Reliable admin dashboards

Pros

Across our organization, this is one of the platforms we rely on the most. I handle the administrative side and also use it day to day to manage different supplies through the system. The dashboards are especially useful because they let us keep track of progress, MEVs and bug-fixing work in one place. It has also been very stable and fast and I haven't run into any malfunctions.

Cons

Some of the administration features can feel a bit tough at times although there's plenty of documentation available online to help.

Real-time tracking win

Pros

Getting notified when tasks are updated or assigned makes it really useful especially since the feedback from other team members comes through almost in real time. I can set up different tasks with their own icons and color coding which helps separate the types of work clearly. There are also priority levels and more advanced task settings that can be attached to each task. Another feature I use a lot is being able to create a task and connect or highlight related tasks, whether they're in progress or already completed, when they have an impact on the current one.

Cons

One thing I haven't noticed is any reminder feature for tasks that sit idle or go without updates for a while after being assigned to someone. If a user misses the original notification, there doesn't seem to be a built-in way to nudge them again so it ends up depending on the project manager to keep checking and following up manually.

Sprint tracking tool

Pros

It's been a really useful tool for project planning and keeping track of progress. Monitoring sprint status is easy and it supports creating different issue types such as epic, story and bug. It also connects well with a test execution tool which makes the workflow even better.

Cons

There honestly isn't much to complain about. I've always had a positive experience with it so I don't really have any meaningful cons to point out.

Detailed bug tools

Pros

The bug filtering options are very detailed and activity tracking is handled really well.

Cons

Searching the database can be confusing for someone new to the system. It would help a lot if they provided a demo or some notes with basic SQL syntax examples.

Better visibility and coordination

Pros

From an end-user standpoint, this software has made it much easier to stay connected with our software and web development teams about what's needed and to get updates back on their progress. I really appreciate being able to see which projects are underway and having that ongoing communication in one place. Since we started using it, our web team has become much more organized and productive. Another big plus is that it works well across different departments so our IT team could benefit from using it too.

Cons

This doesn't come up often but speaking as an end user, I honestly haven't run into any complaints or issues with the software.

Platform with useful plugins

Pros

One thing that really adds value is the wide range of plug-ins available since they can support and benefit almost any type of business. That flexibility also makes it possible to work with other agile frameworks because you can add the needed plug-ins when required.

Cons

One limitation right now is that the burn up chart is available only in the cloud version and not in the standalone version even when both are on the same release. Running SAFe in the platform can also be a bit challenging since it may require installing additional plug-ins although the system is flexible enough to support that setup.

Powerful planning but awkward UI

Pros

It works well as a powerful tool for planning and tracking tasks across distributed teams and it has helped us manage the workload of a large team spread across different locations. A few features are especially useful, such as building a release from tasks, along with the ability to use epics or labels to organize work across sprints. The custom filters are also a strong part of the product and make it much easier to understand sprints, tasks and overall workload.

Cons

At the same time, the interface is confusing and inconsistent, almost like a major redesign was started and never fully finished. Even a common action like viewing the tasks in my current sprint can be done in several different ways and each one follows different conventions and offers different features which makes the experience frustrating. It also misses some functions that feel standard in similar tools. For instance, creating a checklist inside a task requires buying a awkward third-party plugin and there is no built-in way to track assigned versus completed points for individual team members.

Workflows that fit perfectly

Pros

Nearly every process can be adjusted to match exactly how your team works. It may take some time to set up that way but once it's done, the system feels like a really good fit. I also appreciate being able to cut the number of fields down to only the essentials which makes daily use much simpler.

Cons

Setting everything up especially the workflows, can become fairly complicated. On top of that, the cost climbs quickly once you have more than just a few users.

Pros

Having built-in integration with Gerrit, Jenkins and other tools makes this really useful and it's also easy to work with.

Cons

It does take a while to fully understand everything the tool is capable of.

Task links and organization

Pros

Our company first rolled it out to the development team and after that the rest of the staff switched over from Trello as well. One thing I really appreciate is how clearly it shows the relationships between tasks and how well it helps with organizing work. It's convenient to manage everything when each task can include a to-do list, comments and extra files all in one place.

Cons

A few features still feel missing to me especially something as basic as having all the tasks assigned to me gathered in one view. There are also some frustrating quirks, maybe intentional but still annoying, such as not being able to assign more than one owner to a task or move a task directly into the "DONE" section. On top of that, I've also heard the setup process can be fairly complicated.

Lifecycle tracking support

Pros

The CR lifecycle is something I really appreciate because it mirrors the development stages very clearly. The CR history is also very helpful at times when I need to understand the background and context behind an issue.

Cons

At times, the interface feels a bit cluttered, with too much information displayed that probably doesn't need to be visible.

Very user-friendly overall

Pros

Right away, the best part for me was how simple it is to use.

Cons

Licensing could be a bit more affordable although that's not really much of an issue for larger companies.

Reliable management choice

Pros

Day to day, this software has become part of my routine. I'd definitely recommend it for project management work because it supports the job really well.

Cons

Pricing is on the higher side and some parts of the software really should be offered at a lower cost.

Feature-rich scrum support

Pros

Clean UI and plenty of options make this software pleasant to use. Every task includes time estimation and time logging which helps the scrum master understand how much work each employee has completed. It also provides burndown charts making it easier for the team to measure progress and track completed work.

Cons

I haven't come across any negative points about this software.

simple tracking success

Pros

Using this tool feels very simple from the start and it consistently gives good results. It's also been really helpful for keeping track of the project and staying on top of progress.

Cons

Sometimes the burndown chart doesn't seem to reflect the actual situation very accurately. That said, a big part of that probably comes down to how the team is managing or updating things.

Full-lifecycle project support

Pros

It handles projects of any size really well and supports the full lifecycle no matter the type of work, whether that's development, testing or maintenance. On top of that, it's highly configurable which makes it adaptable to different team needs.

Cons

Getting familiar with it in the beginning can be a bit confusing and the pricing could definitely be lower.

Highly adaptable platform

Pros

Right from the start, this application feels polished and well thought out. The functionality is advanced enough to cover an organization's needs and even go beyond that and it's flexible enough to fit a huge variety of workflows. Another big plus is the app store which offers extra add-ons that work like plugins and expand the platform even further, including things like defect tracking, reporting and more.

Cons

One thing to keep in mind is that it does take time to really learn how to use it properly. If you want to build different workflows for different task types, the level of configuration can make the learning process slower. The default setup is already useful but as you keep using it, you naturally start adding more complexity, creating queries and customizing the experience and that requires both time and effort.

Powerful ticket management

Pros

Keeping tabs on my software development team's progress is much better with the ticket system especially because of the strong tagging options and high-level filters.

Cons

At times, it feels like there's a little too much happening inside the platform which can leave me unsure of where to focus.

Useful tool but sluggish

Pros

One thing that works well is how flexible the workflow setup is since it can be customized based on what the team needs. The timesheet logging is also helpful for tracking hours spent and comparing them against the original estimates. Watchers are useful too because they make it easier to keep up with changes. I also appreciate that story cards can be linked which keeps all the task-related information together in one place.

Cons

There are a few frustrating issues though. When creating a task, the dropdown search does not always behave consistently. For example, searching with a partial word like "hel" may or may not return "hello," and sometimes the full word has to be typed before it shows up. The small pencil icon near the labels field also fails to work properly at times. Another problem is that even after configuring fields, the settings sometimes get cleared which means everything has to be configured again repeatedly. There is also no option to delete a comment or strike it out. On top of that, the overall performance is quite slow.
