great sprint companion

Pros

Among the tools available for user story and feature tracking during software development, this is one of the best especially when the team works in a Sprint-based cycle. It lets you organize functionality clearly through Epics and stories and developers can break those down into subtasks and follow progress feature by feature.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have any complaints about this software. It has been very helpful for developers when it comes to creating burndown charts and tracking story points and time without any hassle.

huge potential

Pros

This tool is honestly impressive. The depth of its functionality and the amount of features it offers really stand out. Once you truly understand everything it can do, you start to see it in a completely different way. That said, it's important to carefully plan the rollout, involve every department from the start and make sure all integrations are properly set up.

Cons

At the start, it can feel pretty overwhelming. There's a lot to take in and it takes time to understand what you're doing and how big the platform really is. The first few months can be frustrating but that really comes down to the learning curve.

organized task tracking

Pros

Keeping tasks, bugs and story-related issues in one place has really helped my team stay organized. It gives us a professional way to assign work, report problems and keep track of what is happening as we move through assigned stories. Another thing I appreciate is that everyone across the organization can see the issues connected to a task and follow the progress timeline clearly.

Cons

It is definitely very structured and well organized which I understand has its value. Still, I sometimes prefer just telling my teammates directly about the problems I'm running into instead of having to log everything as a ticket in the system.

clear project visibility

Pros

Managers and contributors can quickly tell where a project stands at any moment. Although it was originally built with IT and development teams in mind, it adapts really well to pretty much any industry.

Cons

One limitation is that tasks are assigned to only one person by default. That approach makes sense on paper but when a task is actually shared between two people, it has to be duplicated so reporting reflects it properly.

sprint planning powerhouse

Pros

There's a lot of flexibility to tailor issue types and shape the tool around your own agile workflow. It also comes with strong out-of-the-box features for planning and managing sprints, along with the core scrum and kanban metrics and reporting you'd expect.

Cons

One downside is that performance over a VPN especially in remote locations or on slower connections, can get bad enough to make the software basically unusable.

great task platform

Pros

It's a great platform for handling tasks and keeping up with their progress. Creating tasks, assigning them to people and moving around the system is easy.

Cons

Where it comes up short is in adding links cleanly, connecting tasks or setting dependencies and tracking data and overall progress. Compared with other tools like Wrike, the feature set feels more limited.

reporting and dashboards

Pros

Having multiple reporting options is really useful and the dashboards can be customized to clearly show the status of each ticket. The system is user-friendly overall and does a good job of keeping everything organized and on track.

Cons

Looking up tickets takes a bit of getting used to since the search function isn't always very simple at first. After using it a few times though, it starts to make more sense.

centralized ticketing

Pros

As our primary tool for submitting job tickets, this has made a big difference. I work in advertising and before this, copy requests coming in through email were tough to keep organized. The interface is user-friendly and having all of your work, whether it's pending or already in progress, visible right in front of you makes staying on top of things much easier.

Cons

Like most software, there's a bit of an adjustment when you're using it for the first time so it can feel slightly awkward at first. It can also get a little confusing when several users are on the same page especially when you're scrolling through trying to find your own work.

better issue visibility

Pros

Compared with juggling updates over email and face-to-face conversations, this works really well for tracking day-to-day issues inside the organization. We deal with a lot of small daily problems and without a proper system it's hard to follow progress and easy to lose momentum on the topic. Using this software makes those issues much easier to monitor and adds a lot more visibility to the overall process.

Cons

The user interface could be improved by reducing the number of input fields.

Great for task tracking and kanban

Pros

The way it structures tasks and numbers them works really well. Being able to connect items, build stories and create links between things is really useful. It does an excellent job of helping keep work organized and on track. The Kanban boards are also fantastic for monitoring progress and seeing where everything stands.

Cons

If you are not a developer, the amount of features and options can feel overwhelming and it is easy to lose your way. There is so much customization available that, personally, I sometimes end up feeling a bit confused. I have used it at my company and in other companies as well and the setups were completely different so you end up having to relearn a lot each time.

organized backlogs and epics

Pros

One thing that really works well is how clearly I can view issues and keep everything organized with tags, epics and other labels. The backlog is laid out in a very organized way so it's simple to keep track of what's going on. Adding screenshots also helps a lot because other people can quickly understand exactly what I'm referring to in an issue. On top of that, setting up releases and grouping work into epics is very easy.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of anything about the software that I dislike.

great team organization

Pros

This has been amazing for our team. It keeps everything organized and helps us stay on track so projects are delivered on time. Even though we probably only use around 10% of the available features, it still feels well worth the money we spend on it.

Cons

One part that still gives me trouble is the admin area because the screens are really hard to navigate. The permission settings are also very complicated and every time a new user needs to be added, I end up having to relearn the whole process.

ticketing gold standard

Pros

Honestly, I can't think of another option in this category that's as broadly adopted. It really feels like the gold standard to me.

Cons

The newer interface feels a bit too stripped down and some features are tucked away enough that they're hard to find. On top of that, when a ticket change can't be made, it's not always obvious why so clearer feedback or better error messages would definitely help.

project tracking upgrade

Pros

Without a doubt, this is the most capable project management platform I've used. The automatic ticket numbering, GitHub integration and easy Confluence linking are all must-have features for a development team. The updated interface is also a very welcome step up from the previous version.

Cons

My only real complaint is the pricing. It works well for smaller teams but as soon as your team grows even a bit, the cost increases dramatically.

feature-rich platform

Pros

There's room to capture a lot of detail for every issue which is definitely useful. It also comes packed with a long list of features so there's plenty available to work with.

Cons

At the same time, it doesn't feel especially innovative to me. With Agile development changing how teams work, this space seems wide open for something more disruptive. A more original way to store, track, manage and report on bugs and fixes still feels possible and this product isn't that answer. Maybe something better already exists but I haven't come across it.

packed with features

Pros

Every day I seem to come across another feature I hadn't noticed before which has been a really pleasant surprise. I've only been using it for a few months and during that time it's been amazing with how much it offers and how often I keep learning something new.

Cons

It isn't quite as simple or easy as some other boards out there but it's definitely far more powerful. Spending a little time with the guides would really help when it comes to understanding some of the features.

custom workflows

Pros

It's been flexible enough for us to tailor it around our business model, both for internal operations and the way we work with clients. That customization has made a big difference. One example is the highly refined SEO content management system we run in it for every client. Because of that setup, a lot of manual work has been cut out and our team can spend more time on the tasks that actually matter.

Cons

The admin side especially when it comes to setting up global rules across the whole company, takes quite a while to learn and really get the hang of.

Pros

agile team integrations

Pros

One of the best parts is how well it connects with just about every other tool you already use. Their other products fit into it really naturally. Confluence, for instance, works really well as a home for documentation and linking those docs directly to IT projects is convenient. It also gives you several ways to monitor projects and tie individual tasks back to specific sprints.

Cons

It's not a very good fit for anyone outside of product or tech roles. The platform is built heavily around sprint-based work so if your team doesn't use Agile, it probably won't suit your project management style very well. In my case, I work in marketing and communications, where a lot of projects revolve around fixed deadlines instead of sprints. Because of that organizing work by due date is difficult and that makes the software frustrating for the way I need to use it.
