“Templates saved me time”
Pros
The templates are the standout feature here. We had a lot of fun testing different ones to figure out which matched our needs best and they really make day to day work much more manageable.
Cons
I would've loved to see a basic built-in marketing tool, like email functionality, included in the system because that would be incredibly helpful.

“Never lose a task again”
Pros
Keeping track of my time and tasks has been much better with this tool. I use the free version to organize my schedule and monitor the progress of my research and it has been very useful. It also works for teams although that requires a paid plan. One thing I really appreciate is being able to break bigger tasks into smaller parts and assign a deadline to each one. The software also includes other useful options, like creating graphs which helps a lot when I need to present research progress.
Cons
One area that could be better is the task status feature. It should let you show more clearly how far along a task is while it is still in progress. That would make time tracking and progress monitoring much more reliable.

“Dashboards showed us everything”
Pros
The dashboards are easily the standout feature of this platform. They have a very appealing visual style and everything feels simple to use and manage for everyone involved in a project or workflow.
Cons
At times it can feel a little too simple. What I mean is that some tasks could use more detail and stronger customization options than what's currently available.

“Great tasks, weak portfolio view”
Pros
Creating tasks is easy and the interface seems clean and organized. I also like being able to customize statuses or phases with the colors that work best for us.
Cons
We expected it to support portfolio-level project management but implementation turned out to be very difficult because the platform is really built around managing tasks grouped under a topic or project name.

“Operations finally feel organized”
Pros
Instead of sending tasks around by email and having them get lost or forgotten, we now have one central place to assign work, share updates and talk through what needs to be done. It has made a big difference in keeping everyone accountable because each person can clearly see what they're responsible for and update progress as they move through their assignments.
Cons
There are still a few features we are not using yet but we'd like to roll those out more formally in the future. As for the way we currently use it, I really don't have any complaints.

“Boards kept us sorted”
Pros
Visually Monday.com makes a strong first impression. Once everything is configured and the data is fully entered, it presents itself like a very capable system. To anyone outside the team who isn't actually using it day to day, it really gives the impression that everything is organized and under control.
Cons
Our animation work is layered and complicated, with tasks, subtasks and dependencies spread across multiple concurrent episode productions. We also need separate boards to keep those episodes distinct and each one is already a highly detailed project on its own. The platform doesn't seem able to support all the task levels we need in order to track that workflow properly. To make it work, we have to simplify our real process too much and that creates a risk of things slipping through unless someone catches them manually.

Pros
Working with teammates on shared tasks is very easy and the whole platform is organized and simple to navigate. The interface never seems overcrowded which makes it easy for new contributors to jump in and start using it without any hassle.
Cons
I have not really run into any problems with the way I use this software. If anything, there are still additional features I'd like to explore more.

“Tracking finally made sense”
Pros
Being able to follow the workflow and assign team members to each task has been really helpful. It also does a nice job of keeping deadlines visible so things are much harder to forget.
Cons
I honestly have not run into any problems using this software. I wasn't familiar with it before I started working here and now I can see how valuable it would have been in some of my previous jobs.

“Never miss a deadline now”
Pros
Keeping up with my work became much easier since I can schedule everything in one task list and track my progress as I go. Being able to tick tasks off quickly also helps me stay organized and remember what still needs to get done.
Cons
Setting up recurring tasks took more effort than it should have. I had to figure out the customization on my own and it didn't feel very user friendly since I expected that feature to be built in more clearly.

Pros
Once you understand how it works, monday.com becomes very simple to use. It works really well for personal planning as well as team projects like events social media calendars, content schedules and pretty much anything else you need to organize.
Cons

Pros
One feature I really like is being able to create a new pulse by copying and pasting a full list which makes transferring information much faster. The resource management tools are excellent as well and having the option to add unlimited users is a big plus.

“Automation bought back hours”
Pros
The interface is easy and simple to navigate. It can also be customized to match the specific needs of the work or task which is really helpful. The automation and collaboration features are especially impressive.
Cons
After signing up you do need to adjust the settings yourself since everything starts with the default setup. It would be even more useful if the software showed pop-up notifications that offered options for each setting.

“Lots packed into this”
Pros
There are a lot of features in monday.com which is definitely a strong point and the starter tutorials helped me get up to speed at the beginning.
Cons
Well it does feel complicated and expensive. I had to spend around 1 to 2 hours just learning how the software works and while I eventually figured it out, there are competing tools that are much quicker and simpler to understand.
