“Jira is pretty neat”
Pros
The integration with GitHub proves invaluable making Jira a go-to organization tool.
Cons
Nothing significant but it took some time to realize that issues moved to the "Done" column on a board automatically become hidden after some days. I noticed fewer issues to review than anticipated quickly understanding the situation.

User-friendly and supportive of the scrum project management methodology easily integrating with other project software like Outlook. Notifications are received when actions are performed on tasks enabling effective project management for teams.

“Enterprisey and slow there are slicker tools now”
Pros
In JIRA everything is essentially an "issue" serving as both a strength and weakness. Task management features are powerful yet flexible while permissions are robust but may create an admin/user divide.
Cons
Scheduling in JIRA feels either basic (due dates or a Kanban board) or highly complex (JIRA Advanced Roadmaps with plans scenarios capacity etc.). Finding the right middle ground can be challenging and JIRA expects users to work in a specific way. For businesses tracking hours linking them to tasks and projects is important. JIRA does a reasonable job but it lacks native time tracking apps requiring manual efforts in the web UI. Retrospective creation of time tracking data by employees might be a result of this.

“Scrum Master Jira Review”
Pros
What I appreciate most about Jira is its ability to customize field details within cards. Our team's administrators created a template with essential fields for all projects to meet portfolio standards. Setting up custom fields workflows and dashboards for my board was a straightforward task saving significant time for Scrum Masters when initiating a Jira project.
Cons
Regarding the tool we've been utilizing Jira for over 5 years and haven't considered transitioning to an alternative.
