Monday.com was almost instant to use on the board-user side and managing a board with the standard features was easy too. The learning curve starts out very gentle, then gradually gets steeper as you explore more functions and customization options. Thats been a real plus because the basics are simple to learn while there is still plenty of depth available when you need more than the essentials. We have not connected it with other platforms yet but having that integration option there is definitely useful.

Cons

There are occasional outages. A few have lasted more than 12 hours, although most were resolved within 2 to 3 hours after a coworker first noticed them.

It helps a lot with keeping teams organized. The platform is simple and easy to use and everyone on my team communicates through it as the main source of information. We also use Slack and the integration between the two tools works perfectly.

One thing I wish I could do is change the email address on my account but that isn't allowed. When I joined my company, I signed up using my personal email because that's what I had at the time. Now I want to switch it to my work email and I am unable to do that.

Working with cross-functional teams as a data scientist, I rely on this platform a lot for project management. The boards and customizable workflows do a really good job of keeping everything organized and helping us stay on top of tasks. It gives our projects a decent central space for collaboration, progress tracking and overall coordination.

To me the thing that has been frustrating is that adjusting the platform for different workflows can take quite a bit of time. I have also run into plenty of situations where the mobile app doesn't perform as well as the desktop version which makes managing tasks while away from my computer less convenient.

One thing that would really help is having the option to download the log as a PDF so we can store it on our internal servers once an entire event is finished. We may not need the information in it anymore at that point but it's still valuable to keep for our records.

One odd downside is the name as it can be hilariously confusing in conversation. Saying things like I'll do it on it or Did you see what I did on it? sounds pretty ridiculous.

Keeping tasks organized is really convenient and being able to add notes under each one helps a lot when trying to stay on top of everything. The automation feature is also very useful since you can set reminders or actions to pop up weekly or monthly.

At the beginning the automation center was pretty hard for both me and my coworker to figure out. We spent several hours trying to get certain automations set up correctly but once we finally got them working, the process became much more manageable.

Like a lot of business-oriented systems, it doesn't seem very focused on people using it solo. There's a noticeable push toward adding more team members or collaborators and it would be better to have an option to strip away some of that extra content.
