“Allows us to upload files”
Pros
Whether I'm messaging my boss one-on-one or chatting with the whole team, it makes communication feel smooth. I can also upload documents through a platform I trust which matters a lot since everything feels private, secure and kept away from people who shouldn't see it.
Cons
Honestly, I can't really point to anything wrong with this service. It's very helpful for staying in touch with my coworkers, it doesn't cost anything to use and it genuinely gives you that feeling of being part of a team.

“Amazing software”
Pros
It makes it really simple to stay in touch with people on my team especially my manager. It lets me communicate with everyone right away and handle issues or unexpected situations at work much faster.
Cons
I miss a pop-up notification when a new message arrives. That would be really helpful and would make things more convenient.

“Clear layout”
Pros
Using it feels very natural. Sending messages and keeping up with replies is simple and well organized which makes daily communication much smarter. I also appreciate being able to connect my calendar so teammates can immediately see whether I'm away or tied up in a meeting. Another feature I really value is the option to choose when notifications are turned off. On top of that, when someone joins a conversation after it has already been going for a while, they can still look back through the chat history and catch up easily.
Cons
Every now and then, notifications show up much later than they should after someone tags me in a channel or replies to me in a private message.

“I can set up groups”
Pros
Messaging feels smooth and being able to set up team groups really helps create a stronger sense of connection and belonging.
Cons
The video conferencing side could definitely be better. I'm not a fan of huddles and wish it worked more like Google Meet.

“Not hard to find old conversations”
Pros
I can pull up files and past conversations quickly thanks to its powerful search. The platform feels simple to use and makes direct messaging much better. It also connects really well with a wide range of third-party tools and sharing files with teammates is very convenient.
Cons
For good-quality audio and video calls in Huddles, you really need a stable internet connection.

“Dashboards keep everyone updated”
Pros
it has a very user-friendly setup and the features make integration feel smooth. It's also really helpful that team members can share dashboards which keeps everyone updated and on top of the project.
Cons
A few of the color schemes are a bit too harsh. I can only stick with one of them because the others start bothering my eyes right away.

“Central hub for work-related conversations”
Pros
An excellent platform for keeping all of our workplace communication in one place. It works really well as a central hub for work-related conversations and helps the team stay connected throughout the day.
Cons
The sign-in process is a little awkward and can be confusing at times which makes it take longer than it should. That part definitely has a lot of room for improvement.

“Valuable connections with like-minded people”
Pros
Being able to connect with like-minded people is the biggest benefit and the threaded conversations make it much easier to find useful information.
Cons
At times, it's not very clear which channels are the right ones to check for what you need and the amount of information coming from different sources can feel overwhelming.

“Timesaving integrations”
Pros
It makes team communication fast and convenient across departments and the integrations with tools like Zoom and Trello save a lot of time during the workday. I also appreciate features that help protect focus and work-life balance, like being able to set a status such as "at lunch" or "focused work time" so notifications pause and teammates understand why I'm unavailable and when I'll be back. Having message history stored for future reference is incredibly useful and team channels work well for both real-time and async communication. Features like pinned messages, polls, teammate mentions and moving side conversations into threads instead of cluttering the main channel help keep information organized while cutting down on distractions.
Cons
messages sometimes don't load on the mobile app as quickly as they do on the desktop version which has caused me to miss messages or see them later than I should have. Also, while Workspaces are helpful for organizing channels into separate groups, it can be frustrating to miss activity in one workspace when I'm currently viewing another.

“Works nicely with other apps”
Pros
Its been a great tool for team communication. It keeps conversations well organized, makes file sharing simple and works nicely with many popular apps. It's especially useful for remote teams although the free plan has limited message history and the constant notifications can become a bit overwhelming.
Cons
There are times when it feels a little slow but the support team is helpful whenever that happens. Other than that, I really enjoy using it and haven't run into any major problems.

“Creating new channels takes no time”
Pros
Creating new channels is quick and simple which makes it simple to keep conversations organized. It's also really useful that you can connect other apps to send notifications or handle certain tasks, all without leaving the platform.
Cons
The browser version isn't the strongest so the desktop app is definitely the better option. Other than that, there's really very little that would keep me from using it regularly in our day-to-day work.

“makes collaboration feel natural”
Pros
it has been really simple to use and makes collaboration feel natural. Scheduling messages, reminders and calls is simple and the newer AI features help me stay on top of everything. It also connects well with Salesforce which makes it convenient to send custom messages directly from the org.
Cons
I haven't run into anything I dislike. I can use it on my mobile and stay connected all the time. I'm also able to create channels for specific needs and add only the people who actually matter for that particular communication.

“user-friendly chat that boosts teamwork”
Pros
Right from the start, it feels user-friendly, with reactions that are simple to use and rich content editing that makes conversations much better. It lets you spend more time actually communicating and far less time trying to figure out how the tool works.
Cons
One weak spot is the calling feature or Huddles as Slack calls them. They are not as strong as MS Teams which makes it difficult to rely on Slack as the main communication tool for everything.

Pros
This tool has made communication and coordination across our organization much simpler. The dashboard is packed with really useful features especially the integrations with other tools we already use.

“Transformed how we work”
Pros
It has completely changed how our team communicates and works together. It's user-friendly, fast and makes staying connected really simple, whether we're in the office or working remotely. Channels help keep conversations organized and integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom and Asana make it much easier to organize workflows without having to leave the platform.
Cons
Notification overload is worrying at times. With lots of channels and threads active at once, it's pretty easy to miss important messages or just feel buried in alerts. Better prioritization features or smarter filtering would really help. Thread management could also be improved since threaded conversations can feel a bit complex to follow. It's not hard to lose context especially when a thread goes quiet for a while and then suddenly becomes active again.

“Communication between teams made better”
Pros
Communication between teams is much better with Slack. It really helps in a global company where internal emails usually get ignored so collaborating and staying aligned is a lot simpler.
Cons
The search feature could be better. Going back to find older messages isn't very simple and since it mostly works like a keyword search, it can bring up a lot of irrelevant or spammy results.

Pros

“Reduces back and forth emails”
Pros
It has really helped our team reduce all the back and forth emails. We also get a lot of value from its integrations with tools like Jira and Trello since we're able to manage tasks while keeping our conversations in one place.
Cons

“A great alternative to Teams”
Pros
Slack has been an excellent tool for building communication across different teams as well as within individual teams. Since we do not use Microsoft products, it fills the role that Teams would normally serve for us in many respects.
Cons
I would love to see better options for organizing channels such as folders or grouped networks. It would also be helpful if notifications were more reliable and robust when the app is not open.
