powerful collaboration and automation

Pros

Monday.com is a simple way to keep track of everyday tasks but it also goes much further with features for building forms, monitoring budgets organizing events and more. It really works as a collaborative platform where teams can share information and split up work on the same project. Another standout advantage is the automation. Once you understand how to set it up, it saves a lot of time and makes workflows much more efficient. You can link tasks together, connect boards and even automate emails, like sending one when a form gets submitted. I mainly use it to centralize all content creation requests coming from other departments but also to coordinate large client events. It's a solid tool for both project management and marketing. Another major benefit is the wide range of board templates and the addition of AI.

Cons

Getting started with monday.com is where things become challenging. It took me quite a while to really understand how to use the platform properly and I'm still learning new things regularly. You need patience and a lot of trial and error to fully grasp how to make the most of the boards. The connection between boards could also be better because while you can automate the duplication of rows from one board to another, updates made to a row in one board do not automatically carry over to the other.

flexible PPM with rich features

Pros

One of the biggest reasons I went with monday.com is its flexibility and how well it adapts to my PPM needs no matter the industry I'm working in. On top of that, it provides more features than most other PPM tools I've used.

Cons

I've used monday.com in four different companies at this point and it hasn't let me down even once.

shared data control but pricey

Pros

Keeping version control across several shared spreadsheets was a real struggle before I switched to Monday. It made a huge difference by giving us one reliable source of truth for important data. With the other tools I used, different users kept saving multiple versions which caused mistakes and confusion. Monday really solved that problem well.

Cons

Pricing is the biggest downside. It does let you share with both internal and external users which is useful but even occasional internal users need a full paid seat so the cost climbs very quickly. On top of that, there's a minimum seat requirement when you start which makes it more expensive than necessary if you just want to test it out first.

fantastic collaboration and automation

Pros

Monday has been a pleasure to use especially because the platform is so user-friendly and makes collaboration between different departments much easier. The automated notifications help teams react much faster instead of waiting around to check email. On top of that, their customer support team has been excellent to work with while we continue building Monday into more of our processes.

Cons

At the moment, Monday still doesn't connect with one of the main software tools our company relies on. Thankfully, our client manager is already looking into that which is reassuring.

powerful ppm and collaboration

Pros

Beyond project portfolio management, monday.com also brings strong collaboration and resource management features that really help simplify and streamline business processes.

Cons

monday.com has been the most flawless PPM tool I've used so far and my experience with it has been very positive.

clean interface, weak support

Pros

The interface feels polished and simple so getting started doesn't take much effort. It's simple enough for people of different age groups to use comfortably, the connectors are useful and the setup process is quick. Overall it's beginner-friendly and easy to navigate.

Cons

At the same time, it falls short in a few important areas. The automation features are lacking, there's been quite a bit of downtime and the guest access setup isn't handled very well. On top of that, the pricing feels too high, support is lacking and the free plan is pretty disappointing.

handy for daily task tracking

Pros

Monday.com works really well for what we need and feels simple to use in our day-to-day workflow. We rely on it to keep track of regular tasks, onboarding and other ongoing activities.

Cons

As with a lot of task management tools, it does take some time to understand all the available options and figure out the best way to set everything up properly.

versatile project tracking win

Pros

A really solid platform for handling all kinds of projects. It performed especially well across several IT initiatives I managed for a beachside resort.

Cons

Honestly nothing specific stands out as a downside; the web app handled task tracking reliably even when work had to move through multiple phases across different IT projects.

flexible workflows and clean design

Pros

Right away, Monday.com feels polished and welcoming. The interface looks modern, is simple to move around in and doesn't feel intimidating even for people who are just getting started with project management software. One of its biggest strengths is how customizable it is as well. You can adjust boards, columns and automations to match the way your team already works, whether that's for marketing projects software development or HR-related tasks.

Cons

There is definitely a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. Even though the layout itself is simple, the large number of features, automations and integrations can feel like a lot for new users to take in all at once.

task assignment done right

Pros

Using monday.com was a really enjoyable way to keep our team projects organized. The part I appreciated most was how simple it was to assign tasks and keep everyone on track.

Cons

There was a slight learning curve at first though that also had a lot to do with the fact that I had barely worked with a project management board before.

user-friendly task management

Pros

Getting started with Monday.com feels very simple because the platform is user-friendly and simple to navigate. It works really well for managing business activities organizing tasks and assigning responsibilities to employees without confusion.

Cons

There are not many downsides to Monday.com though I do think the interface could look a bit more modern. It would also help if important file details were easier to see at a glance.

better teamwork every day

Pros

One thing our company appreciates most about monday.com is how much better it helps us work as a team, rather than everyone operating separately as individuals.

Cons

We only recently started using monday.com and at this point there really isn't anything we dislike about it.

Pros

The prebuilt templates have been a total game changer for me and they've made my day-to-day work much more manageable.

Cons

It took me a little while to get comfortable with the software and figure out where everything was but the support team was always willing to help.

powerful workflow automation hub

Pros

One of the best things about monday.com is that it automates more than 80% of manual business processes while keeping project and task management centralized in a single place.

Cons

After using it for more than five years, the problems I ran into as a new user have disappeared because the newer versions have continually fixed those bugs.

flexible workflows that save time

Pros

The visual setup and customization really stand out. We can either create a workflow from the ground up or begin with a template, then adjust every field so it fits the way our team actually works. That level of control feels really empowering and the automations have saved us a lot of time.

Cons

A few important features are locked behind the higher-priced plans which can be frustrating when you're on a smaller team. The mobile app could also perform better especially when moving between boards or trying to load larger projects.

flexible boards that keep teams aligned

Pros

Being able to see what everyone is working on in one place has been really helpful. The boards and timelines make it simple to follow projects without having to constantly ask people for updates. Another big plus is how customizable it is for different teams.. we've been able to build workflows that actually fit the way we work. It also integrates with tools we already rely on, like Slack and Google Drive which makes day-to-day work much more convenient.

Cons

One thing I'm not crazy about is that it can start to feel a bit overwhelming when there are lots of boards and projects running at once. At times, there seem to be too many options and settings so it takes some time to figure out the best way to organize everything.

versatile project management hub

Pros

Back in 2020, I began using monday.com while working as a GRA at my previous organization and it offered a broad set of features including project management, time tracking, team collaboration and instant messaging.

Cons

After more than five years of using monday.com, I honestly haven't run into any issues with it when it comes to streamlining business processes like PPM, project collaboration and time tracking.

fantastic boards and automations

Pros

Getting started with Monday.com is incredibly simple and the value becomes clear almost immediately once you build your first board. Being able to manage projects and tasks through different views like table, Kanban and calendar is really useful and the automation features are excellent. The expanding list of integrations is another big plus. On top of that, the discounted pricing Monday offers to Not For Profit organizations makes it stand out as a top option in this area.

Cons

The platform still has a few limitations, including not being able to build certain automations at the subtask level. That said the support and development teams seem to actively track feedback through their official forums. With enough user input, it feels like at least some of these gaps may be improved over time.

powerful automations and visuals

Pros

Between the AI tools, automations, visual layout and data integrations, monday.com offers a lot to work with. It's honestly impressive how much you can get done with it and how many different processes it can help support.

Cons

One downside is that monday.com can get pretty laggy and slow when loading content especially on larger boards with a lot of data in them.
