handy user stories

Pros

Being free is a big plus even though it looks like some add-ons will cost extra later. I've worked with four other software tools and this one has been the simplest to use by far. It's also the most easy to teach to junior testers and it works really well for writing up user stories.

Cons

Accessing the main area can be a bit awkward at times. There are also too many different places where bugs can be entered which makes the process feel messy and leaves too much room for other people to change things.

feature-packed and friendly

Pros

Using this has been pretty easy and it comes with plenty of useful features for reporting bugs. I can include version details, screenshots, attachments and all the important information related to an issue which makes tracking and explaining problems much better.

Cons

One thing that feels lacking is the highlighting and formatting inside the description field. The styling also isn't very polished so better colors and richer formatting options would really help when trying to emphasize specific points.

custom reports and alerts

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how it can generate reports and dashboards based on filter settings that I can define myself. That flexibility makes it much easier to track exactly what I need. It also automatically sends notice emails to the relevant people which is very helpful for keeping everyone informed without extra manual work.

Cons

The search feature still needs improvement. Right now, when I search for a keyword, it returns every item containing that word. It would be much better if there were options to narrow the search by domain or category, such as searching within a single project or even limiting it to issues only inside that project.

all testing in one place

Pros

Having everything in one place really helps, test cases, test plans and bugs are all centralized which makes tracking and managing work much more convenient.

Cons

When our company migrated from Server to Cloud, TM4J didn't support exporting Cycles and Plans. Because of that, only the test cases were transferred while the test plans and cycles were left behind.

safe uploads and tracking

Pros

Right from the interface, ALM felt well designed and pleasant to use. The flowcharts and graphs are easy to follow which makes understanding the workflow much simpler. It's a very user-friendly application overall. Over the past 2 years, I've used ALM to submit my daily status and uploading data has always been simple and secure. It also comes with plenty of plugins and tracking day-to-day activities is very convenient.

Cons

I haven't come across any downsides. It's one of the best tools I've used for tracking the status of activities and tasks.

packed with features

Pros

Using it feels very easy and the real-time email alerts are a big plus. It comes with a ton of features and functionality and getting things done in it is quick.

Cons

Most add-on features tend to be built as custom options so they usually come at an extra cost.

project oversight hub

Pros

It works really well for managing projects across multiple teams and departments in larger organizations. Having all the data and files kept in one central place is a big advantage and searching through everything is pretty convenient.

Cons

Getting started isn't very simple and it can take some time to understand how it works. That said, once you get familiar with the core principles behind it, it becomes a very powerful project management tool.

parallel sprints and filters

Pros

Being able to use releases and versions has been a big help for our team especially since we're handling multiple efforts at the same time with the same people. Parallel sprints are just as valuable because our team is lean and we need to keep moving on new product features while also taking care of polishing work and bug fixes at the same time. Custom filters are probably my favorite feature of all.

Cons

One thing that's frustrating is that some smaller pieces of functionality have been pulled out and turned into separate products. Those add-ons now cost extra so to access features that used to feel like part of the platform, you have to make additional purchases, such as Pages.

project tracking powerhouse

Pros

Across our project management work, this has become the core tool we rely on to track and monitor daily activities. It feels reliable, simple and it has made a noticeable difference in the team's productivity. It's easy to use and right out of the box it works exactly as expected without much effort.

Cons

One thing I'd still want is more flexibility around automation options and API control. Overall, it does the job well but in a CI/CD environment it could use more attention if you plan to automate more of the workflow.

agile tracking that works

Pros

Keeping tabs on progress in an agile setup is much more manageable with this software. It lets us break Sprints down into smaller, realistic tasks and create reports that show how those Sprints are moving along. The bug tracking side is also very approachable since developers and QA team members can quickly update an issue's status to match the actual work completed.

Cons

Its biggest weakness is performance. When the network bandwidth is only average, using the software becomes difficult because the UI does not load all tasks or issues on the screen right away. On slower connections even editing a task or issue turns into a frustrating and time-consuming process.

kanban visibility win

Pros

Hands down, the biggest advantage is how easy the Kanban board is to use. It lays out tasks in the categories we've created and it gives a really clear snapshot of who is working on what, where bottlenecks are happening and how to shift work to team members who have more capacity. On top of that, the mobile app is nearly on par with the web version in both usability and functionality which makes it very convenient.

Cons

One downside is that it can consume quite a bit of memory or bandwidth when boards become too large which leads to lag and sometimes errors where items get dropped into the wrong bucket. A better truncation system would probably help reduce those issues.

boards and agile flow

Pros

Right away, this software stands out because it offers a lot of useful features that support day-to-day work. You can set up separate boards for different needs and each board can hold its own tickets. It fits agile development really well since the boards and tickets make it simple to track daily progress, see what has already been completed and understand what is currently in progress. Another big advantage is the integration with Confluence which lets you create documentation there and attach those links directly to tickets. That way, anyone reviewing a ticket can quickly open the related Confluence document. It's also highly configurable so you can extend its use even further, such as sending notifications to a specific Slack channel or by email whenever a ticket status changes. Overall, it can handle a lot and is genuinely very helpful for a software company.

Cons

Every time I come across another feature, I end up being even more impressed by what this software can do. It covers everything I need and honestly, I really enjoy using it. At this point, there isn't anything I dislike about it.

plugins for product teams

Pros

It handles even some of the strangest product development requirements really well and there's also a huge plugin library. I regularly rely on the Test Scenario testing tool in my workflow.

Cons

At times, it feels overloaded with features and there are multiple ways to accomplish the same task which can make it harder to use than it should be. Version updates also tend to leave older support articles outdated so they're not always useful anymore.

widely adopted

Pros

Because it's so widely used, most people already know their way around it which makes adoption very easy. It's also flexible enough to be tailored to support nearly any project delivery workflow.

Cons

It can feel a little expensive when you only have a small team although the cost tends to balance out better as you scale. The extra add-ons can also get somewhat pricey.

Simple tracking features

Pros

After spending a little time with it, this has turned out to be a really great tool for project tracking. Things like notifications, updating task statuses and using the search feature all feel very simple.

Cons

It does take some time to learn certain parts of the system. One example is navigating reports from past sprints. The report link itself is simple enough to locate but switching between completed sprints took some digging because the sprint name is quite small and not very noticeable.

reliable server protection

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how effectively this software detects bugs, alerts our team and helps clear them out. We ran into major server issues a few times before bringing it in but since then, whenever something comes up, we can address it fast without creating much downtime for employees.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about it. It has completely changed how we manage operations and has given us a much stronger sense of security when it comes to keeping our servers running.

boosts productivity

Pros

Having this company-provided platform in place lets me get exactly what I need and that really helps me stay productive throughout the day and focus on what I want to accomplish.

Cons

I'd still love to see more customization for a more convenient integration. I use it with three additional platforms but since the symbols all look the same, I have to double-check everything before transferring it over.

great across teams

Pros

One thing I appreciate is how well it works with a wide range of software used by different departments in our company and the integration options are really helpful.

Cons

The interface could be more user-friendly, in my opinion. It sometimes takes a little too much searching to find exactly what you need.

clear boards and integrations

Pros

No matter the size of your team, it gives you a clear overview of every request. You can set up multiple projects and keep separate boards for each one which makes it simple to track how many tickets belong to each project. The integration with third-party software is also really strong.

Cons

I can't point to any real downside. I've already used it at two different companies with different third-party tools and it worked well for everyone involved, from developers and operations to marketing and even finance.

project management powerhouse

Pros

It's one of the most complete project management apps out there, with countless integrations and every kind of reporting feature which is why so many enterprises prefer it.

Cons

Because it's such a large, powerful and powerful platform, it takes time to learn and that can make the first experience a bit frustrating.
