Clear layout made navigation obvious

Pros

The interface is very easy to understand. Everything is clearly labeled and simple to move through and once you get the hang of it, it seems top-notch.

Cons

I have not run into any major problems. There's always room for more customization and better affordability but aside from that it's a good tool.

Project organization stayed nicely flexible

Pros

Monday.com is very well designed for project management. It offers a lot of ways to organize work and the level of detail you can get into is better than with some other project management tools I have used.

Cons

At the beginning the number of setup options felt a bit overwhelming. After I started building projects and working through it more though it became much easier to find a workflow that fit.

Task tracking proved nicely versatile

Pros

At the beginning I was using it to stay organized with the day to day tasks in my freelance business and it handled that really well. After a while though I realized I personally prefer working in a kanban-style layout instead of a database-style setup. That said the table view is still very useful for managing clients and keeping track of leads.

Cons

In the end the single tabular-style format was the reason I decided to move on to something else. The iOS app also didn't feel like the right fit for the way I work.

Collaboration aligned daily operations perfectly

Pros

Using it is almost effortless because the platform is so user friendly and easy to use. The variety of ways you can build and organize Project Boards makes it incredibly flexible and capable. I have worked with other project management tools before and honestly none of them have matched what this one offers. There are also plenty of add-ons available, with new ones being introduced regularly. The tutorial videos and online help documentation are very well done which makes it easier to take full advantage of everything in the software. The ability to customize statuses and priorities helps keep work organized and focused and the collaboration features are just as user friendly as they are powerful. Altogether it makes managing and finishing projects both enjoyable and productive.

Cons

Pricing is definitely on the higher side especially when you compare it with other project management options. Still, that shouldn't be a dealbreaker. Once you move past the free trial, it becomes pretty clear that the extra cost is justified for software that offers this much simplicity, power and flexibility.

Workflow fit felt pleasantly powerful

Pros

It filled a workflow gap we hadn't even realized was there. Using it has been a really pleasant surprise because it's user friendly and genuinely effective.

Cons

One thing I am still trying to sort out is how to manage Published items so they remain under their grouped names, still appear on the calendar and don't take up too much room on the main page.

Shared visibility aligned teams effectively

Pros

For distributed teams this has been a really amazing collaboration tool. It keeps everyone moving in the same direction and gives clear visibility into projects and milestones which makes coordination much easier.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit overwhelming because the learning curve is fairly steep. That said I guess that's true with most tools and once you get past the setup stage, it works well.

Workload tracking stayed nicely flexible

Pros

When it comes to managing workload this is a really good option. It comes packed with features and gives the team a clear, simple visual view of outstanding tasks. The customization is also a big plus since it can be adjusted to fit the way your workflow already operates.

Cons

There is definitely a bit of a learning curve if you want to use it to its full potential. It also depends heavily on the whole team staying consistent with it because if people stop using it properly, the system quickly loses value. On top of that the more advanced features can get expensive, even though they are fairly important.

Flexible workflows powered daily operations

Pros

The flexibility really stands out here especially with the customisation options, automations and integrations. The templates give a decent starting point and can be adapted without much effort. On top of that the interface looks amazing and the team was able to get up to speed quickly and start using it right away.

Cons

One thing that was missing before was subitems for more detailed task management. That feature has now been added which is a good step, though it still feels like it needs a bit more refinement.

Automations proved handy saving hours

Pros

Monday.com is pretty easy to use and it offers plenty of customization options. Setting up automations and integrations is also simple which makes it useful for adapting workflows to different needs.

Cons

There's still room to improve the range of integrations and automation options, along with customization for things like forms. I have also run into a frustrating issue on the mobile app where the keyboard disappears while creating new tasks. I tried using the support tool to screen-record the bug but whenever recording was on, the problem wouldn't happen. I managed to capture it once and sent it over but support said they couldn't identify the issue. That whole interaction felt strange and ended up being a disappointing support experience.

Team organization transformed very quickly

Pros

We rolled it out for a company that was missing a reliable organizational structure and the difference showed up quickly. Before long, the whole team was back on track with their projects and tasks and it really made a huge impact.

Cons

There is a bit of a ramp-up at the beginning both in setting everything up and getting the staff fully on board. That said once it's running properly, it delivers fantastic results and absolutely feels worth the investment.

Team visibility worked across departments

Pros

Right from the start Monday.com stood out because it packs in a lot of genuinely useful features that make handling multiple teams much simpler. The boards can be customized around exactly what you need and the option to share them privately with specific members is simple but really valuable. Team members can also build their own boards and anyone can subscribe to them which is helpful when someone creates a particularly useful board and I want to follow updates directly from it. Copying a board is also very convenient especially when setting up similar boards across different timelines and it cuts down the amount of repeated work a lot. When I need to keep records or share progress with upper management, exporting a board to Excel is incredibly handy. Features like deleting and archiving are also built in and get used regularly. The filtering options are another plus since you can create filters based on exactly what you need for quicker searches. Quick links, recent items and saved searches also save a lot of time and help improve productivity. Overall the software is highly flexible, supports better output and offers plenty of customization from assigning tasks to different groups to adjusting boards, adding timelines and more. It's also reassuring that files can be recovered from the recycle bin within 30 days.

Cons

Honestly I don't really have anything negative to add here. I am happy with just about everything the software offers and it has made day to day work much easier. I am not able to comment on the pricing though since that isn't something I manage.

Team planning toolkit proved versatile

Pros

Monday.com covers a lot of the collaboration features teams usually need, like task management, prioritization, assignments, timelines, kanban boards and calendaring. It also comes in at a lower price than some bigger competitors such as Asana. For small teams wanting a tool they can use for day to day management or as a foundation for weekly check-ins, it works really well.

Cons

Compared with more organized options like Trello it does take more time to learn. There's also no permanent free plan for small organizations so once the 14 day trial ends, you have to commit financially. On top of that some important features like calendaring and time tracking aren't included in the basic plan and customer service doesn't seem to offer much flexibility when it comes to customizing plans.

Clean layout kept navigation obvious

Pros

The layout, design and overall user experience were the highlights for me while using it. I usually work in Jira but we moved to Monday.com for one project and those aspects really stood out.

Cons

One thing that could become an issue is scalability if the API isn't used properly but at this point I really don't have any complaints.

Clean design boosted productivity everywhere

Pros

One thing that really works well here is the clean, simple layout. Navigation is not a hassle and it's comfortable to use every day which matters a lot in a task management tool you're constantly working in.

Cons

That said the design does have some built in limitations that push you toward setting things up in a certain way. Because of that, flexibility can feel a bit restricted, although they do keep releasing updates and new features that could improve that over time.

Automations saved hours with clear results

Pros

The automations have been fantastic and collaborating across boards and tasks is not a hassle. Being able to customize the automatic movement of items and set up notifications has worked out really well.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is more flexibility in notification customization. Right now, even though I can choose which fields to include, the formatting gets lumped together and ends up showing as one paragraph of text.

Team organization proved powerfully effective

Pros

There are lots of features packed into this software and they really help teams work in a very efficient way. It lets you add images, stay in touch with your team and keep everything well organized which makes collaboration much better.

Cons

Honestly I was very happy with the software itself. The only reason I stopped using it was because the team I was working with decided to go with tools they were more familiar with.

Pushy pop-ups annoyed across departments

Pros

Their TV commercials definitely grab your attention.

Cons

After seeing the ad I went to check the platform out and could barely view anything because of all the pop-ups and forms blocking the screen. They collected all my information first which I really didn't appreciate and only then could I finally look at the interface. I wasn't impressed by what I saw so I left. Then the next day, I started getting emails saying things like task one had been assigned to me and all that nonsense. That's complete BS. I never set anything up and there was no task 1. The whole approach felt invasive, spammy and like a total violation of privacy.

Interactive sharing proved a winner

Pros

Working with another company on shared projects is very easy in this tool and the overall visibility is really good. We use it together with our marketing agency and it lets us track the status of every project month by month while also planning ahead. The email notifications are helpful and the whole setup seems interactive and visual.

Cons

At times I forget to add my comment and then it stays unnoticed until the next time I open the program. Still, I don't really see that as a flaw in the system because reminder pop-ups or boxes would probably end up being annoying.

Recruiting pipeline worked effectively well

Pros

At a recruiting agency, we used Monday.com to manage our hiring pipeline and it ended up being a really good fit. I am not sure how often teams use it for recruiting but it worked very well for us. The filtering options were especially helpful and made it much easier to sort through the pipeline efficiently.

Cons

One thing that got frustrating was that most pipelines and views are laid out horizontally so there was a lot of scrolling to the right. I also didn't end up getting much value from the reporting features since I hardly used that part of the platform.
