“Advanced search”
Pros
I really appreciate how fast it is to pull up older conversations thanks to the advanced search. It also connects with nearly every service I use which makes it convenient to keep everything together in one place.
Cons
There have been a couple of outages over the past few months and because our remote team depends on it for communication, those moments can get pretty chaotic. Still, it has only happened twice in the last year.

“Great for distributed teams”
Pros
Working with distributed teams feels much more easy with Slack. It really creates a digital workplace where people can still feel part of the team even when everyone is remote. The interface is simple to use organizing projects into channels is simple and the overall UX is far better than Microsoft Teams.
Cons
it doesn't integrate with Microsoft Office the way Microsoft Teams does which is expected but still a limitation.

“Smooth chat and file sharing”
Pros
Being able to move from messaging to audio or video calls within the same platform is the part I use the most and it works really well. I also rely on it for sending large files to other people since it handles bigger attachments than email does.
Cons
my favorite contacts seem to be arranged almost at random. Sometimes it looks based on recent message volume sometimes on importance and other times it surfaces people I may have only messaged once.

“Supports shared channels between companies”
Pros
Keeping large teams connected in real time is where this really shines. Setting up new channels is quick and it's simple to control which users can view or post in each one. It also supports shared channels between two companies by integrating their setups which makes cross-company communication and collaboration feel much more smooth.
Cons
The biggest downside is the cost especially when tools like Discord offer many of the same features for free. To be fair, there is a free version available here too but it comes with limited functionality.

“Impressive features and functionality”
Pros
It comes with really impressive features and functionality. It has made file sharing, meetings and team collaboration simple enough that anyone on the team can use it without much effort. Ever since we introduced it, almost all of our day-to-day communication has moved into this single solution. The real-time chat keeps everyone connected and setting up separate channels for different teams has helped us stay much more organized with our work. File sharing is a major part of what we do and Slack handles it in a very professional way. The integrations with apps like Google Drive and Dropbox are also a valuable addition. I use both the desktop version and the mobile app which makes it really convenient to stay connected with the team at all times.
Cons
design of the contacts tab could be better. It feels too cramped and the drop-down arrows in the channel area sometimes cover the contacts which gets frustrating. I'd prefer a different interface layout that feels more user-friendly and comfortable to navigate.

“Interactive and fun teamwork”
Pros
Getting started with this platform is incredibly simple, from setting it up and sharing access to inviting team members and launching projects right away. I've used plenty of productivity tools and this one stands out as the most interactive and enjoyable by far.
Cons
Honestly, there's nothing about it that I dislike. If I had to mention anything, it would only be that I missed the lifetime deal on AppSumo, that's the only disappointing part ,)

“Layout is logical”
Pros
Getting around it feels very natural and the features are laid out in a way that makes sense right away. It's clear the team behind it put a lot of focus on user experience and keeping everything user-friendly.
Cons
The pricing runs a little high and the free plan does come with limits especially the 5 GB cap on message storage.

“Dynamic communication with useful filters”
Pros
I really enjoy how many features the software offers to make communication more interactive and dynamic. A good example is the ability to reply to a message in a separate thread just for that conversation which keeps the main chat from getting cluttered with too many responses. On top of that, the filters for searching messages or contacts are very efficient and practical.
Cons
Users need to pay to use the video and audio features after the trial version ends. If those features were free, I think the platform would feel even more complete.

“connects with major apps”
Pros
Using it has been very simple and the biggest advantage is how well it connects with major apps and project management tools. It keeps everything in one place so there's no need to jump between different windows just to stay updated.
Cons
I haven't come across any real drawbacks with this software. Of course like any product or service, there's always room for improvement no matter how established it is.

“Love the group chat functionality”
Pros
Love the group chat functionality. Before I began working from home, I had created a group with myself and my children so I could stay in touch with them while I was at work and unable to call. Since cell phones weren't allowed at our desks, this gave me a simple way to contact any of my kids by sending a message right from my desk. I absolutely love that.
Cons
When you're in a group and a message is sent, other people in that group can click and read it. For example, if I message my workforce team about my shift or training, anyone in the group can see the response. It's not a huge issue since private groups are an option but I still think this is something that could be improved or updated.

“Info doesn’t get lost”
Pros
It has been the best communication tool I've used. It's simple to navigate, lets you create plenty of channels and bots and everything stays organized so information doesn't feel like it will get lost.
Cons
The free version already works so well that it's hard to see a reason to pay for it especially when there are usually other no-cost options available through your email provider package or tools like Telegram, Discord and similar platforms.

“Amazing integrations for teamwork”
Pros
The range of integrations it offers is honestly amazing. Just about every tool we use connects with it and that makes collaboration a lot simpler for the whole team.
Cons
The biggest frustration for me is the delay with mobile notifications. When I'm away from my computer, I'm always worried about missing messages because the alerts don't come through on time.

“perfect for managing our team”
Pros
It has been perfect for managing our team and keeping communication instant. It's basically the app we rely on for company-wide communication and rapport. We use channels for error monitoring, ticket notifications and plenty of other integrations which makes everything much more connected and efficient.
Cons
Honestly, I don't really have any complaints. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that I can't manually control the "auto away" feature, lol.

“Better setup”
Pros
Compared with the communication and chat tools we used before, this feels like a much better setup. We're able to create separate channels for each part of a project and include only the people who are actually stakeholders in that area. Since conversations inside those channels are visible to everyone in them, sharing information becomes the default instead of something people have to remember to do. Direct Messages are still available when something private or sensitive needs to be shared. The channel-based structure is also really helpful for alerts and notifications. Everyone can view notifications in one place and discuss them in the message threads. The introduction of threads is especially useful because it allows side conversations around a specific message without interrupting the main flow of discussion in the channel.
Cons
It doesn't support RTL languages and file uploads can sometimes take quite a while.

“Useful for quick check-ins”
Pros
Right from the start, it has felt very user-friendly to use. We first adopted it mainly for team communication and direct messaging during the day and it has handled that really well. The huddle feature which is a fairly new addition, has been especially useful for those quick check-ins that are better handled by talking instead of typing. It also connects well with the other software we use which adds a lot of value.
