Jira is OK but not great

Pros

Once properly configured, Jira works well for managing products.

Cons

Configuring the project, boards and workflows is very complicated for me, and some actions take a long time to reflect changes.

Effective but sometimes can be a little complex

Pros

I think Jira flexibility and customization options are fantastic. It really lets our team tailor the workflow to fit our specific needs which makes project management and tracking pretty quick and accurate.

Cons

The learning curve quite steep. It takes a while to grasp all its features and new users or might find it overwhelming at first, as they have reported.

Wonderful application!

Pros

Manage our agiel development workflow

Pros

I really like the good connectivity between items like epics and user stories. Overall, it meets the basic needs for R&D management and product collaboration.

Cons

After using it I come to a conclusion that many simple activities have a poor user experience and are hard to use quickly. The filters are not intuitive and navigation between different screens is not clear. The UI looks outdated and lacks many capabilities that would make a product managers work easier.

Good product and proven

Pros

I liked task management the best and even overall its a great tool too. I would definitely recommend it for small to medium-sized enterprises.

Cons

The cost is way too high for many smaller companies to invest in.

excellent resource for agile teams

Pros

Jira helps my team collaborate by letting us prioritize projects and issues, track the time spent on them and use the comments area. Dashboards give me a high level view of the projects status. Different statuses, like new, resolved, testing and fixing, show the current stage of each issue.

Cons

From my experience, I have noticed that the central UI and data structure are slow and lack context. It feels outdated and has low acceptance rates among my colleagues. Supervisors might log items in the system but continue using Google Docs for tracking, leading to data fragmentation. To me, this suggests it is not quite suitable for our needs.

Jira - Track everything, manage everything

Pros

I like the fact that I can create, update, track and manage issues (tasks, bugs, enhancements, etc.) all in one platform. It makes Jira a must have for project management professionals.

Cons

When dealing with a huge amount of data, I find JIRA can be a bit slow performance-wise, and the user interface sometimes feels cluttered. However, despite these issues it remains a wonderful and essential tool.

Pros

I find the search function helpful for easily finding or narrowing down to the right tickets. Both basic and advanced search options are user-friendly and the advanced search handles long and specific queries well.

Cons

I find that attachments cannot be renamed or commented on, which can make things a bit disorganized when there are many attachments in a ticket.

Powerful and complete Project Management and issue tracking tool

Pros

I find Jira very useful due to its scalability which makes it suitable for companies of various sizes. Its automation features help reduce manual tasks and it integrates well with other third-party software and has good reporting features.

Cons

My Experience using JIRA at my work

Pros

What I like most about Jira is its ability to create projects and then add different tasks to them. This way, I can track what we are doing now and what we plan to do in the future. Also Jira helps me track all the work my team is doing, which is a really convenient way to keep track of everything.

Cons

I find that some features and uses of Jira can be too complex for new users to understand. It might take people some time to get used to it.
