“Keeps remote teams connected”
Pros
Keeping a remote team connected has been effortless with this tool. It's simple to use, works really well and does exactly what we need day to day. It has also been very reliable for us, with hardly any bugs or glitches ever getting in the way.
Cons
The search feature is the part I'm least happy with. It doesn't feel as user-friendly as the rest of the platform and I wish there were a clearer way to look up older chats or documents within specific channels or conversations.

“Excellent communication tool for your team”
Pros
Quite easy to use. You can install it on both your computer and your phone which makes it convenient to stay connected anywhere. The interface is simple to navigate and it works as an excellent communication tool for an entire team. It feels interactive and definitely helps boost productivity.
Cons
There is still a bit of a learning curve at first. It can be hard to keep track of which channel certain information was posted in and sharing photos or files is a little more difficult than it should be.

“Best way to handle work”
Pros
Compared with email, Google Docs, texting and the other tools I've used, this has been a much better way to handle work and project communication. When you're working remotely, having one place to share files, calendars and ideas really matters and this does that well. I also appreciate being able to turn notifications on or off depending on what I need which helps a lot with keeping some work-life balance instead of feeling connected to work nonstop. It's also been very reliable for me, I've never had to reach out to customer support because it just works. Another feature I really appreciate is being able to switch between different IT groups in the app without logging in and out of separate email accounts tied to each one.
Cons
There are so many ways to manage communication in it that choosing the right option for a specific situation can sometimes be confusing. On top of that, my team will occasionally discuss the same topic both in a channel and in direct messages and it can be difficult to bring those separate conversations together.

“Fun, colorful feel”
Pros
It has a fun, colorful feel to it and it's a fantastic way for a work team to stay connected. The interface is pleasant to use and makes the whole experience more enjoyable.
Cons
I've consistently enjoyed using it. If activity gets really high, the notifications can become a little overwhelming but aside from that, I don't really have any complaints.

“Top communication platform”
Pros
Among workplace communication tools, this one stands out as the best in my view. The interface looks polished and modern, we almost never run into bugs or technical problems and both direct messaging and setting up group chats feel smooth. Scheduling meetings is simple too. Anytime I have to switch to another platform for the same kind of work, I end up missing this one.
Cons
A few features can get a bit irritating especially the itbot prompts asking you to connect other programs whenever you share a file related to them. Even though those notifications can be turned off, they tend to come back again pretty quickly.

“Covers all essential communication features”
Pros
Using it feels very simple and it puts all the essential communication features into one app. There's a wide range of integrations available and being able to connect different instances is really useful. It also covers pretty much every collaboration scenario with private, public and shared channels. Another plus is the option to create free guest accounts with limitations when needed. Threaded replies help keep conversations organized and the Slack bots offer plenty of practical functions, like recurring reminder messages in channels. On top of that, voice and video calls are built in which makes the platform even more complete.
Cons
A proper message quoting feature is missing. Also, once you have a lot of members, the costs can climb quite quickly.

“All-in-one communication platform”
Pros
It is simple to use but it also has the depth to handle much more when you need it. That balance has made it feel like more than just a basic chat app, it's really become a full all-in-one communication platform for our team.
Cons
The range of integrations is definitely impressive but we've run into a few problems when trying to remove some of them. Because of that, certain users ended up getting flooded with too many messages.

“Comes with useful features”
Pros
Comes with a lot of genuinely useful features, like pinning messages and setting reminders so you can return to something later if you can't respond right away. The snooze option when you're away is really handy and being able to notify everyone in a chat at once has been incredibly useful. It's also nice that memes and polls are so simple to access.
Cons
We should have the ability to name group chats so the sidebar shows a clear chat title instead of just a list of people's names. That would make it much quicker to find the specific group conversation you're looking for.

“Encourages collaboration”
Pros
It keeps everyone across the company on the same page, encourages collaboration and helps our day-to-day workflow stay organized and productive.

“Advanced tool”
Pros
Compared with most tools in the same category, this one feels much more advanced. The messaging and scheduling features are well organized and really neat and the design is simple while still being very effective.
Cons
I honestly don't have any complaints or negatives to mention. It has worked really well for me and I know plenty of other people who are satisfied with it too.

“Communication hub for teams”
Pros
Gives everyone in the organization a convenient way to communicate without needing to share personal phone numbers. It creates one central place where the whole team can chat, whether in group conversations or one-on-one messages.
Cons
I'd really like the message search to be better when looking up specific keywords especially when I need to find something the team shared but I don't remember exactly when it was posted.

“Brilliant group chat features”
Pros
It is a really useful app for managing multiple groups and keeping communication with employees in one place. It also comes with strong features for running polls and sharing documents which makes collaboration much more convenient.
Cons
I'm not a fan of the app layout. It feels pretty confusing to tell which chats are active and figuring out how to move around the application isn't very user-friendly.

“Not much to complain about”
Pros
Communication feels incredibly natural on it and that has been one of its biggest strengths for me. I can set up workflows and escalations without much hassle and the ability to have casual, everyday conversations alongside work discussions makes a huge difference.
Cons
There really is not much to complain about. The only issue I run into from time to time is when creating huddles since it can occasionally be problematic but aside from that everything works very well.

“Uncomplicated setup”
Pros
It has been excellent for sharing files since I can upload things straight into DMs without any difficulty. The Google scheduling and calendar integration also works really well. I haven't faced any bugs or issues so I've never really needed customer support even though it's available. It's very user-friendly, doesn't require any complicated setup and overall feels like the best option. The value for the money is really good and the chat features are especially strong.
Cons
I occasionally need to refresh the tab especially when my integrated social syncing software acts up and sometimes I have to restart it.

“Everyone uses it”
Pros
Coming to Slack in 2025, it already feels like the platform everyone uses. Even though I'm new to Slack, I'm not new to collaboration tools and in a workplace that mostly runs on MS Teams, I've still enjoyed spending time in it. The interface is pleasant to use and the feature set is solid with huddles, chats, DMs and the rest. It also works nicely with ClickUp now which is a welcome plus even if that improvement feels more like the third-party integration has stepped up.
Cons
I'm still having a hard time figuring out what really makes it stand apart. Since I already enjoy using MS Teams, I don't yet see a strong reason why I would pick Slack instead of Teams or even alongside it. The integrations with other platforms are good but the repeated reminders about the free Pro trial ending get irritating very quickly.

“Worth every penny”
Pros
Excellent value for the price. It's a really effective way to stay connected with your team and it's very simple to use. File sharing works really well and there aren't many bugs or problems.
Cons
There are a lot of features so it can feel a bit overwhelming at times and I don't always feel like I'm getting the most out of everything it offers. Still, at its core, it does an amazing job as a chat tool.

“Plenty of customization options”
Pros
It gives you plenty of customization options and supports large channels so it can work well for different team setups and communication needs. It has been really helpful for my company as our primary platform for staying in touch and handling day-to-day communication.
Cons
It has become hard to look back at previous conversations. It used to be simple to spot recent chats in the left sidebar but after a recent update that section disappeared and now it mostly shows only current activity. Because of that, I have to manually search every time I need to find an older conversation.

“Best workplace communication hub”
Pros
Hands down, this has been the best communication tool we've used at work. It's very simple to use, the file sharing works really well and being able to search messages and history from the last two years is probably my favorite feature.
Cons
The video and audio chat is one of the features I use most but I still run into problems getting my audio connected during video calls. Even with that, it's a very capable tool when you need a quick conversation with a coworker since you can launch a video chat in seconds with just a few clicks. I also like that a small icon appears next to your name automatically to show when you're already in a video or audio chat with someone.

“Practical solution for marketing teams”
Pros
This tool has been really simple to use and works as a very practical tool for any team especially a marketing team. The ability to create different channels for projects and clients keeps everything organized which makes it simple to track down answers when needed.
Cons
It's definitely useful but the toolset feels a bit limited in certain areas. One thing it doesn't have that would make a huge difference is employee shift scheduling. Adding that would be really valuable since it would let everyone see team availability all in one place.
