“Widely used product”
Pros
This product is already everywhere so when a new team or teammate joins, they're usually familiar with it or can get started without much trouble. It also helps that the name is catchy and works naturally as a verb which honestly makes it more memorable. I really don't think it would have taken off the same way if it had some awkward corporate name and people had to say they were "GFKYing" a teammate with the latest report.
Cons
Getting around the platform doesn't feel very user-friendly. There are times when I have to pause what I'm doing just to work out where something is and that breaks the flow of the work.

“Solid search function”
Pros
Team communication feels much quicker and more efficient with it. Conversations are simple to keep organized through channels, threads and direct messages which makes following discussions a lot easier. The integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom and Trello save plenty of time during the workday. Search works really well and the notification settings can be adjusted to cut down on distractions.
Cons
it can get a little overwhelming when too many channels are active and notifications keep piling up. It's also somewhat heavy on system resources so it may slow down when used alongside other apps. On top of that, the premium pricing can feel expensive for smaller teams.

“Well-known collaboration tool”
Pros
It has been a very user-friendly communication and collaboration tool and it's widely used across a lot of companies for good reason. One thing I really appreciate is how simple it is to integrate other apps into the platform and it works really well for sharing content across the organization. It also syncs with our work calendar which makes it much easier to see when other people are available.
Cons
The biggest downside is the cost if we want to keep all of our messages stored in their cloud. Another missing feature is the option to use a whiteboard during video calls.

“File sharing made simple”
Pros
Slack makes file sharing simple and works really well for day-to-day work communication. The chat feature is simple to use and it also connects with other tools like Google Calendar which helps a lot with scheduling and getting meeting reminders in one place.
Cons
Having too many channels and constant notifications can get pretty distracting. The storage limit on the plan is another drawback as well.

“Been a big help for our team”
Pros
It has been a big help for our team when it comes to working together on projects, sharing files and keeping every conversation organized in one place. The integrations fit nicely into our workflow and save us a lot of time especially with direct messages, support channels and calendar sharing. It has worked particularly well for our IT and development tasks.
Cons
Every now and then, a few issues show up, usually with notifications or the search function. The file history limits can also be annoying when you're managing larger projects. Support is useful when needed but response times can be a bit slow and active chat channels need regular cleanup so they don't get too cluttered.

“Appreciate it's versatility”
Pros
I really appreciate how versatile it is. Being able to message one person, a specific group of people or others in different ways makes communication really convenient.
Cons
Managing team members isn't very user-friendly. It took me quite a bit of time to understand how that part works and I still run into trouble with it now and then.

“Top-notch work collaboration platform”
Pros
Among the work collaboration platforms out there, this is one of the best I've used. It connects really well with a wide range of tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook and Dropbox which makes quick access and file sharing much more convenient. The chat channels are also very useful since you can start a video meeting and share your screen live without any hassle.
Cons
The free plan only keeps 90 days of chat history and I'd definitely prefer it to store more than that. That said, moving up to the Pro plan does unlock unlimited message history.

“Faced no technical problems”
Pros
Using it was enjoyable mainly because of the file sharing, simple interface and chat features. We didn't end up using the scheduling or calendar tools and we also didn't run into any bugs or problems while using it.
Cons
I can't really comment on the value for money or the customer support since we never had to reach out to support and we eventually stopped using it because the cost was too high.

“Dedicated channels are a plus”
Pros
Remote work feels a lot more connected with this tool. Instant messaging, status updates and dedicated channels for specific topics help keep everyone aligned and make collaboration feel much more smooth.
Cons
Sheer volume of messages is an issue. With notifications constantly coming in from different channels, it can be tough to stay focused. It would be much more efficient if there were better ways to surface important messages or group updates together for teams.

“Prorated billing is a nice bonus”
Pros
Keeping team communication organized is where it really shines. Channels do a good job of separating conversations by topic and the search feature makes it simple to pull up older messages when needed. The integrations with other tools are also very convenient and the prorated billing is a nice bonus.
Cons
Some features still feel underdeveloped especially canvas and lists. It would be nice to have more integrations and automation options built into those areas. The pricing increase can also be a downside for smaller teams.

“Fast file sharing and timely updates”
Pros
Uploading high-quality files and sharing important information quickly is really convenient and the whole process feels very simple and smooth.
Cons
One thing I'd like to see improved is the ability for users to rename private groups themselves, not just channels, along with having more options available when creating Polls.

“Leading instant messaging platform”
Pros
It is still the leading instant messaging platform for teams, bringing together chat, file sharing and video calls in one collaboration tool. It also connects with hundreds of APIs across other corporate platforms which makes it incredibly versatile. The interface is polished, simple to navigate and the overall value for money is excellent considering how many features are included.
Cons
Customer support can be quite rigid. I needed help with a subject access request but only the primary owner of a workspace was allowed to approve it even though I'm an administrator. It would be much better if a secondary or tertiary owner could be given the same level of access, as that feels like a clear area where the platform could improve.

“Steep learning curve”
Pros
At our organization, it was used for team communication and to keep track of parts of project management. As a chat platform, it worked well and was effective overall even if it was never my top choice. There's definitely a bit of a learning curve when it comes to understanding how everything works.
Cons
I didn't care for how much it relies on command prompts at its core. Personally, commands aren't that easy to remember so that made things harder than I wanted. The channel system for organizing separate projects is a decent idea but once too many channels get created, it can turn overwhelming pretty quickly.

“Works well across devices”
Pros
I find it to be user-friendly. The mobile app and desktop version feel almost identical which makes switching between them simple and helps avoid issues. The Google Drive integration makes sharing files quick and notifications come through fast. Setting yourself as away is convenient, chatting with coworkers is uncomplicated and having topics helps keep conversations organized. The search feature is extremely useful.
Cons
The app can be buggy and you end up needing to use the web version instead. It can also get a bit confusing when you're juggling multiple channels compared with just messaging one person directly. Still, the search feature does help cut through that confusion.

“Fantastic swipe feature”
Pros
Using it on mobile has been really convenient because it includes a swipe feature that lets us quickly swipe and keep our transaction. That's a really awesome addition and makes the app feel much more practical to use.
Cons
It also helps with tracking items, similar to a tracker. I use multiple trackers and this has been useful for helping me keep track of items.

“Interactive emojis”
Pros
Having separate channels for each project really helps keep everything organized and easier to follow. The emojis and threaded replies also make conversations feel more interactive and engaging.
Cons

“Lets us share text messages and files”
Pros
It works well for official communication across the organization and feels quite user friendly overall. It lets us share messages in text form, along with files, screenshots and recordings which makes day-to-day collaboration very convenient.
Cons
It would be even better if it offered Outlook integration for meeting scheduling and calendar sharing the way Teams does. That said, it is still simple to use and works well for instant communication with colleagues across the organization.

“Simple to understand”
Pros
Getting around the interface feels very simple and the overall design is simple to understand and use. Sharing files is convenient since it supports different formats such as text, audio and video. Creating both public and private channels is also quick and hassle-free. The mobile app works well too and is just as user-friendly. On top of that, there are plenty of settings and options available to customize the messaging experience.
Cons
At times, notifications do not come through correctly which can cause some messages to be missed. The video calling feature also has room for improvement. Another downside is that the paid features are fairly expensive.

“Organized chats and quick search”
Pros
Something that really works well is how organized the conversations stay, channels, threads and pinned messages make a big difference when chats start piling up so things don't get buried as easily. The search feature also does a good job of pulling up what I need without much hassle.
Cons

“Feels like a worthwhile purchase”
Pros
It has been really helpful for real-time communication with my team and keeps our work more productive. I've been especially pleased with the scheduled messaging feature, how simple it is to use and how effective it has been for customer support as well. Overall, it feels like a worthwhile purchase and good value for the money.
Cons
File sharing doesn't always work as expected. I've also run into login problems where the app makes me sign in again and again sometimes every week.
