“Instant messaging with Slack”
Pros
It is incredibly handy for team communication. The channel setup works really well, everything stays well organized and messages arrive instantly which is extremely useful.
Cons
It can get a bit confusing at times when there are too many channels. The free plan also offers too little storage and older messages end up disappearing.

“My go-to for communication”
Pros
Having one place to communicate with all my coworkers was really convenient. The channel setup also fit the different departments well so it made conversations feel organized and relevant.
Cons
the feeds can be confusing especially when they were closed or when they seemed to stay open for no clear reason. It also felt difficult to track down older conversations.

“Custom emojis boost team culture”
Pros
Appreciate the custom emojis. As someone working remotely, being able to make and use custom emojis really helps keep me involved and connected to the workplace culture on a regular basis.
Cons
Its frustrating how channels are managed. It's very easy to end up added to far too many but at the same time leaving them means you might miss important updates. That balance isn't handled particularly well right now, you're either in everything or left out of key information. A more organized sidebar would definitely help.

“Messages, updates, files at one spot”
Pros
It made collaboration more smooth by keeping messages, updates, files and quick conversations all in one place.
Cons
At times it can feel overwhelming and it's pretty easy to miss important updates when chats move fast or get split across multiple threads.

“Love the huddle feature”
Pros
Two features I enjoy most are Huddle for video calls and the screen-recording tool especially since it also lets you capture audio and camera at the same time.
Cons
There really isn't anything significant that bothers me about the product. If I had to mention something, I'd rather it be owned by a smaller company instead of Salesforce and maybe have a different product name since it's all about helping teams get more done.

“Quick file sharing”
Pros
Keeping in touch with anyone on the team feels really simple with it. The way conversations are organized makes everything much easier to follow. Notifications come through well on both my laptop and phone which helps me stay updated wherever I am. Sharing files is quick and being able to search up older files later is incredibly useful. I also really enjoy creating and naming channels to keep topics separated. There are plenty of useful tools built in too, like polls and scheduled sending. The weekly trivia is a fun bonus as well. Overall, it has a lot of value and feels well worth what we pay for it.
Cons
There honestly is not much to complain about. The card-sending feature has not been very useful for me and some of the tools that require using a "/" command can be a little confusing at first. Setting up bots for certain functions can also take extra time and may feel a bit complicated. On top of that, I have not found the video calling feature to be especially helpful.

“Practical tool”
Pros
It is a very practical tool for professional use especially because it brings data into one central place and makes it possible to manage a team's projects in real time, with subgroups for each project for example.
Cons
I don't really see any major downsides since it addresses many issues that other platforms still don't seem to handle well.

“Fast team communication”
Pros
Keeping in touch with everyone across the company is really quick with it. Setting up groups and channels is simple which makes internal communication much more organized.
Cons
Not being able to hit Enter to start a new line is annoying. I end up sending messages before I'm ready because of that.

“Sleek design and smart integrations”
Pros
Right away, it feels polished and well thought out. The interface is attractive, modern and very user-friendly once you start using it. I really appreciate how everything is organized into chats and tags which keeps conversations structured and easier to follow. Being able to make calls directly in the platform is also a big plus and the integrations with tools like Google Drive and other platforms make it even more useful for day-to-day work.
Cons
At the beginning some of the features can be a bit confusing to understand. The platform has a lot of layers so figuring out how everything works takes some time at first. That said, once you become familiar with it, it starts to feel very user-friendly.

“Feels user-friendly”
Pros
Using it feels very user-friendly and being able to create channels for specific projects and add only the employees involved makes communication feel much more organized and smooth.
Cons
I'd really like a better way to locate older comments or mentions within a chat or thread. It would also be helpful to save certain conversations in a separate personal folder or space that's just for my own reference.

“Can mention team members”
Pros
Being able to mention coworkers in the chat worked really well and it was reassuring to know they'd get notified right away. Keeping everyone together in one place was also very helpful.
Cons
Getting around the platform and signing into the right group was really frustrating. I had to log in several times before I could access the group I needed and I kept getting removed from it without any clear reason.

“Lets me switch between workspaces”
Pros
Handling communication across multiple client organizations feels much more manageable with this tool because it lets me switch between workspaces without losing track of context. As a solo product consultant, I need to move fast while still keeping conversations, decisions and deliverables organized by client and project and the channel-based setup supports that really well. Features like Huddles are also very useful when I need to get aligned with clients quickly without going through the hassle of setting up formal meetings. On top of that, the AI and automation features have been especially helpful for summarizing long threads and cutting down repetitive admin tasks which gives me more time to focus on higher-value strategic work.
Cons
Once you are juggling multiple active workspaces, managing everything can become pretty challenging. As a solo consultant, the volume of notifications can get overwhelming and I have to keep adjusting settings constantly to stay responsive without breaking my focus. Search is helpful to a point but it does not always make it quick or simple to pull up specific past context, files or decisions from busy channels and threads when I need an answer right away.

“Worth the cost”
Pros
It has become my go-to app and our whole company relies on it for day-to-day communication across the office. One of the best parts is how well it separates starred channels and important private conversations can be pinned which really helps with keeping track of things later. Sharing files is also very convenient even when the files are large. Overall, it's one of the most practical tools we use and feels very worth the cost.
Cons
it logs me out on its own quite often and getting back in can take a while. There have also been times when calls suddenly disconnect during a huddle.

“smooth vendor communication”
Pros
Working with vendors outside the company is really convenient. It's simple to use overall and being able to open a customer support ticket just by using an emoji is a very useful feature.
Cons
Huddles don't feel as easy as making a call in other apps like Microsoft Teams. Also, shared links sometimes get sent broken or incomplete.

“Helps speed up decisions”
Pros
Right from the start, it feels user-friendly and simple to navigate so teams usually pick it up quickly. Real-time messaging helps speed up decisions and resolve issues faster. The way channels are organized keeps conversations structured and visible to everyone who needs them. Integrations with project management tools and file-sharing platforms help bring workflows into one place and the search feature makes it convenient to pull up older conversations and information when needed.
Cons
volume of messages can get noisy which makes it harder to spot critical items. Without clear ownership in threads, accountability can slip. Notifications can also become overwhelming and disrupt focus and productivity. In busy channels, important updates may get buried quickly so Slack works best at scale when there is strong discipline around channel governance.

“Industry-standard team chat tool”
Pros
It feels like the industry standard and that matches what I've seen since so many companies use it, including several places where I've worked.
Cons

“Helpful AI features”
Pros
This tool has become a really strong part of our day-to-day communication. The newer AI features are genuinely helpful especially when I need to catch up on long, messy threads after spending most of the day in meetings. My favorite feature though, is the Workflow Builder. It's been really useful for setting up standardized IT request forms, automated onboarding messages and daily standup prompts without having to pull in developers. On top of that, the huge range of integrations with the other tools we rely on saves a lot of time.
Cons
That said, the Workflow Builder only goes so far once you need more advanced automation. It starts to feel limiting pretty quickly because it doesn't offer proper conditional logic like if/then branching. When you want to create more complex, multi-step workflows with different paths based on someone's input, the built-in option just isn't enough. At that point, you still have to bring in outside tools like n8n or Zapier to handle the more complicated parts.
