“Affordable and accessible”
Pros
We chose it because it's affordable, accessible, quick to roll out and packed with useful features like threaded conversations and bookmarked file sharing.
Cons
The sheer number of channels and separate teams gets confusing and it can be tough to remember which channel is meant for what.

“Simple onboarding”
Pros
Running volunteer communication through Slack has worked really well for our church. Getting people onboarded is simple and the fun touches like emojis and quick image uploads make it feel more like a real community space instead of just another business tool. The option to create private channels is also something we really appreciate.
Cons
The upload limit can be frustrating sometimes. Since we're using the free version, we realize some of those restrictions come with the pricing.

“Integrations boost productivity”
Pros
Team communication feels really simple with it. Keeping conversations organized in channels helps a lot and the integrations with tools like Google Drive and Zoom add a big productivity boost.
Cons
Volume of notifications can get overwhelming at times especially in very active channels. Because of that, important messages can be missed if you're not paying close attention.

“Convenient dedicated channels”
Pros
Dedicated channels make it much easier to stay in touch with both clients and internal teams. Communication feels faster and more efficient especially when working alongside development teams.
Cons
Messages can get buried over time and it's easy to lose track of conversations in busy chats. Coming back after a holiday and trying to catch up on everything can feel pretty overwhelming.

Pros
It is the most powerful BIM and VC platform I've ever worked with. The mobile app also makes it really convenient to run corporate meetings online from anywhere.
Cons
It's been more than five years now and I still haven't run into any problems using it for internal communication and instant messaging.

“Brilliant tool”
Pros
Works really well for staying in touch with managers and coworkers and it gives everyone at work a place to have conversations together.
Cons
Important saved or bookmarked messages can disappear after some time. Messages can also vanish when someone leaves which makes it frustrating to keep track of important information.

“convenient to search past messages”
Pros
Our customer service conversations stay much more organized thanks to the way channels are set up. It's also really convenient to search past messages for updates or quickly share files with the team.
Cons
I'm not a fan of how overwhelming the notifications can get. If I don't fine-tune the settings carefully, it's pretty easy to miss important messages.

“Built for collaboration”
Pros
Working with it has been a really positive experience because the interface feels user-friendly and built for collaboration. It keeps our team communication feeling smooth even when everyone is working remotely. Uploading and sharing files, documents and videos right inside conversations is very convenient. The search function is also excellent, making it fast to find past messages and shared files. On top of that, its ability to integrate with other tools is a major advantage.
Cons
It has a lot of potential, along with plenty of features and flexibility. I've been very impressed overall and honestly don't have anything negative to point out.

“Saves a lot of time”
Pros
It makes collaborating with teammates really simple and cuts down a huge amount of the time I'd normally spend dealing with email.
Cons
At my previous company, I handled IT admin tasks and it was pretty frustrating trying to look up the email addresses and names of different users.

“Convenient screen sharing”
Pros
Staying in touch with teammates, other departments and even external companies is very simple with it. Starting a video call only takes a click which makes face-to-face conversations and screen sharing really convenient. It also connects well with other tools like Google and that adds a lot of value.
Cons
Something that gets a bit overwhelming on Apple devices is how both my phone and laptop can start ringing with notifications from multiple channels at once. I'd really like more control over choosing exactly which channels I want to receive notifications from.

“Simple for every situation”
Pros
Whether it's a quick one-on-one message or a conversation with a huge group, Slack is really simple to use. It works well for direct communication and also for full channels with hundreds of people involved.
Cons
if you create a group chat with more than 10 people, it has to be turned into an official channel which also means dealing with channel management.
