and just as simple to train others on. I was able to learn it quickly and then share that knowledge with the rest of my team without much effort. It's been especially helpful for keeping our team on top of project progress and the tools we use.

Cons

One thing I'd really like to see in future updates is more direct integrations with the software and applications I use every day so updates can happen automatically or at least be much easier to manage.

bitbucket boosts teamwork

Pros

Working together is much simpler with this tool and the BitBucket integration really helps align a lot of team activity.

Cons

One downside is how heavily the product depends on JQL. The built-in filtering really needs to be more approachable for non-technical users. Developers can create their own filters without much trouble but everyone else ends up dealing with too much noise in the results to easily spot the tasks that actually matter.

simple reporting logic

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is being able to run reports on just about anything and the logic is easy enough to pick up even if you are not an analyst.

Cons

Since the platform can do so much, it really takes someone with expertise to set it up in a smart way. Ours was not configured very well so people tend not to like it but that is mostly because they do not realize how much it is actually capable of.

Pros

Everything runs well and quickly. We use it to manage delivery projects and keep track of time.

One confusing part is that the default time unit switches between "hours" and "minute" at times which can cause mistakes.

great support

Pros

Connecting it with Bitbucket and TeamCity has been incredibly useful. The links take me straight to the branches and builds I need to check which saves time and makes the whole process much more convenient.

Cons

I still have not explored the platform very deeply but I have not really figured out how it manages test cases yet so I usually just attach my Excel test cases instead.

simple bug tracking

Pros

Our team uses it as a aligned way to track, share, report and collaborate on bugs, tasks, issues and projects across the organization.

powerful but awkward to use

Pros

There's a lot of power in this tool once you get past the learning curve. It comes with really strong project management features especially things like workflows and board customization which make it very capable.

Cons

A lot of things aren't located where you'd expect them to be and even simple setting changes tend to feel more complicated than they should because of all the extra steps involved.

kanban planning shines

Pros

Defect logging Kanban board and built-in metrics are really useful. It also does a great job with task management, including creating epics, tasks and subtasks which helps a lot with organizing requirements and tracking work.

Cons

Plugin integration could be better. In some cases, custom coding is still needed to get plugins connected and it would be much more helpful if direct plugin support were available.

workflow customization

Pros

There's a huge range of features and customization options here. In fact, there are so many that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first but it also means you can tailor your workflows to match the way your organization operates.

Cons

That same depth can also become a downside. With so many features and customizations available, it's important to use the software the way it was designed, otherwise some of those tweaks can turn into a real headache over time.

essential project companion

Pros

These days, keeping projects organized and staying in sync with a team is hard to manage without the right system and this feels like one of those tools you absolutely need in your stack. I honestly can't picture handling project management without it. It does a really great job of helping teams collaborate, stay organized and keep everything moving on time. One of the best parts is that each project can run with its own workflow or management lifecycle without getting in the way of others which makes it incredibly practical.

Cons

JQL is a really strong feature for building your own queries and finding or bulk updating issues but once the query gets more advanced, you usually have to rely on a workaround or bring in an add-on to make it work. The existing formulas already offer a lot yet it can still be difficult at times to locate exactly what you need. Thankfully, that doesn't happen very often.
