Feature-rich task planning

Pros

There's a lot built into this tool which I really appreciate. Things like opening tasks, working with specific boards and having separate management for each section make it very capable and flexible.

Cons

At times some features can be a bit confusing and it's possible to click the wrong action. For example, when trying to change a task's status, you might accidentally mark it as resolved instead.

Better visuals needed

Pros

The visual updates in Book it Cloud have made a real difference and the platform feels much more user-friendly because of them.

Cons

One thing I'd really like to see is a desktop version of the software so checking off tasks is more convenient, similar to Bee before it was discontinued. The web version can feel awkward, slow and harder to move around in so a desktop app would speed up productivity a lot.

Clear project roadmap

Pros

Coming from Monday.com, this tool feels much more direct and less cluttered. Monday.com has plenty of bells and whistles but what I really value here is how quickly I can get to what matters. I can set up a board, add child issues and check my roadmap without any hassle. The roadmap is easily my favorite part. Being able to see all of my projects in one place and color-code them by category gives me a fast, high-level view of the bigger priorities I should be paying attention to. In project management there's a saying about "swallowing the frog," meaning you tackle the hardest task first and this software genuinely helps me do that every day.

Cons

There really aren't many downsides with this app. Compared with Monday.com, I do wish it offered a few more features even though it is very user-friendly. At this point, I've mostly been using it to manage my own personal projects. With Monday.com, I used a mix of personal work and more collaborative projects involving other people. While this software does let you assign tasks to people within a child issue, keeping track of those assignments can be a bit tricky.

Excellent booking experience

Pros

I appreciate its customizable workflows, support for multiple ticket types and flexible ticket management that works well across different SDLC methodologies.

Cons

Agile board is unable to handle a bulk volume of tickets but overall a great tool.

Workflow flexibility and plugins

Pros

Whether the team is using Agile, Kanban or a waterfall approach, the product can be customized to fit just about any software development setup. Different roles can be assigned to team members and workflows can be tailored based on the specific needs of each project. There are also plenty of plugins available to extend functionality, including options for test case management and execution tracking. The ability to add multiple tags across different types of entities is especially helpful.

Cons

The pricing gets quite expensive once a larger number of users need access. The user interface also feels lacking and the timesheet feature is not very good.

Better team visibility

Pros

After switching from a web-based issue and task tracking system, the difference was obvious. Our previous setup caused a lot of communication issues, user access mistakes and general frustration. Since moving to this software, the experience has been much better for everyone on the team. It feels more user-friendly and simpler to work with than the web-based tools we used before.

Cons

Biggest downside is the cost. It's one of the more expensive options in this category so it's really something only larger companies can comfortably afford.

Automation across teams

Pros

One of the best parts is how much paperwork and documentation flow you can build and automate with it. It does an amazing job of bringing different teams and functions together so integration across the organization feels really strong.

Cons

At the same time, it can be a bit difficult for users who are less experienced to handle at first. There's definitely a learning curve before everything starts to feel comfortable.

Dashboard flexibility

Pros

Setting up dashboards is really simple and there are plenty of options available to choose from.

Cons

One thing missing is that when a subtask is completed, the progress on the main task doesn't get updated or shown.

Workflow customization

Pros

Building processes and setting up efficient workflows for my team is a big part of what I do and this tool really helped with that. I was able to tailor the way I work so tracking progress and reporting against objectives became much more organized. It honestly made day-to-day work a lot more manageable for me.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit overwhelming because the learning curve is fairly steep at first. Still, once you spend more time with it and pick up tips and knowledge from others, it becomes much easier to understand and use well.

Team workload tracking

Pros

The program works really well and gives a clear view of ongoing issues and how much work the team still has left. That visibility makes it much easier to stay on top of deadlines and get everything completed on time.

Cons

It can feel overwhelming because the tasks and setup seem quite complex at first which may confuse some users. On top of that, the interface feels outdated and that can slow things down during daily use.

Boards and support portal

Pros

Its flexibility is what makes it stand out for me. It works really well whether I'm using boards and features for AGILE or SCRUM project management or just organizing tickets and assigning tasks to myself or other teammates. I also really appreciate the support desk side of it. With the portal I set up, customers can submit issues directly through the system, I get notified right away and can handle them as soon as possible or they are automatically created as tickets/issues for me to work on when I'm available. If needed, I can also pass the task to someone else or route it to another department.

Cons

They've definitely improved it over time but one minor issue I've had is that it can still feel slow at times. When a project or board has a large number of issues or tickets, loading can take a while and certain actions may feel sluggish, fail to respond or bug out altogether. Another thing that used to bother me although it has been improved a lot in the recent redesigns, was how some important features were tucked away inside the (...) menu when there used to be dedicated buttons for them, like moving or closing issues. They've since changed that but I'm still not sure why they made that decision in the first place.

Pros

Pretty easy to use, with a great range of plugins and reliable integration with other tools.

Cons

The biggest downside is the high cost and the license management process takes a long time because of its limitations.

Dashboard and plugin options

Pros

A big plus is the wide range of customizations and plugins available. We were able to adapt it to our workflow and build dashboards that matched exactly what we needed.

Cons

It can feel a little bulky, with a lot of scripting involved and during peak usage hours it sometimes slows down. We also ran into a situation where some worklogs were lost which was frustrating. On top of that, the GitHub integration is not fully complete and certain features are only available for Bitbucket.

Team workflow hub

Pros

This is an incredibly capable tool for managing projects, products and day-to-day work. It brings teams together really well and makes it very simple to see how work is progressing. The integration triggers for Continuous Integration and code review tools are also a big advantage and they make it feel like an essential platform to have.

Cons

Query system is very powerful but it can become a burden on the server if lots of users start running custom queries with too many fields.

Versatile workflows and dashboards

Pros

It works well for setting up workflows for just about any type of task. Keeping track of tasks is easy, reassigning them to team members is possible whenever needed and having multiple dashboards helps a lot when managing different views of the work.

Cons

Biggest gap is the lack of an iOS app. Also, with so many features packed in, it can feel a little slow at times.

User-friendly bug management

Pros

Getting started with it was very easy. During my first week on the job and my first time using it, I didn't run into any trouble learning how it works. I also really appreciate being able to check the status of a bug ticket at any time.

Cons

My only real issue is that when I create a bug ticket, save it and then go back to edit it, the formatting becomes double-spaced for some reason. If that were fixed, I'd be much happier with it. I'd also prefer it if the system didn't rely on markup language.

Project tracking that delivers

Pros

Keeping team records organized is where this tool really shines. When you log every step planned for a project, including constraints you may not have considered at first, it works very well. It tracks how work forecasts are progressing and gives visibility through dashboards for each small step the developers are handling. In our case, it has been especially helpful for the programming team because we can quickly spot issues or major challenges affecting the timeline and launch a fix right away to keep everything on track.

Cons

I haven't come across anything about it that I dislike.

Visual workflows and tagging

Pros

One of the biggest strengths here is the highly visual interface. It makes it really simple to follow tasks and move through sprints without the frustration of digging around in an old-school, awkward ticketing system. Another feature I genuinely love is being able to tag specific users almost anywhere in the platform. That alone saves a ton of time because of how well notifications are managed both inside the system and outside of it. Working together with a team feels very natural in this tool.

Cons

At the same time, a lot of the features that matter most seem to be getting deprecated over time and the customer service side of the product feels ineffective at best. Some of the strongest capabilities have already been taken away and the top items on their roadmap do not seem to focus on the things that would most improve day-to-day life for users. It feels like part of the company's growing tough spot but it is still frustrating to regularly see business needs not met even after users have spent months asking for very basic features.

Roadmap and agility win

Pros

After using this with one of our clients for nearly 2.5 years, I'd say it comes very close to what a software development team really needs. A self-built PMS based on actual user needs will always feel ideal in theory but among ready-made tools, this is one of the closest fits I've seen for software projects. It handles Agile project management really well and the workflow side of things is very practical. Development processes and continuous integration can be managed without much trouble and linking issues directly with code is especially helpful for software teams. On top of that, the mobile app makes it convenient to access projects from anywhere, the agile reports are useful, roadmaps give a clear picture of current progress and future direction, scrum and kanban boards are both available and time tracking on tasks is another valuable feature.

Cons

It can be difficult to set up and use for people who are not very technical or who haven't worked with PMS tools before. Some new users on our side felt it was fairly complex at first. A big reason for that is how heavily customizable it is which adds flexibility but also makes the system feel a bit overwhelming. Still, from a technical user's perspective, I find it very useful and quite manageable once you get familiar with it.

Sprint and task tracking

Pros

A big advantage of this product is how well it supports project planning from the start. It is highly customizable which makes it easier to adapt to different team needs and workflows. Tracking tasks, sub-tasks and bugs is very convenient and the sprint view gives a clear picture of everything happening across the project. It also helps with estimating both the cost and the time required which is very useful for managing delivery expectations.

Cons

At the moment, one limitation is that the dashboard cannot be exported as a PDF so generating reports is not as convenient as it could be. Another issue is that the button to create a sub-task inside a task story is not very easy to locate.
