agile workflow win

Pros

With multiple Agile projects running at once, this tool makes it really simple to manage everything and keep a close eye on progress.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into many downsides. The only thing I noticed is that once we began working with SAFe, it didn't feel as simple as I had hoped.

widely adopted

Pros

Almost every software company and engineer is already familiar with it or has used it before so bringing someone new onto the team is very easy. People can usually jump in right away without needing any real training which makes onboarding much faster.

Cons

Performance has become a real issue lately and both it and Confluence feel extremely slow at times. The per-user billing model can also add up quickly and lead to a pretty expensive monthly cost. On top of that, the business center side doesn't seem to evolve much with built-in improvements since it depends heavily on third-party plugins that often come with extra charges.

SDLC visibility hub

Pros

Keeping full visibility on cards across the entire SDLC has been a big advantage. The platform is user-friendly and helps us simplify both planning and execution during the development cycle. Its customizable boards and workflows make it possible to keep everything we need in one central place inside the tool.

Cons

I've worked with a few other tools before, like Trello though not deeply enough to make a detailed comparison across every feature. Overall, the experience has been very positive, with only a handful of small frustrations tied to certain custom filters and workflows set up internally and nothing significant enough to make me consider switching to another product.

helpful task tracking

Pros

Tracking of task progress across the company has been much more organized with this platform. My team has been using it for quite some time and it has become part of our weekly meetings for assigning work to teammates and reviewing the status of ongoing tasks. It's also useful that it shows progress updates through a timeline and includes a comment section for discussion and follow-ups.

Cons

Interface could definitely use some improvement in terms of look and feel. Even though the platform is very simple to use, its overall design can come across as a bit dull at times.

development tracking powerhouse

Pros

It comes with a wide variety of features and you can connect multiple tools to track development from different angles. It also supports integrating your VCS which makes the whole workflow more connected and useful.

Cons

There are so many things included that it can be difficult for users to understand at first.

clear team alignment

Pros

Using this has made collaboration much more transparent for the whole team. Once a project is set up in the system, everyone stays on the same page and it cuts down a lot of back-and-forth communication which saves time.

Cons

Add-on features could be made more appealing especially if there were a few built-in options available to choose from.

feature-rich tracking

Pros

There's a lot built into it which is a big plus. Keeping track of all my work is very manageable, I get notifications for every task and the burndown charts and reporting are some of the strongest parts of the product.

Cons

At times it feels a bit awkward to work with and it can take some time to understand how to move things around or figure out where everything is.

issue tracking and reporting

Pros

Using it day to day has been really good. It's easy to work with and estimating issues as well as tracking their progress is very convenient. Logging time and checking how much time was spent on each project can be done quickly which helps a lot. Exporting reports is also efficient especially with the issue details and the different filter options available.

Cons

Since the new interface was introduced, I've been running into a problem when creating new subtasks from epics. I'm not able to enter the description before assigning the issue to an assignee which makes that part of the workflow frustrating.

cross-team visibility

Pros

Working with this product has made collaboration across different departments much more easy. Our technical teams rely on it for all of their projects and the rest of the organization can clearly see when each item is scheduled to be released publicly.

Cons

Getting to certain tickets can be frustrating unless I already know the exact project title. There are several filters available but the search function still feels less simple than it should.

student task tracking

Pros

One feature that really helps is being able to create tasks for my students to work on. I can organize the work properly, put my effort into planning it and then track everything using the estimated start and end times.

Cons

Only thing I haven't been able to find is a mobile app that lets me connect to the dashboards and work from there.

centralized alerts and tracking

Pros

Having all feature requests and bug reports collected in one place is really useful. Once I submit a ticket, I don't have to keep checking back manually because the system emails me automatically whenever something changes, like when someone gets assigned or the status is updated. The Zendesk integration is another big plus since I can open a ticket directly from a member's email.

Cons

Navigating the program can be challenging because there's so much in it so it's pretty easy to lose your way. On top of that, submitting bug reports or feature requests feels tedious since the ticket form takes a while to fill out.

project planning hub

Pros

Absolutely love using it. This project management system keeps my work organized and helps me stay on top of everything. I'm able to collaborate with teams, set up projects with timelines, track hours and handle a lot more in one place.

Cons

The downside is that getting everything set up at the beginning takes a lot of time for my role. We already don't have many hours available to spend on configuring projects at work.

quick to learn

Pros

There are plenty of management tools available but this one really stands apart. It's very simple to use and the learning curve isn't steep at all so getting started doesn't take much effort.

Cons

It comes with a lot of add-ons although they don't really hurt the overall user experience. That said, it does consume browser resources and can occasionally slow down the development process.

dashboard win

Pros

Having every issue visible on a single dashboard made a big difference. It simplified handing off tasks to lower management and turned out to be an excellent tool for managing projects overall.

Cons

I haven't run into anything negative. Everything about the software has worked perfectly for me and I can't think of anything I disliked or would want less of.

workflows and reporting

Pros

Being able to manage separate projects and sub-projects in one system gives this tool a lot of flexibility. It's convenient to create multiple tickets and assign them to different projects without needing to jump into each project portal first. Reporting has also been fairly simple to build and that has been especially helpful on integrated projects when comparing estimated time from earlier sprints against development timelines for other projects. Another strong point is how customizable the tickets are, from their layout to editable fields and workflows so they can be adjusted to fit the team or the specific project.

Cons

That same flexibility can also be the frustrating part because the settings are scattered in so many places. I often have to rely on the knowledge base to figure out how to configure custom options, whether that involves ticket fields, workflow rules, automations or other system settings. The default end-user interface is not especially simple either and some parts can feel confusing depending on the team. For example, a ticket can be marked as closed while the resolution still has separate statuses like do or don't do which tends to make more sense for software development teams than for others. New projects usually need a lot of customization, whether they are for project managers, agile development teams or integrated project groups. From an administrator's perspective, that can make it challenging to explain the setup to end users who just want a easy way to track their work. It really takes strong communication with users to configure the project around their needs and make the overall IT experience better.

engineering leader

Pros

When it comes to supporting the software engineering process, no other tool really matches the functionality this one offers. It clearly stands out as the leader in the market.

Cons

One frustration is that the user interface gets changed fairly often and those updates sometimes remove helpful features or make the editing workflow more confusing.

task and document hub

Pros

Between the day-to-day usability and the range of things it lets you do, it adds a lot of value to daily work. As an active Atlassian and Confluence user, I rely on both platforms to keep tasks, requests and documentation organized, follow processes across a large company and quickly access the information I need.

Cons

One area that still needs work is Confluence's overall UX and UI. I'd really prefer it to feel more simple and user-friendly.

Great tool

Pros

Getting started with it was pretty easy and the interface is simple to navigate. Setup didn't take much effort and it works really well with the other tools we already use across the organization.

Cons

Buying and implementing the platform can be expensive although I still feel the value justifies the cost. The mobile app also falls short compared with the desktop version.
