“Love the Huddle feature”
Pros
Keeping in touch with the team feels much more convenient now and the Huddle feature is probably my favorite part for jumping into quick meetings. File sharing has also been really useful.
Cons
The search feature doesn't always work as well as I expect and the desktop app can lag at times so that definitely needs some attention.

“Makes teamwork efficient”
Pros
The way it keeps conversations organized really helps when communicating and collaborating with a group. It makes teamwork feel much more manageable and efficient.
Cons
Something that could make it even better is having a more affordable plan that still includes solid tools for regular users.

“Uncluttered UI”
Pros
It feels clean and simple without a bunch of unnecessary clutter. It connects well with a lot of the apps I use every day and there are plenty of other integrations available too. The threading features are especially useful especially being able to link threads and reply across different places. The mobile app is a nice bonus as well.
Cons
Channel organization can be better since it takes a few more steps than I'd prefer. I also wish there were an option to mark all channels as read at once. Other than that, I really don't have many complaints.

“Keeps our team in sync”
Pros
It keeps our whole team connected and in sync. It also works well with most of the other tools we already use which makes everything more convenient. The /remind feature is honestly one of my favorite parts and something I rely on all the time.
Cons
No real downsides for us, we use it for all of our internal communication.

“Useful huddles and saved messages”
Pros
huddles work really well, where more than one person can share their screen at the same time so everyone in the call can look at multiple screens together. It also includes a message-saving feature which is something Microsoft Teams has removed.
Cons
It still doesn't offer read receipts for messages. That's a feature available in Microsoft Teams and several other tools.

“Makes it simple to collaborate with everyone”

“Versatile tool for work”
Pros
It comes with a wide range of features that people can use for work and plenty of other purposes as well. It's a very versatile platform overall.
Cons
Even though it feels like one of those tools that's hard to replace, I'm still hoping to see improvements in areas like canvas, lists and developer mode. If those features get more attention, it would be right on target. I also expected the team behind it to build out more functionality beyond messaging to better cover other needs.

“Vital for daily teamwork”
Pros
Slack is absolutely essential for our company since we rely on it for communication all day, every day. The platform is very user-friendly and its many integrations help our team collaborate and stay connected in a really efficient way.
Cons
Certain updates, along with the add-ons that come with them, can make the screen feel a lot more cluttered than before.

“Valuable integration options”
Pros
At its core, it works well for internal communication even though there are plenty of other options out there. One of the things that makes it valuable is how many products it can connect with which helps automate a lot of day-to-day work.
Cons
In a smaller organization, it can quickly become a mess of threads, direct messages and old channels that nobody updates anymore. The biggest frustration right now is bringing in guests, there is technically a guest option but most organizations still can't invite users on the free plan into their channels.

“Option to create different subgroups”
Pros
The interface is very user-friendly and for an organization it offers the option to create different subgroups based on employees' interests. It also lets you make those groups private so non-members can't access them.
Cons
I haven't had any negative experience with it at all, everything has been positive.

“Connects nicely with third-party apps”
Pros
It has a clean, simple interface and connects well with a lot of third-party apps. Having separate channels for different topics is really useful and the overall design is something I genuinely enjoy using.
Cons
The biggest downside is having to pay for it. Also, it can be hard to remember where something was mentioned so a keyword search across conversations would be really helpful.

“Fantastic on mobile and desktop”
Pros
Using it on both my phone and desktop has been surprisingly effortless. The interface feels user-friendly and overall it's been incredibly convenient to use.
Cons
At times, mobile notifications seem to get buried under everything else although that may be more about how I manage notifications than the app itself.

“Easy to monitor projects”
Pros
Working remotely feels a lot more connected with it in the mix. It really helps me get to know and appreciate my coworkers, while also making it simple to follow different projects, keep conversations going, share inside jokes and have one central place that supports the overall company culture and experience.
Cons
If I had to point out any downsides, it would be that Slack is almost a little too accessible which can make work-life boundaries harder to maintain when it's always there to check. Every now and then, one of the integrations also behaves a bit oddly. My Google Calendar sync, for example, will occasionally display notifications in a weird or awkward way. those are pretty minor frustrations and I have to dig a bit to come up with them.

“Can set my status”
Pros
It has been really convenient once I got into it and it feels very user-friendly. I can update my status to show when I'm available or offline which helps a lot during the workday. The thread view also makes it much easier to see where I've been tagged so I don't miss important updates. It's also useful for uploading important documents for the team to access and adding links directly into channels saves time instead of digging through other folders. On top of that, the keyword search is incredibly helpful because it pulls up terms used across channels and makes filtering much more precise when I need to find something specific.
Cons
At the beginning, it did take me a little time to understand how everything worked. Still, once I got used to it, it became a tool I genuinely enjoy using and now I can't really picture my work life without it.

“Share details faster with Slack”
Pros
It helped our team share details fast, stay connected as a group and even made room for spontaneous brainstorming sessions.
Cons
The downside for me is always feeling like I could be interrupted at any moment. I originally set aside two 2-hour focus blocks but that gradually turned into something I needed all day once I saw the team functioned just as well or even better, without me.
