“Our go-to internal communication platform”
Pros
Slack has really become our go-to internal communication platform as remote workers and having separate workspaces for different purposes is something I really appreciate because it keeps everything much more organized.
Cons
I'm not a fan of having to sign in to each workspace separately since that can be a bit confusing for first-time users.

“I can automate a bunch of tasks”
Pros
Gives me one place to organize my thoughts, chat with my team, keep track of clients and automate a lot of routine tasks which makes day-to-day work much more manageable.
Cons
The toughest part is that not everyone is on it yet and I really wish more people would use it. On top of that, setting up certain features can be a bit frustrating at times.

“Affordable and simple to figure out”
Pros
It has worked wonderfully for me. It's very simple to learn and use and I really appreciate the pricing since it's quite affordable.
Cons
I honestly haven't run into any negatives while using it. It has continued to work reliably for me for more than two years now.

“Perfectly balanced chat tool”
Pros
This tool sits right in that sweet spot between email and Zoom meetings which helps my team connect fast and collaborate in the moment without a lot of friction.
Cons
When message volume gets really high, conversations can be tough to keep up with and it's possible to lose track of things. I've also had messages get marked as "read" by accident so a follow-up reminder feature after a set amount of time, similar to how Gmail resurfaces emails you haven't answered, would be really helpful.

“Works well with Google Drive, Trello”
Pros
It works really well with other tools like Google Drive, Trello and Zoom which is a big advantage. I also really appreciate being able to create topic-based channels since they help keep conversations clearly organized.
Cons
It can feel a bit overwhelming when notifications are not set up properly. Better built-in control over the noise especially around threads and mentions, would be a welcome improvement.

“Organized channels for teamwork”
Pros
Using it feels very simple and the channel setup does a really good job of keeping conversations organized. It's also excellent for fast communication and collaborating with coworkers throughout the day.
Cons
When there are too many messages and notifications coming in, it can start to feel a little noisy and overwhelming. Other than that, there's not much to complain about.

“Convenient invitation link”
Pros
Communication across our team has become much simpler with this tool. Getting started was quick and I can set up multiple channels to invite coworkers, who can join right away through an invitation link.
Cons
Nothing has really let me down while using it. Honestly, it's the best collaboration tool I've used so far.

“Nothing special”
Pros
It is basically another solid networking app. It reminds me a lot of other social apps like GroupMe and overall it's fairly usable though I'd rate the ease of use around 5/10.
Cons
It feels a little too similar to other networking apps and doesn't really offer enough that makes it stand out or keeps things engaging. Just recently, I got invited to something through the app and it wasn't very user-friendly to find right away. I was also expecting a more active space with like-minded people and a lively atmosphere so that ended up being pretty disappointing.

“Simple to understand”
Pros
Getting the hang of it was not hard. After that, staying connected with the team in real time became very simple and the whole thing feels quick and easy for everyone to use.
Cons
I ran into a small issue on my phone with not receiving every message but that seemed more like my own setup or user error than a problem with the product itself.

“Versatile workplace hub”
Pros
Slack fits really well with most of the other tools my organization relies on which makes it a central place for a lot of what I do during the day. It works well as a hub or portal for many of my daily tasks and conversations.
Cons
Tracking down older conversations is still very frustrating even with the newer AI features. I run into the same problem sometimes with recent chats on the mobile app too. If I view something and later forget which channel it was in, getting back to it is much harder than it should be.

Pros
It syncs really well with a wide range of third-party tools which makes it fit nicely into my workflow. It's an excellent option for direct messaging and real-time team communication and sharing files through it is very convenient too.
Cons
I'm genuinely very happy with its performance because it consistently meets my expectations and hasn't let me down.

“Feature-rich but cluttered”
Pros
Appreciate how it comes with a wide range of features and it lets you arrange your conversations however you prefer. On top of that, it includes plenty of built-in integrations so connecting it with Gmail, your calendar and other Zapier apps is very convenient.
Cons
At the same time, it can feel pretty cluttered and a bit less professional when compared with Microsoft Teams. It doesn't come across as quite as organized or as clear.

“Clear team visibility”
Pros
It has a very open feel to it, with plenty of visibility into different teams and what they're working on.
Cons

“No training needed”
Pros
Getting started with it took almost no effort and we barely needed any training. People picked it up right away and were able to use it without much guidance. The interface is simple and sending messages is fast and convenient.
Cons
Every now and then it acts up a little especially with notifications arriving late or messages not showing properly until someone reopens the app. Still, those issues are pretty minor and haven't really caused any serious problems.

“Ability to create subgroups”
Pros
Keeping in touch with people across the company feels very simple . I also appreciated being able to create subgroups within the workspace, along with the option to send direct messages to individuals when needed.
Cons
logging in could be inconsistent at times. The login process felt a little temperamental and on the free plan, messages disappearing automatically after a period of time was pretty inconvenient.

Pros
It has made communication across our team much easier. It feels like a more professional version of a regular messaging app which works really well for work conversations and collaboration.
