“Instant access to teammates”
Pros
Keeping in touch with coworkers is instant, whether I'm on my phone or using my laptop. It makes work conversations quick and convenient across both devices.
Cons
I honestly don't have any complaints. It's also really useful that documents can be attached and kept stored in the cloud.

“Flexibility and customization stand out”
Pros
It has been one of the better tools for flexibility and customization. We can set up channels for any topic we need and quickly share invite links with others. The interface feels user-friendly and the full set of emojis and reactions makes chats more engaging. Its search works smoothly too so finding messages or files is fast. I also really appreciate the canvases which work like a whiteboard and are helpful when collaborating with colleagues or clients for brainstorming, making lists or sharing files.
Cons
it's a bit pricey and the free plan comes with a few limitations.

“Clean layout for team chat”
Pros
Using it feels very simple. The interface is clean so it doesn't take much effort to locate the communication tools and get around the platform.
Cons
Scheduling and connecting it with other tools have never really clicked for me so I mostly stick to using it for communication.

“Weak SharePoint integration”
Pros
Slack's channel setup feels much more user-friendly than a lot of other platforms we looked at.
Cons
Since our team works in M365, the integration with SharePoint wasn't especially strong and it would have taken quite a bit of additional software to get everything operating the way we needed.

“Cluttered layout”
Pros
Having a free platform where a large group can communicate all at once is a really nice concept and that part works well.
Cons
The interface felt pretty disorganized although that may have come from how the organizations I joined had things set up. Still, it was often difficult to find things in the first place and even harder to locate them again later.

“Excellent security”
Pros
It's flexibility and transparency are the parts I appreciate most. It keeps all our team conversations and messages together in one place which helps everyone stay aligned and on the same page. The security is also excellent, with features like secure data storage, encrypted messaging and multi-factor authentication. On top of that, it offers plenty of automations that handle a series of tasks with very little human input which saves us from repetitive work and cuts down on bottlenecks.
Cons
At the moment, I really don't have anything to complain about. Work gets done efficiently with it.

“Our team's communication hub”
Pros
It quickly turned into the center of everything our team does, whether that's chats, meetings or alerts coming in from connected tools and integrations.
Cons
Nothing really stands out as a major problem with the app itself. If I had to point to anything, it seems more geared toward a desktop setup which feels like a slight downside for me since I prefer using it in a web browser.

After using it for the last four years, I'm still impressed by how simple and user-friendly it is. One of the best parts is being able to message someone directly without needing to set up a meeting every time.

“Our virtual office hub”
Pros
Really feels like our office while we're all working toward the same goals. The part I enjoy most is being able to create channels for absolutely anything, whether it's a specific project or totally random topics like memes or TV series recommendations. It's basically a virtual workspace where every room has its own purpose. Having everything gathered in one place saves a huge amount of time and the search feature is honestly incredible. Even with thousands of conversations going on, you can just type in a keyword and quickly pull up a message, file or link. Threads deserve a mention too because they do a really good job of keeping discussions organized and stopping the main channels from turning into a mess.
Cons
Once the number of channels and notifications starts piling up, staying focused can get a bit harder. Threads help a lot but some people still reply directly in the main channel instead of using them which creates unnecessary clutter. That said, this feels more like a user habit issue than an actual problem with the platform itself.

“Better UI, faster teamwork”
Pros
It has become my favorite because the interface looks better and the overall user experience feels more polished. The instant messaging works really well for team communication and sharing files or documents right inside chats or channels is quick and convenient. On top of that, the customer support team is very responsive, professional and fast when replying.
Cons

“Effective for company-wide communication”
Pros
It works well for both company-wide communication and conversations within smaller teams.
Cons
Some channels weren't very opt-out friendly. I'm still not completely sure whether that came from the way the company set up its corporate channels or from Slack itself making it harder to leave them but that was really the only genuine frustration I had with the platform.
