“excellent sprint visibility”

Pros

Being able to visualize sprint deliverables through a swimlane agile board is outstanding and makes a real impact.

Cons

Certain areas of the user interface can feel a bit awkward now and then but they continue to improve and refine it over time.

“structured but cluttered”

Pros

It provides a well-structured system for agile development.

Cons

Using the interface can be really frustrating because it feels overly complicated. That may be tied to its attempt to stay un-opinionated as a tool for agile development. The "Create > Story" modal is a good example, our team usually works with only about five story stages at a time yet the modal includes many more. Because of that, it takes extra effort to locate the options we actually use.

“feature-packed platform”

Pros

It covers everything I need for tracking development. I honestly haven't run into a single feature gap or thought of something I needed that wasn't already there. The UI refresh from about a year ago also made the interface feel much more polished and fluid.

Cons

There's a slight learning curve at first but that's pretty understandable considering how much functionality the platform includes.

“dashboards for team visibility”

Pros

Plenty of useful features are available and they scale well based on what the team needs. The dashboards and filters give valuable visibility into team status which helps with decision-making and setting priorities. Drag-and-drop functionality, task setup and assignments also make our daily stand-ups more efficient and productive.

Cons

The downside is that it is not very simple and getting the most out of it takes a certain level of background knowledge. There are a lot of features built in but they do not add much value unless users already understand how to use them properly.

“easy toolkit”

Pros

Compared with other Agile development suites I've worked with, this one feels the most user friendly. A lot of competing tools pile on features that none of the companies I've been at ever actually use. This platform includes those options too but it doesn't push them on you or force you to work that way.

Cons

Getting around the product can feel a bit tough at times. If you're working across multiple projects, you have to keep switching between them which slows things down. The average user will probably need a little basic training to understand how to navigate everything properly.

“versatile with add-ons”

Pros

This platform works really well because it can be tailored to fit a wide range of needs. We use it with our development teams to support their Agile workflows and at the same time we rely on it for infrastructure change control. On top of that, there are plenty of add-ins available that add even more value and make the product even more capable.

Cons

Setting everything up and configuring the product comes with a pretty steep learning curve. A lot of that complexity comes from how flexible it is since it can be customized into almost anything you need.

“helpful visibility but awkward flow”

Pros

Across the entire organization, no matter the department, it does a good job of capturing developer issues and product enhancement requests on a global level.

Cons

It feels slow and confusing to read. Tagging cases to the main IT ticket is difficult and the comments on an issue are not very easy to locate either.

“better request tracking”

Pros

Compared with the manual ticketing process we relied on for years, this has made it much simpler to track requests across the company.

Cons

At times, it's not completely clear what should be submitted as an IT ticket and what shouldn't. That said, this isn't really a limitation of the system itself but more of an implementation issue.

“Reliable service desk but costly add-ons”

Pros

At its core, this software does a really good job as a service desk. The catch is that pretty much every additional feature or add-on ends up costing extra.

Cons

Almost everything you genuinely need comes as a paid app from the IT store which adds more expense. Even a lot of bug fixes seem to rely on installing yet another third-party app.

“Quick access with difficult search”

Pros

Having the direct link is useful when you already know the item number since it takes you straight to it.

Cons

Trying to search is almost impossible. You have to know the specific syntax, including the right fields, just to make it work. Without someone giving you the item number ahead of time, finding anything is pretty much useless.

“agile ticket tracking”

Pros

As a project management tool, this works really well for our Agile team here at 14 West. The ticket view is very readable and getting notifications on updates is easy and helpful.

Cons

At times, the system does feel a bit awkward though that's somewhat expected. There are also moments when too many people on the team are making changes to the same tickets.

“project management powerhouse”

Pros

There's a wide range of functionality here and it works really well not just for developers but for managers too. It handles both large projects and smaller day-to-day tasks without any trouble which makes it a very capable tool overall.

Cons

Getting started does require some training before you can use the tool effectively.

“organized workflow”

Pros

Everything is laid out in a very organized way so our team can quickly see exactly what we need. Moving a task from one stage to another is simple and we can also build graphs to track our current progress.

Cons

One thing missing is dates for changes made to tickets. At times, it's also not very clear who actually made those updates.

“migration feels awkward”

Pros

The roadmap, backlog and board tools in the next-gen Kanban template are put together really well. They make it simple to present plans and ideas to a team in a clear organized way. You can set deadlines, assign priority levels, choose issue types and cover just about every detail you'd expect from a project planning setup.

Cons

One frustrating problem came up when I needed to switch my Kanban template over to next-gen Kanban to access more features. There was no option to convert my existing project so I ended up having to copy everything over manually, one item at a time. That feels pretty strange for such a large company not to offer. I'm hoping they add that soon. On top of that, the way it integrates with Confluence has been inconsistent. I've had times when my Confluence pages didn't appear in my IT project which makes keeping track of information much harder than it should be.

“helpful release tracking”

Pros

It's been really helpful for me and my team when it comes to organizing our latest projects and getting our software releases out the door without a lot of hassle.

Cons

Entry-level plan is free which is nice but it only includes 2GB of file storage. We ran out of space pretty quickly and ended up having to move to a paid upgrade.

“custom workflows”

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how the epics, issues and workflow stages are organized. The historical trail is probably the most valuable part for me, with comments, attachments, labels and everything else captured in one place. Scheduled tickets that run automatically, the option to connect items through specific relationships and the overall flexibility make it really impressive. Since the structure is customizable, it fits a lot of different use cases, from renewing subscriptions and tracking physical assets to managing ongoing tasks and larger projects or initiatives.

Cons

Interface is pretty minimal and because of that I've seen some coworkers not connect with it right away. That said, with a bit of effort, you can still build useful visualizations on the dashboard.

“great collaboration tool”

Pros

After using this tool for more than two years, I'm really glad we chose it. It lets us create projects, invite customers and work together so both sides can manage everything effectively. We can also break the work down into tasks which helps a lot.

Cons

We're happy with the tool overall though in the beginning we ran into a few basic issues. Once we started using it daily, those problems were resolved. Also, if you want to handle more projects, you'll need to upgrade to a higher plan.

“packed with options”

Pros

There are tons of features and different ways to manage projects. You can mention people on tasks, use stories and support a lot of team members working across different projects at the same time.

Cons

It still has a few annoyances, there's no dark mode, it can feel confusing now and then and when I'm mentioned on a project task, it doesn't automatically add me as a watcher.

“sprint tracking done right”

Pros

Getting started with it is easy and it works really well for launching sprints and keeping track of tickets in an agile workflow.

Cons

If a sprint ends up with a large number of stories, the view can occasionally feel a bit cluttered and less clear.
