excellent sprint visibility

Pros

As part of this cloud suite, this is a really great tool. It gives a clear visual view of the different parts of a sprint and the interface is pleasant to use for tracking stories.

Cons

One downside is the frequent updates that keep changing the interface which can make it harder to locate buttons for features once you've gotten used to where everything is.

shared bug tracking

Pros

While working on an app, our team used it to manage and monitor bugs and it turned out to be a really great system. Everyone could access it which made it much easier to collaborate and keep track of issues together in one place.

Cons

It can feel pretty technical for people in other departments so not everyone finds it easy to understand. Another downside is that you can't see every bug in the system which ends up causing a lot of duplicate reports.

great for documentation

Pros

This has been a go-to application for handling software project management and documentation.

Cons

Connections with other systems could be more aligned, for example, API calls could be standardized in a leaner way.

request visibility support

Pros

Most of my use revolves around sending IT requests to our headquarters and it does that job really well. It gives us a reliable way to monitor every request, along with turnaround time and costs by department. It also helps my overseas manager see the work I handle day to day and keeps my productivity visible.

Cons

Interface could definitely be more simple and user-friendly. Logging in can also be frustrating at times especially when the double-factor authentication makes access harder than it should be.

custom workflow tracker

Pros

One of the biggest strengths is how customizable it is. We were able to tailor it to fit our workflow without much trouble and creating issues and tracking bugs as things come up with the team works really well. Even teammates outside of software engineering and QA can use it without much difficulty. It's been a really valuable tool for keeping everyone aligned and on track.

Cons

The interface feels pretty busy so on smaller screens it can be harder to take in everything that's going on.

flexible setup options

Pros

There's a really strong range of project management and notification tools here that work well for both agile and waterfall software development. It can be tailored to fit the way your team prefers to operate which makes it adaptable to different business models. On top of that, there are plenty of useful add-ons and integrations that connect many of your core software tools, helping create more consistency and accuracy across the board.

Cons

I think the platform can be very complicated to navigate. The downside of having this much customization is that the number of options feels almost unlimited. Unfortunately, there isn't a proper instruction manual and the online wiki is often several versions behind which makes troubleshooting really frustrating. It's also very hard to get in touch with a customer service representative for help. Honestly, at this point, I'm not even sure how to reach one.

agile ticketing excellence

Pros

Managing tickets and stories is very easy here. It supports linking multiple items to a child ticket which makes tracking and updating work much simpler. I can also create custom subtasks within a parent ticket which helps a lot when breaking work into smaller pieces. The integration with test case management tools such as TestRail is really useful because it lets users view and update test case status without leaving the same window. Comments and updates from both QA and development teams are presented clearly so communication stays organized. It fits agile projects very well and all project-related details like scrum teams, sprints, scrum masters, QA teams, dev teams and MRD/BRD documents are kept neatly structured. Another helpful feature is being able to divide daily work hours across different tickets. On top of that, the storage capacity is very large and it supports uploading all kinds of files without any noticeable overall size limitation.

Cons

The only drawback I notice is that the webpage can load a bit slowly. Even though it mostly handles data more than heavy UI elements, there is still some lag especially when working through VDI or VPN. This becomes more noticeable in setups like India, where many QA testers usually work only through the client VPN.

bug tracking teamwork

Pros

It works really well for project and issue tracking. The biggest advantage is that it gives QA teams a simple but complete way to report bugs to the right people. It also makes back-and-forth communication around each issue very practical especially when discussing status updates or next steps. On top of that, it's very clear which items are still open and which ones have already been resolved.

Cons

One thing that can become a bit too much is the volume of emails it sends out. Cutting that down would help but I'd also like to see more notification options beyond email. For example, a desktop app that stays active during the workday and pushes alerts directly could be useful, maybe by highlighting the tool in the taskbar or toolbar when something needs attention. It would be better if people could choose the kind of notifications they want since some prefer email, others would rather use a desktop tool and people who need constant updates might even want text alerts. It also feels like it could grow further and become more of a full project lifecycle tool.

versatile workflow tool

Pros

This has been a really great option for keeping track of projects and overall workflow. It also includes timesheet functionality which is a big plus. Another thing I appreciate is how well it integrates with a wide range of other workflow tools.

Cons

It isn't the most simple platform at first so it takes a bit of time to get comfortable with how everything works.

project tracking support

Pros

We've been using it to manage project work and timesheets and it does a good job of helping us organize priorities. It makes it simple to sort bugs and focus on workflow improvements in a clear way.

Cons

The interface isn't the most simple at first so there's definitely a learning curve before it starts to feel natural.

Flexible ticket setup

Pros

Submitting tickets is very easy which matters a lot since I send quite a few of them. It's also helpful that our team can adjust the ticket setup without much trouble, including choosing which fields need to be included.

Cons

After a ticket is submitted, it does get routed to the right person to handle the issue. The downside is that because I create tickets so often, tracking down specific ones and managing where they are in the process can be a bit difficult.

Developer-friendly and feature-rich

Pros

Packed with developer-focused features, this tool makes a huge difference in keeping software projects organized. Being able to create tickets, assign work to team members, monitor progress, review tasks and more is incredibly useful no matter the size of the project. It would be tough to stay this organized without it.

Cons

The downside is that it takes some effort to learn especially for team members who aren't very tech-savvy, like those on our audio and art teams. A simpler setup or interface would probably make it more approachable for them.

Customizable team pages and filters

Pros

Having separate team pages is really useful and the ability to filter by different components makes day-to-day work much more manageable. I also appreciate the old navigation, the option to link PRs with different cards, tagging people, mobile access and the activity history.

Cons

Newer version feels less convenient to use and there's no option to switch back to the previous layout from the earlier version. Server responses can be slow at times, for example, after merging a PR and refreshing the page, it may still show as open so I have to refresh several times before it updates correctly. The app also stops working occasionally, when I open a release page, it can keep loading for a long time and then just time out. On top of that, everyone added to a card as a watcher gets every single notification when that setting is enabled which becomes really annoying. We've actually turned those notifications off because it keeps emailing every comment and update.

Workflow tools and integrations

Pros

One of the biggest strengths is how configurable it is. You can build workflows around almost any process you need. We were able to set up a change request system for our IT team, a holiday tracking process where staff submit time-off requests and managers approve them, plus software bug and feature tracking as well. There are also loads of plugins available so if something isn't included out of the box, there's usually an add-on that covers it. On top of that, it connects well with existing business tools like Slack.

Cons

A few core features feel like they should already be built in instead of needing plugins to make them work. Pricing can also climb pretty quickly. It's affordable when you only have a small number of users but once you start looking at company-wide use, the cost can become fairly high for SMEs.

Flexible and customizable

Pros

It's incredibly flexible, extensible and customizable which makes it adapt well to different team needs and workflows.

Cons

At the same time, the software can feel quite complicated. There have also been occasions when the web app wouldn't load at all. The level of flexibility and customization can push teams to lock their processes into the software which can make future process changes more expensive though some teams may actually see that as a benefit.

Too many options to navigate

Pros

It packs in just about everything you could want and then some which is a big plus. At the same time, that overload is also where it starts to work against itself.

Cons

Getting around all the options and settings is close to impossible. Things that should be quick and simple end up taking forever because finding what you need is frustratingly difficult. There are settings and choices everywhere and many features feel hidden even when they're right in front of you. Navigating the whole thing is a nightmare.

Strong integrations

Pros

Right away, this feels like a feature-packed tool that connects well with a lot of other technologies, including Git. There are also tons of plugins to choose from and the level of customization is impressive.

Cons

One downside is that the volume of notifications tied to each task can get a bit overwhelming. On top of that some things that seem like they should be easy, such as custom filtering and sorting, can be harder to figure out than expected.

Flexible issue tracking

Pros

There's a lot of flexibility in it and it does a really good job of helping me find sort and manage a wide range of issues while keeping track of progress.

Cons

It can feel a bit complicated at first although the help documentation has improved a lot in recent years. I think it makes the learning curve less frustrating.
