“Easy to connect with people”
Pros
Having separate channels for different teams is really useful. It makes connecting with other people and adding them to conversations pretty simple.
Cons
The layout can feel a little tricky to navigate at times. I also ran into problems with notifications not always coming through even when they were turned on.

“Fair pricing”
Pros
It has been a really solid communication tool for our team. It's simple to use, works well day to day and also connects nicely with other tools we already use. On top of that, the pricing is quite affordable.
Cons
I honestly haven't run into any issues while using it. It has been working reliably for us over the past three years.

“Useful search feature”
Pros
it makes it really quick and convenient to chat with contacts. Communication works well through channels organized by project or by team which helps keep conversations structured. I also really appreciate the search feature because it lets me find what I need again very quickly.
Cons
I often struggle with notification management because it can get pretty messy especially when several channels are active and interacting at the same time.

“Lets me send files, GIFs and other content”
Pros
Having all of our conversations in one place makes a big difference. I can set up separate channels for each project which keeps everything much more organized. Sending files, GIFs and other content is simple and the integrations are really useful since notifications from other apps come straight into Slack. It's quick, engaging and genuinely enjoyable to use.
Cons
Constant stream of notifications is annoying. It feels like there are pings coming in all day which makes it hard to stay focused on actual work. But if I mute them, there's always the risk of missing something important.

“Critical tool for professionals”
Pros
It is exactly the kind of tool every professional should have. I came across it less than two years ago and ever since then, it has replaced a huge portion of my emails because most of my contacts are already using it.
Cons
From day one up to now, I haven't run into any issues at all. It works really well and has stayed consistently reliable over these past months.

“Integrates with Notion”
Pros
Being able to create channels and organize them by category works really well for our team. The integrations are a big plus too especially Notion since that's already part of our workflow.
Cons
finding older shared files should be easier. If you can't remember which conversation or channel they were posted in, tracking them down can be pretty difficult.

“Top-tier integrations and customization”
Pros
Getting started was simple, the integrations are excellent and the interface feels simple while still offering plenty of customization. Our team really enjoys using it and the admin side has been excellent as well.
Cons
The newer AI feature still seemed pretty early in development, with incomplete or inaccurate answers and limited searching across messages and documents so we've decided not to keep using that feature for now.

“Broad variety of features”
Pros
Our team has had an excellent experience with this tool for communication. It comes with plenty of really useful features, including drag-and-drop and many others and the pricing is very affordable as well.
Cons
Honestly, I haven't run into any drawbacks while using it. It has consistently worked very well for us and we really love it.

“Cool Canvas feature”
Pros
Right away, the interface felt very simple to use and the mobile integration works really well. The Canvas feature you can add to channels is especially useful and being able to message everyone in a channel with @here makes communication much faster.
Cons
I don't have much to complain about other than the pricing structure. If a company wants to keep the full chat history, it has to pay and with a large company that uses a lot of contractors, the per-user model just isn't practical for us. I really wish the pricing were tier-based instead of charged per user.

“Perfect for getting immediate answers”
Pros
Being able to collaborate instantly with people both inside and outside the organization is a huge advantage. Getting immediate answers is absolutely critical for the way our team works.
Cons
The desktop app's interface is much harder to navigate than the mobile version. It really needs better highlighting, font changes or some other visual way to group channels more clearly. A lot of the time, I end up having to dig around just to find the channel I need.

“Has a lot of fun features”
Pros
Found it easy to use. Setting it up takes no time and it's simple to jump on video or voice calls with teammates or create separate groups for different conversations. I also really enjoy the fun touches like GIFs, along with the practical features such as Google Calendar and Dropbox integrations.
Cons
I wish it had a built-in place to keep files or notes. Whenever I switch from my desktop to my laptop, I end up emailing myself the files or notes I need.

“Works well for small businesses”
Pros
Having multiple channels, emoji reactions and pricing/accessibility that works well for small businesses and freelancers makes Slack really enjoyable to use.
Cons
Channel layout could look a bit nicer and feel more organized visually but honestly there's nothing about the app that I actually dislike.

“Amazing professional communication tool”
Pros
Using it has been really easy. It makes it simple to set up and organize channels, handle chats, share files, jump on video calls and connect with other systems. It works well as a professional communication tool and covers pretty much everything needed for team collaboration.
Cons
Ringing notifications can be bothering. When it starts, it is not always clear where the sound is coming from once the app is open so I end up digging around to figure it out. Other than that, I do not really have additional complaints.

“Neatly grouped conversations”

“consistent performance”
Pros
I appreciate how consistent it feels on both mobile and desktop, without much of a drop-off in usability between the two. The notification sound is also distinctive enough that I can immediately tell when it's Slack going off on my phone and know it's probably something important. I also enjoy being able to react to messages with whatever emoji fits the moment. The feature I probably use and value the most is forwarding other people's messages to myself so I can come back to them later.
Cons
Something I really don't care for is that older messages are now locked behind a paywall, unless I somehow just never noticed that before. Being able to look back at conversations from a long time ago would be really helpful especially when those older messages still matter for work.

“Reliable team messaging”
Pros
Getting messages out to the right people, whether in specific channels or across the whole company, is the part I appreciate most. It's really helpful for organizing communication by group and making sure the intended people actually receive those messages.
Cons
At this point, I haven't run into anything I dislike. It's been simple to use and adding other people from our company so they can get the same information has been simple too.

“Everything makes sense”
Pros
Chats, file sharing beyond just JPGs and the way channels and conversations can be organized by project make everything feel clear and really practical to use.
Cons
When channels aren't managed properly, it can start to slow work down instead of helping. At that point, it feels more like an obstacle than a productivity tool.

“Easy to check updates”
Pros
Between the messaging, quick calls and integrations with tools like Jira and Google Drive, Slack has become a really effective place to stay on top of work. I can receive notifications there and check updates directly without constantly switching between apps which makes day-to-day communication much more convenient.
Cons
teams tend to move absolutely everything into Slack which leads to too many channels and a constant stream of notifications. On top of that, management sometimes pushes people to stay active in channels just to keep them busy and that adds even more overload alongside the meetings already on the calendar.

“Simple UI and smooth integrations”
Pros
Right from the start, it has been very simple to use. The interface is tidy, the integrations with other tools work really well and there are plenty of them available. I also appreciate the night mode and the ability to be part of multiple channels at the same time.
Cons
Every now and then, I run into small bugs where notifications do not disappear like they should. Other than that, it has been working perfectly fine for me.

“Excellent for monitoring projects”
Pros
Keeping tabs on projects and looking back at conversations is very simple even when several people are involved and multiple tasks are moving at once. It gives managers a quick way to check the current status of a project without digging around.
Cons
It did take a little while to learn how to use the platform efficiently especially when working with more experienced users who already knew how to make use of the extra features.
