Perfect tool

Pros

After trying quite a few project management platforms, this one has ended up being my favorite. It works well regardless of team size and the value has absolutely justified the cost for managing everything from engineering projects to marketing work. The bug tracking is great, it fits Agile workflows really well and the visuals and roadmap features are genuinely useful. It also transitions easily from desktop to mobile which makes keeping up with work much more convenient.

Cons

Costs can climb once the team gets bigger and we've also ended up paying for seats in the past for employees who had already left the company or for users who went months without using it at all.

story tracking challenges

Pros

It's really helpful that you can flag something as a bug, assign it to specific people and organize the work into sprints. Since I'm on a software team, the overall layout fits the way we work very well and it helps us stay aware of what still needs to be completed before anything can be pushed to production.

Cons

At the same time, finding things again after they've been created is genuinely difficult. I made a few stories that each had their own numbers but when I went back later to look for them, they weren't showing up on the board. Once work starts moving through different sprints, items end up in the backlog and it becomes hard to keep track of where everything currently stands.

sprint insight dashboards

Pros

One thing that really works well is how the dashboards can be tailored based on how each person uses the platform. Managers get a clear board-level overview while team members can focus on their own sprint work. It also offers strong analytics support, including velocity charts that make it easier to follow weekly progress and keep track of how the team is moving.

Cons

A downside is the constant stream of emails every time something changes on a ticket which can get overwhelming. The interface can also be tricky to navigate when you're not sure where to find things and the documentation could definitely be more complete and helpful.

reliable activity tracking

Pros

This software does exactly what I need for keeping track of every project activity and it works flawlessly.

Cons

One downside is that application upgrades sometimes happen during normal working hours which can interrupt users.

scriptable agile boards

Pros

Having the agile Scrum board built in makes this a really nice tool to work with. It also offers strong support for adding custom fields through Groovy scripts which gives a lot of useful flexibility.

Cons

It still needs more customization options to suit every type of business. An SMS support feature is also missing especially for sending notifications to stakeholders by text message.

flexible tagging system

Pros

Getting things set up the way I want is pretty easy especially when it comes to customizing the system and adding custom fields. The dashboards and workflow are also simple to move through so day-to-day use feels simple. Another big plus is the tagging, issue tracking and planning features which are all very useful and well put together.

Cons

There is definitely a fairly steep learning curve at the beginning so it takes some time to get comfortable with everything. The UI also feels like it could use more visual polish and it can come across as cluttered at times without offering a clear bird's-eye view.

complete management package

Pros

It works as a full package for managing projects successfully. Our company even built an integration with it and the whole process went almost easily thanks to its open API.

Cons

There are still a few weak spots in the interface. It's not always the most simple tool to navigate although that's common with a lot of software today. The overall experience could also do a better job keeping up with modern responsiveness trends.

teamwork and integrations

Pros

This has been one of the most impressive software tools I've used. It's incredibly powerful, comes with hundreds of integrations with other platforms and feels essential for software companies. The amount of collaboration and teamwork you can achieve with it is outstanding.

Cons

Apps could use a bit more polish in their design and it would be nice to have integrations similar to Basecamp's "What is the status of this" feature. Aside from that, it's fantastic.

dated but powerful

Pros

There seems to be a tool for just about every project management need you can think of. It also does a really great job of helping you track down cases from any point in history.

Cons

Interface is honestly pretty ugly. They've started redesigning parts of it little by little but right now it's still not very enjoyable to look at.

highly adaptable

Pros

There's an impressive range of functionality here. The customization options make it possible to build a workflow that feels very tailored to whatever unit or department is using it. It's an extremely versatile system overall.

Cons

At times, the software can feel a little confusing and it may take some trial and error to work out the best workflow and setup for your specific needs. Since it offers so much, that level of complexity can make it harder to navigate now and then.

ticketing suite win

Pros

It offers a well-rounded set of tools and the ticket tracking feature is one of the parts I appreciate most.

Cons

Tracking down tickets just by the associated ID can be frustrating. It should also be more easy to locate tickets when you're not tagged on them.

project tool powerhouse

Pros

One of the biggest reasons this software is so valuable is the huge range of features it offers. Being able to plan, track and build out a project from beginning to end really makes it stand out. We used it while creating an entertainment website and app and honestly, we would not have been able to pull it off without it. Adding new team members and organizing people into project-based groups was also something we really needed and it handled that well.

Cons

I think having so many project tools and management features can make the interface feel a little crowded and not the most simple at first. There is definitely a learning curve and it takes some time to get comfortable with everything it can do. Once you understand how the features work though, it becomes much easier to manage.

workflow customization leader

Pros

This platform has been excellent for keeping workflows and sprints organized. There's a huge amount of customization available and the Bitbucket integration is especially useful for tracking feature, bug fix and other branches. Having access on both the web and mobile also makes it convenient to stay on top of work from anywhere.

Cons

One thing that feels a bit awkward is editing descriptions and comments since you have to click the apply button every time. It would be much better if there were a keyboard shortcut like Command + Return on Mac or Ctrl + Enter on PC to save changes. The mobile app also crashes from time to time without any clear reason and in those moments I sometimes have to wait until I'm back at my laptop to make updates or review changes.

boards and reporting power

Pros

One thing that really helps is being able to tag tickets and quickly pull them up again using those labels. The sprint reports are useful for seeing how work is progressing and creating separate project boards makes it easier to stay on top of different sets of tickets. The issue search is very powerful especially with advanced queries and attaching images or videos to tickets is simple. It also works well for team collaboration since discussions can happen directly on each ticket. On top of that, there are plenty of helpful plugins and integrations available and the option to build custom dashboards and ticket filters adds a lot of flexibility.

Cons

It would be better if there were a more easy way to create and monitor acceptance criteria within a ticket. A preview option for the description before saving would also be really helpful.

enterprise-ready platform

Pros

After more than ten years with it, I've used it in several roles, as an end user, an administrator and someone building custom workflows across many different industries. That's really where it shines because it's incredibly flexible even if that flexibility can make it feel a bit more complex than necessary at times. It works well for software development issue tracking but it's also versatile enough to handle completely different use cases, like reporting broken lamp posts for a city. I've tested plenty of other options over the years and I'd still highly recommend it especially for enterprise environments.

Cons

It's an excellent tool but for very small teams or organizations, it can feel like more than you actually need. Some features also behave in fairly obscure ways although with time you do get used to how they work.

task and PR automation

Pros

The automatic pull request updates and task status tracking are the parts I appreciate the most. I only started using this software recently and at first it took me about two weeks to fully understand how everything worked. Now though, I'd say I'm almost completely confident using it and have a very great grasp of its functionality.

Cons

One thing I'm still unsure about is whether this software is the best fit for a small business since it can feel a bit complicated to learn at the beginning. That said, it does offer really useful sorting options, like viewing things by month, by sprint and more. I'm also sharing a few helpful introduction links for both regular users and admin managers, https,//www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHcfYoIvpPg https,//www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVdeoSN2b98 https,//www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsoDfGMzBF4

perfect for PM teams

Pros

Everything feels very easy to use. Setting up dashboards, Kanban boards or Scrum boards is simple and that alone makes it a go-to tool for project managers.

Cons

There are still quite a few nice-to-have features missing that feel essential for PM work. For example, I couldn't find a way to search by how long an item stayed in a specific state and pulling the number of unique assignees from a filter also seems to be lacking.

task tracking backbone

Pros

Across teams of all sizes, this feels like a great, enterprise-ready platform for task management and ticket tracking. It supports software development really well whether you're in a startup or a much larger organization. The feature set is strong too, with tagging, issue tracking, issue management and planning tools that make it a key part of a modern development workflow.

Cons

The agile side could definitely be built out more. Things like connecting user stories to sprints and integrating agile-focused tools don't feel as powerful as the rest of the platform and at times those features seem added on rather than fully thought through.
