“Happy with the billing policies”
Pros
It has become the hub for how we stay connected with clients, our team and ongoing projects. We rely on direct messages constantly, keep separate channels for each client to keep communication organized and use the huddle feature more than five times a day. It's very user-friendly and we've also been happy with how their billing policies work.
Cons
I'd really like to see more built-in reminder functionality. The current reminder option is helpful when I ask to be reminded about something but having rule-based reminders would make it even better. It would also be useful to set up automations like automatically @mentioning a specific person whenever a message is posted in a certain channel.

“Ability to limit permissions”
Pros
Keeping conversations organized in a server is really simple and communicating with the team feels efficient. I also appreciate the ability to limit permissions for certain people in specific channels which helps keep the right discussions in the right places.
Cons
There isn't a way to reply directly to a specific message unless you start a thread.

“User-friendly design and helpful status”
Pros
Using it feels very natural and simple. The interface makes sense and the buttons work exactly the way you expect, whether that's swiping to reply, attaching files or handling other quick actions. The status feature is especially useful. My team relies on it all the time to see who's out of the office, in a meeting, busy or sick. It's also really helpful that Slack connects with Calendar and can update your status automatically based on your schedule. On top of that, I enjoy the design, it has a cheerful look to it and that actually matters when you're using it every single day.
Cons
mobile app doesn't always notify me when new messages come in and I've already confirmed it's not caused by my device settings. I'm also not a fan of how many steps it takes to find someone in my organization if I don't already have an active DM with them. You have to open search, go to browse people and then search again and I can never remember the process. Typing a person's name into the regular search bar doesn't help either since it only searches messages and files, not people.

“Huddles changed the way we communicate”
Pros
Adding huddles completely changed the way our team communicates. I'd still love to see screen sharing and on-screen drawing included as part of that experience.

it doesn't have enough certifications for companies that handle sensitive data such as those in the medical industry.

“Superb file-sharing feature”
Pros
Working with teammates across different cities and time zones feels much more connected thanks to the real-time communication. The file-sharing feature also makes collaboration with certain coworkers a lot simpler and helps our departments stay efficient without digging through email inboxes to find the files we need.
Cons
Huddles confuses me. A teammate invited me into one but I don't think I had everything set up correctly for whatever it was supposed to do.

“Loads quickly”
Pros
It keeps our team connected with real-time communication and collaboration. It comes with a lot of really useful features and everything loads quickly without any hassle.
Cons
The Huddles and calling feature could definitely be better since it doesn't always work that well. Aside from that, it's been an excellent fit for our team.

“Grows on you”
Pros
Slack ended up being one of those tools I didn't think much of at first but once I started using it properly, I really saw how valuable it is. In a SaaS company with a work-from-home setup, it honestly feels essential. Communication is simple and hassle-free, no need to rely on email all the time, just message people and move work along. My favorite feature is Huddle for quick two-way audio conversations. It's also pretty simple to use overall. I also really appreciate the status feature for showing availability. If I step away for lunch or I'm AFK, I can update my status so anyone trying to reach me knows what's going on. It sounds minor but when you work remotely, that kind of visibility helps a lot. Another big plus is that messages stay saved, even from a long time ago or from former team members which makes it useful for looking things up later. The number of integrations available is another reason it stands out. On top of work, our team also uses it for little things like daily trivia which gives us a fun virtual space to connect. I've also gotten the chance to meet a lot of people through different IT communities there and the quality of networking has been really impressive.
Cons
As much as I enjoy using Slack, there are still a few areas where it could be better. Even though Huddle is one of my favorite features some of my teammates have had trouble connecting to it and that can definitely be frustrating. There are also helpful features like reminders and various commands for managing tasks and communication but I wish there had been some kind of tutorial or built-in guidance to help learn those earlier. One thing I'd personally love is the option to share memes more freely. I understand it's a professional platform but sometimes that kind of thing actually helps communication. It would also be nice to have the ability to delete a message within a short time after posting it, maybe within five minutes, instead of only being able to edit it.

“No errors!!”
Pros
After using this application for more than six months, I can honestly say it has been very useful in my day-to-day work. Whenever there's an error or bug, I can message my colleagues right away through it and usually get a quick response.
Cons
At this point, I really haven't come across any downsides with this application. As a software developer, I've been able to use it without any problems.

“Search that saves time”
Pros
It really shines when it comes to search. It's very convenient to pull up any information that's been shared there and finding past messages or details is quick and simple.
Cons
It's an excellent collaboration tool overall but once we hit the limits of the free plan, it became clear that keeping it long term would be too costly for us.

“Channels are my favorite part”
Pros
Channels are easily my favorite part of this app. Switching between them feels a bit like changing TV channels and that makes community management much more convenient. It also connects really well with lots of other products so file sharing and collaboration are very efficient especially with Google Drive. Another feature I really appreciate is being able to edit a message after sending it if there's a typo which is super helpful.
Cons
app doesn't seem to have strong antivirus or malware detection built in or if it does some malware still manages to get past it. The customization also feels limited because there are only a few themes available and just having light and dark mode doesn't create a very rich experience. Some users would probably enjoy subtle shades or artistic backgrounds to make working in it feel more refreshing but that option is missing. On top of that, the interface can feel like a maze for new users and it's not very user-friendly at first glance compared with some other apps I've used.

Pros
Keeping in touch with anyone across the workforce only takes a few clicks. The instant messaging and calling features make communication and collaboration much faster, without losing time to long email threads or in-person meetings. I also really appreciate the dedicated channels since they help keep conversations centered on specific work-related topics.

Team collaboration and communication are the biggest strengths here. The topic-based groups and categories work really well for separating content by priority which keeps things organized. Discussions inside the threads are also very effective and make it easier for everyone to stay on the same page.

“Flexible notification settings”
Pros
Being able to join multiple groups is really useful and the notification settings let me choose exactly what I want to be alerted about. The pinned posts in each group make it much easier to get back to important information without digging around. Finding chats with company team members through the search bar is also very convenient and the reaction emojis add a nice touch to everyday communication.
Cons
