“We are still on edge about Jira”
Pros
The good thing about the system is the huge number of integrations, a massive amount of possibilities, and statistics that you can use inside the platform.
Cons
The cons about this system are that, firstly its really slow as compared to all the other software out there. Secondly, too many features can sometimes be confusing and can decrease the functionality of the software.

“Jira is the Right Choice for Project Management!”

“Workflows and analytics”
Pros
One of the best parts of this software is how it lets us create workflows for our support team while also using it as a project management system for mapping software development timelines and estimates. It has genuinely changed how we approach IT and the metrics and analytics it provides give us great data to support our decisions.
Cons
There's definitely a fairly steep learning curve especially when you start working with the more advanced features like software integrations and the initial setup process. On top of that, Confluence pages offer a lot of functionality but the formatting in the web interface can feel a bit awkward and awkward.

“Agile teamwork done right”
Pros
Having the dashboard along with the categories and columns in place is essential for keeping our cross-functional team running the way it should. As a UX/UI designer, I've seen it really help our design team shift into Agile and work more closely with the larger group of developers, project owners and the SEO team.
Cons
One thing that would make it even better is adding a few design-focused features, like a dedicated field for mockups or prototypes and maybe a more simple way to bring those images into the platform. I understand the software wasn't originally built with designers as the main audience and that's fine but more designers are joining Agile cross-functional teams now so it would be nice to see that reflected in such widely used software.

“Backlog handling that shines”
Pros
When you're working in Agile, backlog management is absolutely critical. If the backlog isn't handled well, the whole project can quickly go off track. Creating backlog items, updating them and moving them up or down is very easy here and that makes day-to-day work much more manageable for Scrum Masters and Project Managers.
Cons
One area that gave me a bit of trouble was time reporting. I wouldn't call it a bad feature but it does feel like it could be simplified quite a bit. Developers especially those who already dislike filling out timesheets, would probably benefit from a more user-friendly approach.

“Fast teamwork and clear roles”
Pros
Working as a team feels very practical because task distribution happens quickly, roles are clearly assigned and every team member knows exactly what they are responsible for.
Cons
At times, the interface feels a bit redundant since some options appear repeated and it really helps to have one person dedicated to managing everything.

Pros
Everything is organized in a simple, user-friendly way so it's easy to find exactly what you need without wasting time.

A downside is that it's difficult to track a ticket after it's been submitted unless you've saved the ticket number.

“All-in-one lifecycle tracking”
Pros
Using this software feels very easy. It lets you track and document progress efficiently and it covers development lifecycle needs in one platform.
Cons
At times, it can be difficult to locate comments and the licensing cost can really stretch the budget if you need to add more users to the system.

“Versatile team workflow”
Pros
Across product, project, development and testing teams, this tool really cuts down the friction and keeps different functions organized in one place. It's simple to work with, whether you want to set up something very basic or build out a more detailed project structure. Integration with other products especially Confluence, is another big plus and makes collaboration much more connected. It's also the platform I've seen used most often in different workplaces so there's a strong sense of familiarity and adoption around it.
Cons
Certain downloads can end up being very large and heavy which makes them slower to review and harder to manage than they should be. Another oddly persistent issue is the name itself since it often needs explaining to users who aren't sure how to pronounce it, whether it's JEE-RAH, JY-RAH or something else.

“Workflows for growing teams”
Pros
With a powerful ticketing system, multiple workflow views and a lot of flexibility, this feels like an obvious choice for almost any software team beyond just a couple of developers. It's probably too much for very small projects but for anything larger, it really feels necessary.
Cons
Reporting and the different project views are pretty messy. Even experienced managers can get lost in how labyrinthine the UI is. I'm not sure what the fix is but it's a significant drawback for less experienced team leads. The UI also feels pretty insular which makes collaboration with people outside engineering harder and leads to extra tools and add-ons that never fully close the gap between what engineering sees and what the rest of the company sees.

“management made easy”
Pros
With its tasks and sub-tasks, you can build your own workflow and keep all the business processes across the organization well organized and under control.
Cons
I wouldn't say this is something I dislike but I'd really prefer better synchronization with Microsoft Teams so colleagues' photos and roles are easier to identify and track.

“Issue tracking powerhouse”
Pros
Across different teams, this platform does a really good job of handling bugs, tickets and all kinds of issue tracking. It works well not just for engineering but also for product, marketing, QA and pretty much any group that needs to communicate problems and monitor task progress. I use it for tracking project progress too, setting things up as a board with one ticket for each task. It's modern, very flexible and fairly customizable to fit different workflows even if the setup could be a bit more simple.
Cons
Getting started can be tough because there's definitely a learning curve and at times the system feels more complicated than it needs to be. It also offers two primary deployment choices, on-premise and cloud and the fact that each comes with different features and extensions can make things confusing especially when moving from one version to the other.

“Custom dashboards and project flow”
Pros
One of the best parts of using it is being able to customize the dashboard so tasks stay better organized. It also helps improve communication and customer service and it integrates well across all of its projects. When an employee explains how an issue was resolved, the matter can be closed properly although they still need to stay updated when deadlines are tight. Since each issue list can act as its own project or be grouped into broader work, it makes it possible to keep projects moving forward without slowing progress down just because there are still open issues.
Cons
Weaker side is its handling of service extensions. It can be hard to locate and clearly identify each extension which makes expanding usage more difficult. A better approach would be to bring all extension information together in one place, with enough stability and visibility to show which extensions are still active and which ones are no longer functioning.

Pros
It comes with all the tools needed for software development and feels fairly easy to use especially considering how much functionality it includes.
Cons

“Faster fixes and productivity”
Pros
Whenever a bug came up in the new system, we submitted a ticket and our IT team immediately knew where to look. That helped them resolve issues much faster and our productivity improved as a result.
Cons

“helpful linking and notifications”
Pros
Connecting different items and building lists worked really well for me. I also appreciated being able to notify people about changes by tagging their name and linking their email which was very useful.
Cons
Getting around the system was difficult and it wasn't always clear where things were located. On top of that, there were almost too many options I'd never actually use so filling everything out felt overwhelming at times.
