company-wide issue tracking

Pros

Among the issue tracking tools I know, this one offers the broadest functionality and it can be customized to fit needs across the whole company. We actually rely on it for much more than engineering, HR and even building maintenance use it too and it works really well for all of those teams.

Cons

One downside, possibly related to the fact that we run the server version instead of the cloud version, is that the interface feels outdated. The code highlighting also leaves a lot to be desired.

ticket alerts that help

Pros

One of the best parts for me is the automatic notification whenever anything changes on a ticket. That makes it much easier to keep customers informed about the work we're doing and any updates along the way.

Cons

At times, the search bar can be a little tricky when I'm trying to locate something but if I remember the right keywords, I'm usually able to find it again.

fast agile queries

Pros

What really helps is how quickly the query feature pulls the data I need based on exactly what I'm looking for. Managing user stories and assigning tasks also feels very convenient. The dashboards give a clear picture of where the project stands which makes it easier to respond and make decisions. I'd definitely recommend this tool to teams that want to work in a more agile way.

Cons

The UI is nice and fairly simple to navigate but editing or updating existing issues can be frustrating at times. I'd also love the option to capture a full snapshot of the project after each sprint for deeper data analysis and that feature isn't available right now.

real-time tracking power

Pros

Everything is easy to use and it gives direct, simple yet complete information for handling issue-related work. The updates are real-time and accurate and it's really helpful that I can attach almost anything, including files, images and screenshots. If I enter the wrong information by mistake, it's simple to edit and adjust later. The clone feature also saves time because I can copy one item to another and the move option is useful too. I also appreciate the step-by-step transition from testing to development, plus the flexibility to open it on either a local server or a remote server.

Cons

One downside is that information can be deleted too easily which means retyping everything again if an error happens. When that kind of mistake occurs, putting all the details back takes extra time. The word limit per column can also feel restrictive. On top of that, it sometimes hangs while I'm working on something especially when the internet connection is slow.

flexible planning tools

Pros

From a project planning and management standpoint, this software is very powerful. It comes with plenty of customizable options and that flexibility makes it useful for handling a wide range of tasks.

Cons

Performance can be pretty laggy at times. The search feature also has a bit of a learning curve so it takes a while to get comfortable with how it works.

highly configurable platform

Pros

The platform feels very powerful, offers a wide range of features and can be configured to fit your company's specific needs.

Cons

Getting around it can be complicated and it takes quite a bit of time to figure out how to make updates. The overall design could be more simple and some of the changes feel fairly drastic.

daily defect tracking

Pros

Every day we rely on this for defect tracking and it fits well into our workflow. The Support team can submit tickets, follow their progress and keep clients informed with updates along the way.

Cons

At times, finding the right query to pull the exact list of tickets I need can be a bit tricky. I still end up asking for help pretty often ,)

priority tracking made easy

Pros

It's been really helpful for keeping up with the current work in progress especially when we need to stay focused on what should be prioritized first.

Cons

There's a slight learning curve at the beginning so it can take a little time to fully get comfortable with how it works.

kanban workflow flexibility

Pros

One of the biggest strengths is the ticket management especially being able to set up custom workflows for each project. It fits nicely with agile ways of working and the integrations with tools like email and Slack make day-to-day collaboration much better. The Kanban functionality is also a big plus.

Cons

A downside is that some important features come at an extra cost and not every organization will be willing to pay for those add-ons.

top project management choice

Pros

After trying several project management tools, this one stands out as the best by a wide margin.

Cons

Every now and then it goes down but it's usually only for about an hour so not a big deal.

team collaboration boost

Pros

Having incident management, asset management and project management together in one platform really helped our organization work more cohesively and collaborate better. It's especially useful that the knowledge base is built in and projects can be linked directly to incidents so there's always a clear point of reference. Setup was easy and the workflow works really well too.

Cons

I honestly didn't run into any real downsides. The only thing some people might mention is that the IT incident management module still feels fairly new and could use a bit more development.

Comment tracking and usability issues

Pros

It does a really good job of helping teams create, track and close tickets and projects efficiently. You can set up a workflow that fits your needs, keep all communication together in one place and attach all the necessary documents right where the work is happening. The platform feels simple overall and works especially well for collaboration.

Cons

One issue is that comments can sometimes be overlooked especially when someone is not tagged directly. It is also not immediately clear how to handle certain task actions, such as reopening a ticket so there is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning.

team tracking hub

Pros

Across the team, it makes it possible to create and track bugs, tasks and new feature development in one place. Because of that, you get a clear high-level view of the work assigned to each resource and can monitor overall progress much more effectively.

Cons

It offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to adding or removing features and building workflows but that flexibility can sometimes make things feel complicated. Better onboarding or direct training from it would really help new users get up to speed.

flexible issue management

Pros

The part I appreciate most is how many ways there are to assign or resolve issues, along with the ability to customize the different fields to fit our process.

Cons

The only problem I've run into is the occasional hiccup with custom workflow options. In a few situations, issues had to be reopened or pushed through a complicated chain of assignments before they would show the correct status.

strong suite but complex setup

Pros

When it's used alongside other products, it really feels like a powerful all-in-one suite. That combination makes a lot of financial sense and having everything under one ecosystem also helps simplify support. It gives the team great visibility into the project roadmap which is genuinely useful and I also really appreciate how customizable the ticket view is for my team's specific workflow.

Cons

Getting it into a truly user-friendly state takes a lot of effort. It's definitely a powerful tool but unlocking that power requires a pretty heavy setup process. I'm not convinced that smaller businesses will always find that extra work worth it especially when tools like ClickUp or PivotalTracker may be simpler to get going with. Search is also not as simple or effective as I expected and we ran into some limitations around the single-assignee restriction.

Pros

This software has been excellent for staying on top of heavy workloads. Our team recently began using it within our sprint cycles and it has made a huge difference to productivity.

workflow flexibility

Pros

Flexibility is honestly incredible. You can tailor your IT environment so it fits the way your team works without friction. If separate teams prefer different workflows, the software gives you plenty of room to support that without forcing everyone into the same setup.

Cons

One downside is that it's very possible to configure it the wrong way if you're not careful. If you plan to roll this out at work, it's worth having someone experienced handle the setup. Once everything is configured properly though, it works really well.

clean and detailed UX

Pros

Right away, this product feels very easy to use. The details are presented clearly and the UX is very clean for a software platform.

Cons

The only drawback is that there's no way to extract your backlog for reporting. Aside from that, this software really delivers.

marketing team fit

Pros

Our marketing team works with more of an "agile light" approach to project management. We run sprints on the same rhythm as the design and product teams even though we do not estimate or point tickets. Since those teams already rely on it, using the same tool was an obvious choice for us.

Cons

Because it was clearly designed by developers with developers in mind, it can be a little hard for more creative users to get comfortable with at first. Still, the Next-Gen version feels much more approachable and business-friendly.
